Beautifully Furnished Waterfront 3 bed/2 bath Condo in Bermuda Bay Community. A former model, Terrapin Cay has numerous upgrades. Accessible by elevator third floor single level unit has beautiful unobstructed water views from every room.

Comfortable and stylish furnishings. LVP in common areas and carpet in the bedrooms. Gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, designer tile floor and raised breakfast bar for extra seating. Sound facing large deck that is accessible from great room and primary bedroom.

Located in Hamilton Cay which is part of the Bermuda Bay Community in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. Offers a community club house with fitness center and pool (mini water park complete with lazy river and slide) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. May be open some weekends during May and September. Check pool for exact days and hours of operation.

It's a very convenient one-mile drive to the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beaches. At Mile Post 8.25, the community is convenient to all the local shops, restaurants, activities and attractions that make the Outer Banks the ever-popular vacation destination. The community is just across the street from the Wright Brothers National Memorial Park. Great area for launching kayaks or Canoes. Wetlands nearby.

What makes this condo unique? Incredible views, stylish beachy furnishings, elevator, close to ocean access with two public parking lots, bath house with restrooms, outdoor showers, lifeguards, and handicap accessible beach ramps. Wonderful property that stands apart within this neighborhood. Incredible views and less traffic so the kids were able to ride their bikes and play outside. Very comfortable accommodations that are well maintained, including basic necessities, like spices etc. that make the stay even easier upon arrival. Host was very responsive and helpful. Will be back!

Great family getaway

I echo another reviewer: This was the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully decorated, clean, plenty of space and amenities, and in a great location. The owner even had a basket of nightlights to use - small details. Mattreses were comfortable and washer/dryer like new. The unit is set back in the property so there is lots of privacy and quiet, especially from the 3rd floor. Very safe location. Wagon in garage to lug all our stuff from the car was a lifesaver. We loved watching the huge Osprey nest filled with both parents and two babies from the deck and dining room/kitchen windows. We also saw deer. The sunset colors in the sky were so pretty. The owner had excellent proactive communication and helpful recommendations. All around fantastic experience.

Wonderful week on the Sound

Lovely condo with everything one could ever need! Beautifully decorated, completely outfitted, gorgeous view of the sound, and located perfectly for beaching, dining, and shopping ... and all the other adventures OBX has to offer.Open floor plan with windows all around, heavenly beds, wonderful showers, comfy couch, and a fantastic kitchen. If the beaches didn't beckon, I would have been perfectly content to stay in the condo the entire time!

First time visiting the OBX! Staying here at Terrapin Cay was a home away from home. Kitchen had everything we needed, every room was beautiful and comfortable, view of the sound was amazing and location is great!

The condo is spacious and clean. It is in a rather tranquil environment, but everything is easy to get to nevertheless. Stores, restaurants, beaches etc. are just a short drive away. We enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful Winter Family Retreat

Pictures truly do not do this property justice. It is even nicer and more spacious in person. A former model unit that is beautifully decorated and maintained. It was the perfect location for a winter weekend getaway to the Outer Banks. Even when the weather was bad we were able to curl up around the fire and do puzzles and watch playoff football. And we were so close to the many sites that we wanted to check out including The Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey's Ridge and Jeannette's Pier. Every detail has been considered in this home. It was a pleasure to stay in and the owners couldn't be nicer.

Winter Getaway

My parents and I had a delightful stay. Cannot recommend enough! Everything was very clean and the unit is both out of the way and very quiet. Beautiful evening views of the sound from the back porch, and very close to many attractions in the Outer Banks as well as Roanoke Island.

Wonderful stay

We had a bit of trouble finding the place but that's not the host's fault, moreso a navigation issue which we fixed on Google maps so hopefully? It won't be an issue of future guests. The condo is lovely, the elevator was a bit slow but not a fault of host. The kitchen had everything youd need unless youre picky like wire whisks over plastic. There were handicap accesible items in the master bath (grab bars), i ordered a shower chair while there and did instacart so options available. Beds were insanely comfortable. Note they are soft beds so if you prefer a more firm mattress you may not love them as much, my only real bedroom complaint is there are small windows up top & if you aren't a morning person and light sensitive you will wake with the sun, also be careful on the carpet, even though the condo was incredibly clean, i found a few stickers in the carpet which i had to remove by hand because of the briars, so be mindful walking barefoot, extra parking is very convenient we didn't even enter the garage. Decor was lovely, many pieces i wanted for my own home, comfortable furniture minus the chairs in the dining area, i wish had a bit of cushion but not a deal breaker. Definitely felt like coming home vs a rental as many places do. Would definitely stay again in the future. We also struggled a bit with locking the door when leaving, it would take multiple tries each time, could be a user error, so make sure to check its locked.

Our daughter got married on the sound in the Outer Banks. This property was perfect for our family and for all the girls to get ready with hair and makeup. The view spectacular, there is a beautiful catwalk nearby with reeds and birds, the host was so responsive with questions.

Family beach vacation

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful condo. We are a family of 4, with two children ages 8 and 6. It is a short drive to the beach access and has a great pool for families we enjoyed everyday. The location is great with lots of shopping and nice restaurants close by. The condo was clean with up to date appliances, great amenities, and was beautifully decorated. The view from the back porch was lovely and perfect to enjoy your morning coffee on or your nightly glass of wine. We will be back!!

Accommodations were great! Did a little childproofing and all was good. Very well supplied kitchen and beach items. Loved the decor! Comfy beds for restful sleep. Enjoyed the deck a lot. Nice breeze despite the heat. Manager very responsive to questions leading up to stay. Four adults and a toddler—we all liked Terrapin Cay at Bermuda Bay very much. Pool area a plus too. Amazing Property with Amazing Views

This place was by far the best rental we have stayed in. All you need to bring is yourselves. Everything you would need is there including beach chairs and other beach items. Condo is stocked nicely and all they ask is you replace what you finish using. And can we talk about the views! You can see the sound from every window and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony just to enjoy the view. The unit is partially handicap accessible which made it perfect for my disabled father in law. We were able to get a free beach wheelchair from the ocean resuce on the first day of our stay and they let us keep it all week long. The beach access was not very far away and with it being handicap accessible we had no issues bringing the wheelchair down the ramp. It was also nice that you can use the garage to store the stuff you do not need or want to bring upstairs. Owners were very responsive to our messgaes as well. We will definitely be booking here again!

Family OBX Trip

The condo was perfect! I, my husband, our 5-year-old twins, and my in-laws all fit very comfortably. The listing was exact and even better in person. My only wish is that the bedrooms had curtains. The sunrise would always wake us very early and it took getting used to. The location was perfect, also. This was our first OBX trip and we loved how close everything we wanted to do was to the condo. Definitely do the Wright Brother's memorial! The views from on top the hill are gorgeous! Excellent! Will be back!!

We had an amazing time staying here! The condo had everything we needed. We tend to cook a couple meals while we are on vacation and the kitchen had every single thing we needed. Beds were comfy and the layout of the condo was perfect for us. We enjoyed the view from the porch as well. Highly recommend for families! It was super conveniently located to everything. We were so busy we didn’t get a chance to check out the pool so that’ll be on our list for next time! If I had to comment on anything, I’d say just bring bug spray. There are lots of mosquitos! We couldn’t get in our van fast enough without a few flying in. Made for an interesting drive out to the main road though! All in all, we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed staying here. The host was super responsive when I had a question as well! We will be back! Thanks so much!
