Quick stop on our spring break

Great location
We came to celebrate our 40th anniversary and wanted to be close to Duvall. The pool was awesome. Pool guys came by everyday to sweep the pool deck and check the water. The music from the bar behind was good to listen to at night while in the pool. We really couldn't hear it in the house. But if you're looking for privacy from your group, this would not work. We could hear every sound from the other bedroom as the wall does NOT go all the way up. But we definitely would stay here again if got the chance.

Cute House - Terrible service
The house and backyard were as cute as can be. There was black mold on the shower wall, it took forever to get them out to take care of it. Asked for cleaning products; 6 of us staying for 6 days, wanted to keep it clean. We were told they don't supply it. One dishcloth, 4 coffees, 4 pods for dishwasher. I was very unhappy with the company. Won't use them again.

We enjoyed this rental very much. EVERYTHING was within walking distance. Food, grocery, entertainment, Duvall St. The pool was much bigger than expected and an oasis. There was music from a local place but you couldn’t hear it inside.

Perfect Location
The location was perfect! We were able to park (an absolute bonus to be able to park on site) and walk literally everywhere. Yes, there is a bar that bumps at night but the music can barely be heard from the smaller room and we brought earplugs to sleep and had no issues. The pool was a FANTASTIC luxury and we enjoyed it very much between going out and just relaxing.

Great Location!
We had a such a great time. It's right off the strip and although there was a bar/club next door, when we were inside, we couldn't really hear much - which was nice! The walls that separated the rooms tho do not go up all the way to the ceiling - that was interesting! Wish there was one more bathroom as 1 for 6 people is a little tight. Private pool was amazing (and warm)! Would definitely recommend and come back again!

The Bars Music next door TOO LOUD!!! EXCESSIVE!
This is a cute little cottage, in a good location for walking everywhere. HOWEVER, DO NOT PLAN ON SLEEPING AT NIGHT! The music from the bar next door is LOUD (understatement) and plays until at least 2:30AM. It was like having a DJ in the bedroom. The subwoofers from the music were beating my chest. I would not recommend staying here if you want to go to sleep prior to 3:00AM! We can party with the best of them, and we enjoy our music, but this was EXCESSIVE! On Sunday, Christmas evening, the music was so obnoxiously loud, and they did not shut it down until 3:00AM. We were with our adult children ages 23 and 25, and even they could not stand it. The bedrooms do not have walls that go all the way up to the ceiling so do not expect any privacy. The bed in the 2nd bedroom needs a new frame. Every time my son rolled over in bed during the night it woke the entire cottage and we thought the bed was going to fall to the ground. The mattresses were fine, but get a new bed frame! This cottage also does not have any heat. Only 2 wall air conditioners. Unfortunately, we were staying during the cold snap Dec. 24-26th, and it was cold! It was 54 degrees. We did call the management co. and they brought us 4 additional THIN blankets so that helped a little. The pool was clean and warm, although it was too cold outside (54 degrees) for us to enjoy it. Having off street parking was also nice.

Thanksgiving getaway
The location of this property was ideal for our friend group, steps away from Duval and the middle of many resteraunts and shops. The private backyard and pool was well kept and enjoyed using the grill for lunch. The two bedrooms are separated by a 3/4 wall (wall doesn't go up to the ceiling so not entirely private) with the smaller bedroom having an extremely loud bed. If you sat on it the creaking could be heard throughout the home. There is a club adjacent to the property that had music playing all day and into the night which if your looking to lay at the pool in quite, this is not the place for you. You cannot heard the music in the house with the a/c's on.

Perfect spot for being close to Duval St. Backyard and pool were wonderful. The house was clean and tidy however it really needs all new mattresses including the sofa bed. Also, there was not adequate lighting in the kitchen.

Cozy cottage with amazing backyard area
Went with my husband and best friends for a week. Overall, it was great and would definitely stay again. As has been said in other reviews, it is located near bars; however, it was pretty quiet and really did not impact us much at all. The pool needs some TLC, but we were in it everyday - they had pool serviced every morning and it was clean. The floors of the residence could have been cleaner - looks like they needed a good scrubbing, but it was nothing that grossed us out. The water pressure and temp of the shower was great, the kitchen was furnished nicely. the outside grill worked good and the ambiance was amazing. It is pretty much in the middle of everything and we walked everywhere. We had no major issues. The mattresses could be better. There are large iguana's in the trees over the place, and they were cool to see. Really enjoyed our stay and we left very relaxed. Would recommend.

Awesome backyard
100% would book again solely for backyard/pool area. It was wonderful to have a private and shaded backyard with a pool. Yes, you can hear music from bar 2 doors down, but it’s not overwhelming when outside. The AC unit drowned it out at night to where we didn’t hear it either. Would note that the rooms are separate but the walls do not go to ceiling so you can hear into the other bedroom. The rooms share a ceiling fan and skylight. Beds were definitely worn out. The king bed is noticeably higher in center and low spots where you lay. The double bed and pull out couch were pretty uncomfortable as well but not to where we couldn’t sleep on them. I did notify company that it would have been nice to have enough dishes to serve guests staying in house. There were 3 plates when the vrbo slept 6. So we used salad plates for dinner plates. Overall would definitely stay there again as the outside area was so nice.

Key west family stay
Great location, nice accommodations for 4 people. Living room pull out was worn and had little bed support. Should be updated. Pool and patio were great for relaxation. Loud Music from next door club, is too much later in the evening, and doesn’t seem necessary during the day, starting at 10:00 am when no one is in the outside patio area of that location to hear it other than the neighbors.

Best and worst location
At first we love the cute little house and jumped right into the pool. There was really loud music playing from the bar the backs up to the house. It was fun 80s tunes and was fun while the kids played in the pool. Then we walked straight out of the house and where in the middle of everything for dinner. Mind you that Key west is more of adults party scene then PG rated for kids . But everything went down hill at night when we were trying to get to sleep and that bar was playing loud techno music. Then there was a raccoon running all over the Tin roof making a racquet and the master had the WORST mattress that made for a terrible night.

Location and your own pool take the stage
Being a half block off of Duval seemed too good to be true. We were a party of six, four adults two teen aged kids. The beds were good for adults but the pull out bed needs a mattress update. Luckily my kids can sleep on must things. The ad says dishwasher, and this in currently not true. It was there but is currently an area for trash cans. Pool is nice and the fact that it's all your own is a definite thing to brag about. We rented bikes for our stay. So with that and walking we could easily reach all places of interest from this central location. The bar next door can be loud during the night, but the music plays all day long so it was kind of nice while in pool area. Full kitchen was also a selling point so we could save some money with eating at the home but, we found only a couple burners worked well if even at all. So that and the dishwasher should be fixed or adjusted in the advertising. Besides that we had very few issues, would consider another stay here.

Great location and pool, but several little issues that need addressed as prices are increasing
We have stayed in this house two years in a row. Amazing location. House was ok, but the pool was great (except the lights in the pool didn’t work this last year, and there were no replacement lights). The man who who came to clean the pool was wonderful! We learned a lot about the area from him. The issues with the house were not deal breakers at the prince we were paying, but disappointing because they could have easily been fixed. Both years we were there there were several lights in the house that either didn’t work or did not have bulbs. I don’t understand this considering house keeping should be monitoring that, and it’s such a simple thing to fix. Another problem that was more of an issue was the ineffective air conditioning. Difficult sleeping at night when it’s hot. The TV in the main bedroom had a line through it, making watching a movie or show while relaxing before bed not incredibly enjoyable. While that’s not a priority on vacation, still something that shouldn’t be an issue considering the prices of TVs these days. And this last year the dryer had to be closed with duct tape, which is just ridiculous. Between the lights, TV, and duct taped dryer it seemed like the owners and management had no pride in this home. Overall, we stayed there for the location and the pool/yard, which was wonderful in our opinion. The two years we stayed there the price was amazing, so the little issues were not important. We would’ve stayed again this year, but the price increased substantially, so we decided to try something new. I am hoping that the price becomes more reasonable again in the future (or at least the house is updated to make the increased cost worth while) because the pool and location are great.

Great Location
This was 4 ladies for a 30th Bday celebration and the location couldn't have been better. Having the pool was an absolute plus. I do feel there needs some updates. The dryer still had the duct tape keeping it closed in order to use (read that on an older review). Also the door to the bathroom was held on at the bottom with a cabinet bracket with very short screws. When we opened it, the bracket screws came out. There were signs saying they were making updates, but I did also read that on a previous review as well. All in all we had a wonderful time. The noise level was minimal. Great breakfast spots right now the street, less than a block.

Location is good. Listing pics are inaccurate.
My family of 2 adults, a 15 yo, 13 yo, and 7 yo stayed here for 3 nights. The listing pictures must be from many seasons ago. They are no longer very accurate. The listing also states that it sleeps 6. We were not comfortable sleeping 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) with the beds that are there currently. I would not recommend more than 3 adults, or 2 adults + 2 smallish kids. The good: Location is steps away from great nightlife and many stores and restaurants. The master bed was comfortable. The pool & backyard area is pretty (but bring some toys or floats if you have kids). Good sized parking spot inside the gate. The noise from the restaurant/club next door did not bother us, although we could hear it. It was clean. The not good: The house is not in nice shape. The futon bed in the living room is unsleepable, even for a kid. All of the blinds in the house are broken. There is no dishwasher. The lighting was horrible. The bulbs were either dim or burnt out. The very thin extra blanket for the futon bed needs to be tossed out. The small bathroom sink mirror is the only mirror. The house was sufficient for our short stay. I’m glad we weren’t there longer than we were, and I wouldn’t stay there again as a family.

The communication with management company was excellent. There interior was very dark. All broken blinds made it feel tacky. There was a big lack of lighting. On a rainy day could not read a book anywhere but bathroom. A hole in the masterbedroom bedding. For the amount of money paid per night we expected more. The exterior was very private, well maintained and lovely. The location was excellent.

We had a great trip to Key West at this property. Location could not have been better. Property was as listed and based on the previous reviews I found it to be pretty accurate. Pool to ourselves was great to have to cool off during the heat of the day. A grill is on property but we didn’t use. Parking was great for a full size car and a golf cart with some room to spare. Two things to know…1. You are staying right behind Bourbon Street so you can expect the music but it didn’t keep us up. 2. The tree over the house drops seed pods that can make a noise on the tin roof. Overall if you are there to experience some of the great things that Key West has to offer you will be happy with your choice. We will be staying here again.

A magical property
This property is in a fantastic location. Other than the dated furnishings, especially in the living room, it was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much. The pool was cleaned each morning and the management team was very responsive when we had an issue. We will definitely stay at this house if it is available the next time we go to Key West.

Wonderful location, just off Duval Street!
We loved Key Lime Calypso. Literally in the heart of Key West, with the luxury of a fenced in back yard and heated pool. One block off Duval Street. Off street parking as well. There were a couple of things I would like to see improved. One is the smaller double bed mattress, which noticeably sags and has seen better nights. A shelf in the bathroom for personal items would be good. One word of warning about the proximity to Duval Street; the late night music can be very loud. We understood that might be the case. Should probably be mentioned in the description of the listing. It’s that loud, lol. But really an awesome place. Such a pretty backyard.

Awesome pool and back yard. It is loud secondary to the club next door but that we were warned about. The AC situation needs serious help. The front ac bit the dust. They did provide a portable unit that was inadequate. The bedroom unit was either to hot or too cold with nothing in between. Time to consider a proper ductless unit? Again great pool and great location though.

Great location, but room for improvement
Pros: The location is fantastic close to all the main attractions. The heated pool was great. Not too hot, not too cold. Perfect for the summer. We were aware of the music from the bar next door ahead of time, so it didn't bother us. There's a place to park you car. It's not very convenient, but it saves you the hassle of street parking. Cons: The parking is a bit challenging and unexpected. We drove past it because it didn't look like a parking spot, just looks like a porch. That being said, space is limited there, so not much can be done, but perhaps adding instructions starting what to look for when you book would be helpful. The place was not as clean as expected. It wasn't all bad, but during these times we were expecting more. We had to clean up the place some more on arrival. The property is outdated, which is OK if it was being upkept. Some things didn't work or were broken. For example the lights in the master bedroom didn't work and neither did both of the safes. We called the property manager but hung up after being on hold for 15 minutes. Also, the bathroom faces the street and blinds were missing over the window. Lastly, even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door, we woke up twice to find someone cleaning the pool. It would be OK if we had a heads up, but we weren't expecting that. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but mostly due to the fantastic location and the pool. I don't think we will be returning.

Perfect location and backyard stay
All reviews are accurate in the place is quite a bit outdated but the backyard, location and ability to park if you have car/golf cart are ideal. The photos don't show the front door side of the property which doesn't have the best curb appeal but you're really here for the backyard which is fantastic and everything you need. The house does not have a hairdryer (ladies beware) and the iron/ironing board were rusted so couldn't use those either. We were there for a wedding so unfornutately both were in high need. We showed up with overflowing garbage cans outside so we needed to get ride of that asap and the communication with property was excellent. We were also able to check-in early and left an item behind which the property found and shipped out to us asap. If you're not looking for a super fancy experience but want location with your own private backyard and pool-this is the spot!

The house was great! We enjoyed being a few steps from Duval. At night, we enjoyed the heated pool and listening to the live music from a few places a way. You never heard a thing in the house. Air conditioners worked great and someone skimmed the pool and swept the deck every day!

We had a few hiccups when we arrived to the property...All the outside lights were burnt out including the pool light, Total darkness! We made a call to property management and the problems were resolved semi quickly. The property was in a great location a block from Duval street, our car did not move the whole time we were there. We walked everywhere! The house definitely needed a few updates and repairs. We were surprised to find out the wall that separates the bedrooms is only a half wall meaning NO privacy. There was no mention of this on the VBRO description nor was it visible in the photos. The music from the neighboring bar was never to loud or disruptive and we were totally entertained by the Iguanas climbing the trees in the trees above the house and pool area.

Excellent stay
You cannot beat the location of this property! Easy walk to all the fun spots in Key West. The house was plenty big for our group of 5, and the outside was very spacious and private. Yes, you can hear the music from the bar next door while outside (we enjoyed it), but not from inside the house. The heated pool was chilly - we were told it takes a couple days to warm up, and since the house was not rented before us, it never did get warm while we were there for the weekend. Early check-in was easy and seamless. Great experience - highly recommend.

Great location and loved pool area.
Great location and loved the pool area but needs new mattresses in bedrooms. When i called for replacement light bulbs for bathroom (down to one bulb burning) no one ever showed. Also outdoor garbage bins were overflowing from previous guest and never placed by road for pick up so we had to pile ours around on ground.

Thanks for staying with us, Karen! This is an unusual circumstance as the unit is located on a hotel property, and they are responsible for the maintenance. We called for both of these issues, but they did not address them until you had departed. We apologize for the response time, and we will address that with the hotel management.
