Oceanside strandhuis met prive zwembad en bubbelbad, Duck, NC

Kom en verken het privéstrand, restaurants en winkels in Duck, NC tijdens een verblijf in dit ruime, lichte toevluchtsoord noemen we "Good Tides." Je vindt het paradijs in dit prachtige huis omringd door levende eiken voor privacy terwijl je geniet van zoete thee (of margaritas!) van de veranda schommels. De open en luchtige leefruimte is perfect voor dat speciale gezin samenkomen. Er is echter ook ruimte om te spreiden, met extra ruimte in de serre boven en een speelkamer beneden met natte bar en tafelvoetbal. Drie verdiepingen tellende dekken kijken uit op het oosten en westen om zeewind, zonsopgangen en zonsondergangen te vangen. Een privézwembad, buitendouche en bubbelbad (nieuw voor 2018) liggen net buiten de achterdeur. Uw hele gezin zal genieten van dit prachtige huis.

De toegang tot het strand is slechts een korte wandeling langs een privéweg (<5 min met kinderen en wagen op sleeptouw) en we bieden een strandcaddy en wagen om al uw strandspullen, koeler en kinderwagens te dragen. Toegang tot geluid is ook dichtbij (<2 min. Lopen), dus pak je krabval, kajak en windsurfuitrusting. Breng uw fietsen mee en spring op het fietspad voor een snelle rit naar het schilderachtige dorpje Duck, waar u fantastische restaurants en winkels zult vinden. Vang een zonsondergang op de Currituck Sound in de winkels aan het water terwijl je de winkels in en uit loopt.

"Good Tides" heeft 5 slaapkamers, 4 volledige baden en 2 halve baden. De master suite (kingsize bed) bevindt zich op de bovenste verdieping met een open plattegrond voor keuken, leefruimte, extra half bad en serre. De tweede verdieping heeft nog twee suites, elk met een queensize bed, en vervolgens een jack-n-jill bad gedeeld door twee kamers, een met een koningin en een met dubbele stapelbedden. De eerste verdieping heeft de speelkamer en natte bar, slaapbank, extra koelkast / vriezer, nog een half bad, en de wasmachine en droger. Ga gewoon naar binnen en ga naar het strand.
Gloednieuw in 2018: bubbelbad, buitengrill, roestvrijstalen koelkast / vriezer en vaatwasser en overal nieuwe bedden (dekbedden en kussens)!

Opmerkingen:
Beddengoed wordt niet verstrekt, dus vergeet niet uw bad-, strand- en keukenhanddoeken en lakens mee te nemen. We laten altijd wat papieren producten, wasmiddel en afwasmiddel achter om je op weg te helpen.
Privézwembad en buitendouche zijn beschikbaar van 10 mei 2019 tot 14 oktober 2019. Hot tub is het hele jaar door beschikbaar.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Good Tides was a wonderful home to rent. The sheets, towels, beach equipment were so much appreciated the home and beds comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We had 11 on this trip and there was plenty of room. The location was quiet, neighbors wonderful and it was about a1/4 mile walk to the beach ( sounds long but it took like 5-10 minutes) and close to shops and restaurants. If and when we go back, Good Tides would be where we would stay.

Good Tides for a Great Vacation!

We loved the property and all its amenities: close to the beach, great backyard pool, jacuzzi, and more balconies than we even had time to use! All of our kids got their own room and pretty much their own bathrooms too. Quiet, private, clean and Gary and his family were just amazing hosts with impeccable communications. Their check-in process and facilities were perfect. 10 out of 10 - no notes.

Great Stay

The location of this house is great for families. Just a short walk to the beach and added plus that all beach chairs, umbrella, toys and wagon were all provided. The house was big enough for our family of 11 and the pool kept the kids occupied for hours. The owner, Gary, was super responsive and helped with a minor issue. Overall we had a great time and would definitely rent again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Good Tides. The listing is very accurate - the house is very clean and well stocked with soaps etc - which is very convenient when visiting from far. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Gary is so communicative and helpful to ensure your visit is top notch. Everything in the kitchen you’d need to cook meals, lots of places to hangout and relax. Plenty of beach gear came in handy. Hot tub was clean, too cold for the pool. Only reason for a 4/5 stars is the price was a bit high relative to other places we’ve stayed and it wasn’t as updated, smaller home, less outdoor space for little ones to play, deck run down with some nails up, etc. Would still recommend it for a family trip to Duck!

Great stay for us first timers in Outerbanks!

First off, Gary is a phenomenal host who made us feel very welcomed and was great at keeping in contact to meet any needs or answer any questions. I had messaged Gary about the empty propane tank for the grill,and if it is the guests’ responsibility to get it refilled, which was no big deal. Gary did respond back to let me know where to locate the filled ones, but my phone had died and I didn’t read it in time, which was my fault. He offered to reimburse me and did. I appreciate how attentive he is. The house was great! It was very clean, had a comfortable and cozy living room and kitchen area for our group to come together, but also is spacious and offered so many other areas for people to just hang out separately or kids to play. If you have toddlers, this is the place to stay. House had enough board games and toys that my 2 year old loved playing with where I didn’t even need to bring any of his toys from home, which was practically half of my suitcase. The beach chairs, beach toys, and wagon were such an added bonus, especially since sometimes that can be forgotten/take too much room. All the wives of our group definitely appreciated the number of bathrooms, especially with many rooms having their own private one, as well as the massive fridge. If we plan to visit again, we definitely have a go to place. You can tell they take care of their property and make sure you are taken care of as well.

Wonderful, comfortable stay

We had a fantastic time at Good Tides. It was the perfect size and setup for a multi-generational family gathering. The first floor foosball and TV room was a great place for kids to hang out while adults were upstairs, and the upstairs had plenty of space for everyone to be together, while doing different things and not stepping on anyone's toes. Four spacious decks were lovely for morning and evening, and the two mid-level decks were covered so you could be outside even when it rained. The walk to the beach was very manageable. Gary was very responsive and kind in the run up to our stay and during our stay, and helpful with even small logistical tips. The house and kitchen were very generously stocked with all the beach gear you could need (including towels!), paper goods, and games, etc. It was the perfect fit for our family, and we would love to stay again.

Everything was great for our family of 10 adults, enough room to spread out and still be together. The house was well appointed and clean. The only downside was our 85 year old mom couldn’t get safely into the shower. My fault for not checking on that. She did however enjoy the outdoor shower and goes with the flow so all in all 10 out of 10 for us!

Wonderful family vacation

It was wonderful to be able to stay with our entire family of 10, ages 4 to 65, in one house, enjoying family dinners and playing in the pool. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We really appreciated all the small conveniences provided by the owner (not always supplied by other owners) such as toilet paper, laundry & dishwasher soap, beach towels, etc. We had no problems while we were there. If we ever get back to the Outer Banks, this is the place we'll stay.

Would give this 10 stars if possible!!

Our family had a vacation planned in Marco Island for this week. With all the rain, flooding, and State of Emergency in southern Florida we needed to pivot and FAST!! Thankfully was able to cancel other trip on FRIDAY and start looking for a place for my family of 5 and my FIL and SIL. We booked this the day before coming!! Communication was fantastic and everything about this place was wonderful. The host is very thoughtful in providing all that you can imagine you'd need. I packed so many things that weren't necessary because it was all there!! The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. We made many meals at the house and all you'd need is there. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The fact that most adults had their own bathrooms attached to their bedrooms was such a bonus and the extra 2 half baths were so great to have so no one had their space taken over. We had such a wonderful relaxing time. We will definitely be back! Kuddos to a fabulous host!

Duck doesn’t disappoint

Had a family of 10 adults and two children with more than enough space to enjoy. Very clean and great location to walk to beach or short drive to the town. Peaceful and beautiful location. All pool and home amenities you can think of. We had rented a golf cart to get items to/fro beach and that was great to use- made it all so easy! Full time neighbors friendly. Must see- Corolla light house, wild horses on the beaches, walking the boardwalk, rented kayaks and went scuba diving( there is a tanker sunk off coast of Killl Devil Hill.) Would definitely recommend this place! Manager Gary great and always answered quickly!

Good Tides has Good Vibes

Perfect house to get away with the extended family. We had 5 adults and 2 kids under 10, with plenty of room to spread out (and could easily have fit a few more adults/kids). Pool is a perfect size for relaxing for our size group, and the heater (extra charge) was clutch on what ended up being a chilly Mother's Day weekend. Dining room and living room both have good seating space for everyone which isn't always the case! Other reviews mention the gravel walk to the beach as a negative, but it is a well-maintained/packed gravel, and an easy walk in flip flops, <5min. Adorable family of 6 deer seems to live nearby, too! Owner was exceptionally responsive. Only very minor negative is that you need to make the beds upon arrival and strip them when checking out, which is a minor pet peeve for me, BUT you at least know they've been changed. :) Would absolutely stay here again. My 9 year old declared "Good Tides had Good Vibes," and that is high praise!

Great review for Good Tides

This was our first trip to OBX and we enjoyed our stay at Good Tides. For the past decade we have vacationed at Ocean City, MD. This property was a blend of the solitude of the mountains, including deer in the back yard, and the serenity of the ocean, a few blocks away. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub along with a very spacious living area. We did rent a golf cart because the walk to the beach was a bit far for some members of our family. Gary, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating. We had a fabulous week.

Overall this house was great! The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. Every question I had was answered and dealt with immediately. A few cons-some safety strips in the bathtub, possibly some extra bar ware (shaker, on the rocks glasses). Pros-plenty of dishes, glasses, coffee cups, kitchen well furnished. The beds were extremely comfortable. The house felt very open and uncrowded for our family of 11. Plenty of room for everyone to sit. The kids loved the pool, the many games available to them and the goose ball. The walk to the beach was easy. The town of Duck a short drive as well as Corolla. We all had an absolutely wonderful time and would recommend this house to everyone.

OBX enjoyable stay

Found property as advertised. Our group was overall happy with house. Short walk to the beach, quiet area. Internet service could have been better. There was an electrical issue with pool but was addressed. Did not impact our stay. Would consider property on next visit to OBX.
