Geen "Fowl Play" in dit prachtige eend aan zee huis met prive zwembad, bubbelbad, bar aan het zwembad, en laat honden! Het heeft zelfs een LIFT. Verbluffende afspraken zijn hardhouten vloeren, granieten aanrecht en smaakvolle inrichting. Alle zes slaapkamers hebben een eigen meesterbad en een lcd-tv voor uw eigen privé-oase wanneer u wat rustige tijd nodig heeft. Maar als je van spelen houdt, is dit het huis voor jou! De buitenkant leefruimte rond het zwembad omvat ruime terrassen rond het zwembad voor veel ruimte om rond te hangen en wat zon te krijgen. De Tikki Bar aan het zwembad wordt het middelpunt van het feest en de hot tub is een koele plek onder de pergola bij het zwembad. Zorg ervoor dat je ook in de herfst en lente komt, want het zwembad kan worden verwarmd als je wilt. De LIFT geeft eenvoudig toegang tot alle verdiepingen voor elk gezinslid en maakt het lossen en laden zoveel gemakkelijker.

Games in overvloed zouden hier de naam moeten zijn! Binnen is er een grote pooltafel met een grote natte bar voor de hele bende, volleybal, hoefijzers en basketbaldoel. "Fowl Play" is gelegen in het midden van Duck Village in Saltaire, om gemakkelijk naar het dorp te wandelen om te winkelen, restaurants, coffeeshops, groenten en vismarkt. Dit is een geweldige plek om de hond uit te laten en de bezienswaardigheden te bekijken. Of, voor de meer actieve set, kun je het multi-use pad nemen en kilometers wandelen of fietsen langs de noordelijke Outer Banks naar beneden door Southern Shores en omhoog door Pine Island en verder.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The host was fine and the size of the house was great for our large extended family. However there were many problems with the house. It is clear the house is older and is in need of some repairs and updates. The area rug in living room is so curled it is a tripping hazard. Both dishwashers are in need of repair and difficult to open and close. The clothes dryer does not dry efficiently due to the vent being blocked. One drawers in kitchen is falling apart every time you open it. We realize the price of the house was very low. Now we know why!

It was well maintained and spacious, plenty of kitchen cookware to use, hot tub was excellent, and they left small bars of soap and toilet paper in each bathroom if you didn't happen to bring any. Overall it was a lovely place to stay, and a quiet neighborhood this time of year.

OBX Family Vacation

We had a great stay with family at Fowl Play. The location was great. Easy access to beach and walk to downtown area. House was perfect size for our party. Layout of house was great and bathrooms very nice. Outside pool and hot tub was nice. Nice size pool. Just needed a little shade, maybe an umbrella. Also, would be nice to have a little table and chairs. Kitchen was very nice and stock with dishes. Only would have liked some wine glasses. We would definitely come back to Fowl Play. Had a wonderful time!

Fabulous at Fowl Play

Multigenerational family spring break trip did not disappoint! We’ve been in Duck 3 years so we were familiar with the town but decided to try a different place to stay. Fowl Play had plenty of space to give everyone a peaceful get away. Great time had by all. We loved that everyone had their own bathroom too! Loved the parking pad area. Only draw back would be no blinds for privacy and small TV in the family room. We will be back!!

Great family vacation

We came in from AZ to celebrate my brothers 50th birthday. This property had it all! Enough room for the 10 of us to fit sleep comfortably (the beds were so comfy!) and enough room to move around without feeling like we were on top of eachother. Easy walk to the beach and the sound to catch the sunrise and sunset and you can hear the waves from the balcony. The jacuzzi was perfect. We opted out of having the pool heated, but the kids still had a blast with it (ages 11-18) Basketball hoop, volleyball and horse shoe games for the entire family. Plenty of games and puzzles to keep us busy at night as well. Plenty of space and cooking areas in the kitchen. Easy walk to the bike path to explore Duck or an easy drive to get to the main strip with plenty of food and entertainment options. We are already talking about planning another trip back. It was perfect!

Duck week beginning April 8

Beautiful home. Perfect with 6 bedrooms each with private bath. Too early for the pool to be open but we enjoyed the hot tub, playing bocce ball on the beach, renting a 6-seater golf cart, shopping, eating out, and meeting neighbors while walking the dog. We could not have done without the elevator as several of us had knee issues, and my 12.5 year old lab could never have climbed the stairs. We had only a few minor needs that required calling the customer service team. They were very responsive as well as competent and friendly. We'd like to come back in 2023 if we can get an open week. Marvelous place!!

Spring Break 2022 at FOWL PLAY

Our family of 4 adults and 3 teens truly enjoyed this clean, well-supplied and attractively-decorated beach house! The pool table, hot tub, basketball hoop, 2 dishwashers, fresh linens/towels, and plenty of room to spread out perfectly met our needs. It's an easy walk to town via sidewalks or the Boardwalk. Beds were comfortable after a busy day full of many activities. An elevator repairman suddenly appeared one afternoon - a warning call, text or email informing us of this would have been appropriate. All in all we would certainly suggest this rental!

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time at Fowl Play. Check-in was easy and the home was clean on arrival. We were excited to be right in Duck to walk to the shops and restaurants- and even a playground. It was too cold for the pool to be turned on, but we had a wonderfully warm day at the beach and the kids had lots of fun cousin time inside and outside the house playing basketball, riding bikes, and watching movies. The hot tub was a wonderful option, as well. We reached out to the property manager regarding a running toilet (fixed within hours) and a loose shower head (to be fixed after our departure). We all had a wonderful time and I would recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful Off Season Getaway

We throughly enjoyed our long weekend at Fowl Play! It was an easy walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants. It was really great that every bedroom had its own private bathroom. Games and kitchen were well stocked and the welcome gift basket was a very thoughtful touch! Would stay here again.

Fowl Play

We arrived at the house at 4 pm, which had not been cleaned upon arrival. The property company sent 1 housekeeper at 5:30 p.m. to clean a 6 BR, 8 BA, 3 story home. She stayed until almost 9 pm and did the very best she could to clean the home. Our family was finally able to unpack (mind you, we had just driven 10 hours) after 9 pm and settle in. This was not a good start to the vacation, however we were able to get settled finally the next day and had a nice week in the home. The shuffleboard, pool table and private pool were great for our family of all ages. This wasn't a great experience - We won't stay at this home again.

Fantastic stay in Duck!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property for one week during spring break. The house is on a quiet, private street that leads directly to the beach - only a few short minutes walk away. The location is also central to the shops and restaurants in Duck, with everything within a 10-15 minute walk. The house was clean and spacious - a great set up for our family of 5 (two adults, older teen, and two young kids) and medium sized dog. We also enjoyed being able to sit on the outside porches/decks to enjoy the fresh air, and our dog loved being able to go in/out as she pleased on the decks as well. The basement pool table and shuffle board kept everyone well occupied, as did the great supply of board games, card games, and books upstairs. One thing to note is that you do need to bring your own beach gear and volleyball/basketball for use of the nets. Wasn't a problem for us (you can also rent some gear from Kitty Hawk Kites at the end of the block), but thought that might be helpful for others to know in advance as you pack.

Great property but they should consider a different property manager

Loved this house and had a great off-season time in Duck. The only issue was dealing with an inflexible property manager. They wanted to charge us $300 to check-in 2 hours early (even though the property was empty and clean), they could not provide simple instructions for using the fireplace, and they began servicing the hottub before our morning check-out. Great house, great location, and we will consider renting again but the property manager should do a better job of being a little more flexible with off-season renters.

House is perfect for large family

This house is perfect for a large group. Nice rooms with a bathroom and TV in each room. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking and entertaining. Unfortunately when we arrived the house had not been cleaned from the last guest. The rental company was notified and quickly responded. The company sent someone out immediately to clean the house. Hot tub did stop working but once again the management company responded in a timely manner. Downstairs game room did stay cold but it was extremely cold outside. Overall this house was a perfect fit with just a couple of hiccups. Thank you to the management company of their quick response to each issue.

Overall great house

This house is well designed and comfortable for a large group. The pool does not have a cover so that was a bit disappointing. The water was ugly and it was a bit dangerous for our dogs. The hot tub kept breaking down but the pool guys were responsive and came quickly to try and fix the issue. Great location. On a quiet street and maybe 5 minute walk to gorgeous beach.
