Nice lodge in sequoia park
Not the greatest luxury but certainly a good lodge to stay at sequoia. Wifi mainly works in the common room (bedroom didn’t work for us) but this didn’t bother us much. Rooms are clean and tidy. You can take gasoline at the lodge aswell as a shop and a pizza-restaurant. Breakfast with fresh fruit was also better than we expected it to be.

Midden in Sequoia NP en bij King's Canyon
Een beetje als kamperen zonder tent, de lodge is oud en de kamers ook, wel schoon en netjes. Je kan ter plaatse eten maar zorg dat je voor 19.00 besteld hebt want na die tijd wordt het lastig voor de kok.... Verderop zit een resort waar je tussen 18.00 en 19.00 buffet kan eten, maar ook daar moet je niet te laat komen want de deur gaat gewoon op slot. Ook de winkel gaat om 20.00 rigoureus op slot en als je je drankje niet gekocht hebt dan heb je dorst....

Employees were unfriendly and not helpful. Also accused us of not paying and tried to charge us twice. Room was dirty. Outlets do not work. Lamp in room did not work, ceiling fan had bulbs that didn’t work. Lost power 3 times in one night. Only perk is location. Will not be back.

Property is very old. Room and furniture are very very old. I didn’t enjoy being there. Even if they update begging etc it would be already nicer. It doesn’t cost $300 per night. Cafe is fine because the staff in cafe really cares about the food and guests even though the choice is very limited (pizza and chicken wings only), but again - the ladies in the cafe were very nice and caring!

Comfortable, excellent location.
The lobby of the lodge is under construction. The stone fireplace has been removed and the area is boarded up. This area could use more attention in cleaning. That said, The Stoney Creek Lodge is a diamond in the rough that with more TLC can become a real gem. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Excellent location between the two parks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free WIFI too!

The location of this lodge was the big win. It sits right between King’s Canyon and Sequoia. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the heat in our room didn’t work! It was so cold and when we reported it, the employee said it would get looked at but when we got back after hiking, still no heat. A different employee said she would find a space heater….but never did. There was no apologies or offers to make it right. Another bummer was that we asked how late the restaurant was open and we were told 7 or 7:30, however when we got back after a day of hiking at 6 pm….it was already closed.

Classic “Bait and Switch” building is very dilapidated, fireplace fell, boarded up. It looks like property has not been maintained in 20 years. There are caution flags, areas taped off crumbling. The amenities listed were not available, including Wi-Fi, tv, hot water, dinner or breakfast. Restaurant only served microwave pizza at 6:30. This property is the saddest “Lodge” I have ever seen. We booked two nights, canceled and would have walked away from our deposit it was so bad. Caution, read reviews before you go. Very bad experience, I was bitterly disappointed with the property, I could and would not ever recommend.

The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was really good, and the location was great. The property needs an update and a good cleaning. There is a TV in the room but no service, they do provide free Wi-Fi so you can watch shows on your phone. It could be a really nice place but in its current condition, it was overpriced.

Find something else for your dollars
We cut our trip short by one day to avoid sleeping there another night. Old, a bit scrungy, no fridge, no microwave, no TV since the snow broke the satellite… the snow also broke the chimney so it’s a “construction site”. We were in room 11, one window was boarded up with plywood and frankly, it is way way way way overpriced for what it is. The bed was not even a queen size. Yeah, you’re in the park…not worth it.

Location is perfect. But the Lodge is just not a place to stay if you have any expectations. All charm is missing. The old fireplace was tore down. Dirty and gross. The only bright light was a breakfast but that was over shadowed by a dinning room of unhappy guests. Just don't. Its a truck stop at best for campers to buy junk food.

Nie wieder! Preis/Leistung in keinem Verhältnis. Für 270.- chf kein warmes Wasser am Abend hatte es nichts zu essen. Frühstück war so lala. Aber wenn es nichts anderes gibt was will man sonst. Total überteuert.. schade..

This lodge should be a jewel in our Kings Canyon National Park. It is tired, smelly and has no air conditioning. If you wake up too early (before 8) it is tough to find coffee. The staff is nicer than the rating suggests, but they are limited to mostly saying “ I’m sorry, no.” The store is poorly stocked, but mostly the place is just run down. Don’t skip it entirely because other options in the park are similar. It feels like they have not recovered from Covid albeit over a year later than most facilities.

There are no mini-fridges or microwaves in the rooms. The winter storm wiped out satellite, so there's no tv. There's no air conditioning but you can request a fan. The fan helps but in the the afternoon, the room will get to the low 80s. The restaurant is closed! There's no ice machine after 7pm.

We arrived to the property around 8p, but the front desk staff had firm ending hours of 6p. We therefore couldn't get any ice or recommendations for places/things to eat (or access to their convenience store). There was tons of scrap wood around the shell that used to be their fireplace. The room started out really brutal with no A/C, but was very spacious for our stuff. The next morning was a 180 experience. Delicious breakfast buffet, friendly staff, ability to request ice. If not for the restrictive staff hours (only 3 people there, so understandable), I'd give this a 5.

Appreciated finding a place last minute, but the property, rooms (No a/c, wifi wouldn’t connect, no tv,) live spiders IN THE BEDS under covers, loud water pipes- woke us up when others showered on our floor. Floors were CLEAN & we HAD THE BEST BREAKFAST on a trip!!

Eclectic Old School Lodge Centrally located
If you want an old school no frills eclectic spot that’s reasonably priced to hang out in Kings Canyon //Giant Sequoias …. And centrally located..then this is the place to be. Afternoon shift crew a little bit “interesting” but on a whole nice. Our room was not ready at 3pm per the paperwork … so we killed time with a bike ride. There didn’t seem to be a place to secure bikes at the lodge … but our bikes were untouched when they were secured in the back of my car. Breakfast is diner buffet oriented … the biscuits and gravy was fantastic…. And was nice to have coffee already ready early in the morning in the lobby.
