Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We really appreciate the praise for our staff and our efforts to keep the hostel clean. It's also great to hear that you made good use of both of our self-catering kitchen and the bar/café for breakfast. We're sorry to hear you had a disrupted night's sleep. Whilst we don't have the means to have staff on duty all night, our team are only next door and will come straight over if we hear any problems or if called on the emergency hours number. We're very happy to keep coming out if the problem persists. In this instance our staff member on duty spoke to those still up on your corridor but unfortunately the noisy neighbour was being quiet at that time. We hope this didn't detract too much from your holiday and you will consider staying in a YHA hostel again.

Hi Grant, thanks for the feedback! During this stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, all YHA's throughout England and Wales are operating a 5pm check-in time. This is to allow the housekeeping staff the additional time they need to adhere to the strict sanitising and disinfecting protocols that are necessary to keep our guests safe during these difficult times. Should you arrive earlier than 5pm, luggage storage facilities are available and our cafe is open to serve tea/coffee etc while you wait. While we have been lucky enough to have some fantastic weather recently, it can get a bit too hot at this time of year. Pop down to reception and we can sort you out with a fan. The hostel can become rather warm when we have lovely summery weather - the river is a very popular cooling off spot! Hope to see you at the hostel again soon!

Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear you had trouble finding parking. Whilst parking in Keswick can be difficult, our staff know several places where you can park for free so give us a shout if you're struggling to find a space. When there are no spaces outside Station Road, there are often some on Brundholme Road, about 400m from the hostel. We are looking into providing more plug sockets, but there are some in each room and plenty more in our bar/lounge so you can charge whilst relaxing. Breakfast is £6.25 for a full English and continental buffet, which many guests find good value. Thanks again for the feedback.
