Management Needs to Engage
Killarney Avenue Hotel Manager My wife and I needed to amend our travel plans to Killarney. We were hoping to arrive 21st January and depart the morning of 23rd January. Unfortunately because of storm Isha, which brought strong southwest to west winds with severe and damaging gusts, this made car travel from Galway to Killarney extremely dangerous. We will now arrive Monday 22nd and depart Tuesday the 23rd. We understand that this change is last minute but we trust you will understand our decision to be safe in our travels. We look forward to spending quality time in your Hotel. Soooooo, we received No reply from Management and Hotel.com was unable to contact the Hotel. They charged us for the two nights. The staff themselves had power outages at their homes and certainly understood our situation. Unfortunately, they were not in a decision making position. The hotel and location along with the amenities were outstanding. If only we had heard back from the senior management hiding somewhere, we could have been understanding.

The receptionist was great. Breakfast area was nice and food was good. The bar was nice with entertainment. The hotel has a horrible parking situation. The room was small and needs some updates. The bed and bedding were not comfortable. The area is fantastic.

Staff was really helpful. Location is great!!! You can walk everywhere. There is a small car park in the property... we didn't find a spot but there's a public car park nearby for a really low fare. Beautiful hotel!

We loved the location and that the hotel was separate from other properties. We were amazed at how quiet it was inside the room! We were able to walk to a vibrant shopping & dining area downtown and public transportation was readily available to other venues. Staff was amazing in all areas!

Fantastic hotel!
Fantastic hotel in a great location! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again! Staff were friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast each morning was wonderful!

Ptoperty is set back from street, so at night a bit hard to find using GPS. Everthing one would need, bar, resteraunt, and a pool and spa nearby.

When asked for a table for two host said another group had just arrived and could not seat us. When I asked for other options within walking distance and was told try the bar which was full. Left the hotel and walked a few hundred feet and asked a lady for options and was directed toward Main Street a few hundred feet more and found lots of options and had a wonderful dinner. Left me with the impression that the host would rather we not eat than go to another restaurant. A missed opportunity indeed.

This hotel was absolutely charming . I feel it was better than some five star hotels. Thd staff were friendly and helpful . It felt like coming home after a long day of visiting sites . This one will be a lovely memory . I will highly recommend .

WArning...hotels.com uses the wrong address
Killarney was our favorite town in Ireland. Be warned that this hotel is a member of a group and hotels.com does NOT give you the correct address! The address listed takes you to a sister property. The employees at the sister property are NOT friendly and do not help you find this property. GPS is minimally effective as the address you have from the booking is wrong. The hotel itself was very nice, with big rooms, and BIG bath towels. They 'ran out' of parking so we had to park over 1/2 mile away near one of the sister properties. Again, directions from the staff were awful and flippant. We eventually found a place to park on our own. Breakfast was fine, but NO ONE who served spoke a word of English and we couldn't make ourselves understood, so that made it difficult. Truly the hotel was nice, and comfortable, but the experience overall was rough.

Very large and clean room. Staff were efficient and helpful. The location is great and walkable into Killarney with all the shopping bars and restaurants. We had dinner one evening ta the hotel which was good and the breakfasts were excellent. The car park is tiny and awkward and this is the only downside to the property.

We enjoyed our stay at Killarney Avenue. The hotel is beautiful as well as conventiently located to the rail station. Killarney Avenue Hotel made our walking of Killarney so much easier. It is close to shops, restaurants, and pubs.
