'Our stay was an absolute dream! Lorna and Peter provided a one of a kind experience. Upon arrival we were giving a tour of the farm and grounds, then a walk through our cottage, which was clean, well maintained and full of activities. Lorna then invited us to check out the afternoon milking, then meet and PET the cows and then young calfs who were curious enough to walk over. 'I have to preface this with an *. I had booked the gardener's cottage but there was some sort of booking mishap and the cottage was double booked. To their credit they gave me a room in the main house which was very nice. It was technically an up-grade and there was no charge. I would have like the solitude of the cottage, but I am not upset as I had a lovely time. You should most definitely get dinner. The food was exceptional. 'Lovely cottage and well equipped. Its about a 20 minute walk into town but it is all flat walking. The only downside to the property is that there is no wifi. The bars and attractions are great and people extremely friendly. We all enjoyed our visit. Would definitely go back.'

'Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!'
