Fiddlin 'Around biedt oude en nieuwe charme in dit schattige huis met 4 slaapkamers gelegen aan de oceaan in Duck. Geniet van de fantastische zonsondergangen op het geluid van het dek. U bent slechts een korte wandeling naar de prachtige stranden in Duck, waar u kunt surfen, zwemmen, schelpen kunt verzamelen en misschien zelfs een zeeglas of gewoon kunt ontspannen en genieten van de zeebries en u bent slechts een korte wandeling naar de toegang langs de rustige kant. Veel ruimte om te genieten van een aantal heerlijke maaltijden of gewoon relaxen en wat filmtijd hebben.

Als je een week niet weg bent, biedt dit huis altijd een kort verblijf, dus pak je koffers in en kom voor 3 nachten of meer!

The Town of Duck biedt een prachtige promenade met lokale restaurants, winkels en buitenactiviteiten. The Village Table and Tavern ligt op loopafstand en biedt heerlijk eten en geweldige uitzichten.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Mostly Good, Few Things Could Be Better

Would we stay here again? Probably if we couldn’t find something else. Pros: - The location is ideal, ocean side and 5 min walk to the beach. Easily walk or bike to downtown Duck. Upstairs deck offers amazing sunset views. - Kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils and appliances, including an air fryer. - Bathrooms are on the small side, but they have been updated and were clean. - AC works perfectly - Great communication from property management company. Cons: - Outdoor space was a let down. There are two decks in good condition, but the outdoor furniture is very cheap, old, rusty or so low to the ground that you stare at the railing. The outdoor dining only seats 4 and is a rusty table that is chipping. There is absolutely no shade in the afternoon, so don’t plan dinners outside. - Bring your own grill. The park-like grill at the house was inaccessible due to the overgrown yard. We ended up having to go out and buy a grill. Simple maintenance would alleviate this issue - Outdoor shower doesn’t work. After cutting back all the overgrown vines and sweeping out the cobwebs, I was let down to realize the fixture was corroded and busted. Again, simple maintenance. - The beds are very uncomfortable. Everyone had rough nights sleep. Investment in just slightly better mattresses would make a world of difference. - No pool. That was clear in the booking. I mention it because we thought we didn’t want a place with a pool, but realized it would have been nice.

Cozy cabin but could use some deep cleaning!

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay. This house is a short walk to the beach which made it very convenient. The cabin-like interior and all the books/board games it came with made it a super cozy beach experience. However, we booked this property for our annual 4th of July BBQ so we were very excited to use the outdoor grill. Unfortunately, the house is surrounded by poison ivy, weeds, and large shrubs which made it nearly impossible to grill - We had to cancel our family BBQ. The house could use some serious yard work and deep cleaning inside and out. Not to mention, the trash bin was full when we arrived. Lastly, the lock/door frame of the basement door leading to the outside needs to be replaced - We had to board up the door with wooden planks from the inside because we were concerned about our safety. Anyone can easily push in the door from the outside and enter the house. We're grateful that we were able to find a decent affordable stay at the last minute, but had to give this experience a 3/5, mostly due to the cleanliness and safety.

Nice house but needs some TLC

The house was nice and the location was good but the house needed some TLC. The house was clean but full of flies, dead and alive, especially in the basement where the washer and dryer was. The outside of the house needed serious upkeep, didn't even feel comfortable using the outside shower after coming from the beach. And the house had a pungent smell.

We loved the location in a quiet beach neighborhood near “downtown” Duck! The house was just what we were looking for, a cozy beach cabin where we could unplug with the kids to read books and play games.

Family Turkey Day Getaway

The location of this property was fantastic and just what we were looking for with proximity to the beach and sound. The property needed some overall cosmetic updating. The wooden deck chairs were broken in many places with screws sticking out. They should be replaced before young children/families stay. The master beds were very uncomfortable. Also some windows didn’t open on the main floor. Rugs seemed stained/soiled upstairs but no odor thankfully. The keyless entry was helpful for family members going in different directions throughout the day. The gated deck was helpful for us with the dog. Mediocre rating only because we didn’t have much contact, however the emails told us everything we needed to know.

Very nice property

Quite charming, not far from the beach, well stocked, wonderful library. Pretty rooms. We really enjoyed it. Would recommend repairing some of the windows and mosquito net. They dont close well. The ice maker is broken and the chairs outside are falling à not apart.

Ducky in Duck!

Our group had a lovely stay in this Duck Property. The house is slightly dated but had all the amenities we needed. There were absolutely no pantry items such as salt, pepper, oil, etc - but given the covid situation we completely understand. Just a heads up for anyone traveling here to be sure to bring any items you need for cooking, including all your spices. Walk to the beach from the house was very close - and Wow is the beach spectacular! Gorgeous sunsets too. The island was super crowded, so give yourself ample time to get around. All in all a fantastic trip that we will always remember.

For most part everything was excellent. Little disappointed in outside property and over grown shrubs and walk ways. Outside shower and stairs up to house we had to clean ourselves in order to use and not get attacked by spider webs, same with downstairs table. Made grilling not as convenient.
