Op zoek naar een rustig toevluchtsoord voor alleen jij en de kinderen? We denken dat je het hebt gevonden bij "OBX Dream (House). Gelegen in het rustige Southern Shores, net over de westkant weg van de drukte. Dit mooie huisje is gebouwd door een vooraanstaande lokale bouwer met luxe vinyl planken, betegelde douches en granieten aanrecht, elke kamer is smaakvol ingericht en ingericht. De natuurlijke omgeving biedt een gevoel van privacy en rust die u niet kunt vinden aan de kust. Mooie inrichting en meubels nodigen u uit om te verblijven in dit bijna gloednieuwe pand! Uw eigen privé-zwembad biedt plezier met de kinderen of gewoon een ontspannende middag in de zon. Elektronica omvat 2 smart-tv's (Great Room en Top Master) en lcd-tv's in alle slaapkamers en de ontspanningsruimte.

Het is een gemakkelijke wandeling of rit naar het strand met een lichte oversteek naar Duck Road. U kunt wandelen, fietsen of gebruikmaken van de verstrekte parkeerkaarten om naar de toegang tot het strand te rijden. Dit huis ligt in de wijk Chicahauk in Southern Shores, waar u toegang heeft tot gemeenschaps tennis, een onlangs bijgewerkte speeltuin en een gezonde jachthaven. De avonturiers kunnen kilometers naar Corolla fietsen of gewoon naar Duck Village om te winkelen, koffie te drinken of nog veel meer. Je hebt geweldige wijkstraten om te fietsen of wandelen met de kinderen.

Dit is een buurt waar je je boot bij het huis kunt parkeren; handig met een community Marina!

Hoogste niveau: Great Room heeft Smart TV met Soundbar, toegang tot het dek, keuken met dubbele oven, barstoelen 4, eettafelzetels 7, Captain's Watch met speltafel, King Master met Smart TV, toegang tot privédekken, betegelde douche met zitje, 2 Spoelbak Vanity.

Alle Outer Banks Blue-accommodaties bieden beddengoed, badhanddoeken, opgemaakte bedden voorafgaand aan uw aankomst en een startervoorraad van: toiletpapier, badkamerzeep, papieren handdoeken en afwasmiddel.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Home was lovely an clean(thank you) . I was disappointed to have to buy a high chair an beach chairs, I guess I could have used my equipment credit for beach chairs. Also a broom an dustpan would have been nice. Other then that everything was lovely we total enjoyed an parking passes were a bonus. Thank you again for sharing your home.

The location of the neighborhood is nice. 5 mins from Duck and not a horrible walk to the beach. The walk to the beach on a cool spring day isn't too bad for adults, next time I would bring a wagon to make things easier. The house seemed to be pretty clean. There was a lot of human hair in the master bathroom along with a lot of dog hair on the rugs (totally know it's a pet friendly house, I brought my dog but she doesn't shed, my son is allergic to dog fur so it's important that there's a deep clean). The upstairs is a nice place to hang out. My dog liked basking in the sun on the upper deck. It's nice how it's closed off so she can't get away. I was shocked that you have to bring literally everything... down to a kitchen sponge. No salt/pepper, cooking spray, dish soap of any kind. I'm used to staying at a vacation spot where it's owned by people, not just used as a vacation rental. The driveway was awesome for the kids to play hockey and do chalk drawings. The pool was closed for the season but it has a nice lockable fence and a sounded alarm. My kids loved the hot tub! It's well taken care of.

Fyi I was charged 184.00 for beach equipment. The only thing that was there was a dirty floaty and pool noodle (nothing you could actually take to the beach); the pool was also dirty upon arrival. One of the attractions that encouraged us to book this house was the hammock. When we arrived the hammock was so broken that there was no possible way to use it.

As a teacher I couldn’t wait to relax after a tough school year. This was perfect! We loved the pool and the bikes we were able to rent. We rode our bikes to the beach each day and even set our alarms to watch the sunrise twice. If possible, I’d rent this property every time I visit the Outer Banks.

The house was beautiful, pool was a plus especially with a five year old , bunk room could have used a alarm on the sliding doors since it’s a kids room and they can easily access the outdoors on a second floor deck , the parking pass is not for the closest access to the beach from the house at the end of the road , it’s actually for a public beach access 2 miles away , be sure to know where to have your tent and chairs set up accordingly or you will get a ticket ! The village of Duck is not walkable for the average person but if you rent bikes it’s a nice ride . Was a nice house to rent for social distancing as the closest beach was not crowded !

Nice Location, but House Issues

The location of the house was great --- close to the beach and restaurants and such in Duck. The pool was a fun feature and the house was nicely decorated. We thought we would love this place, but we quickly realized they were having AC issues that were not disclosed prior to our stay as 2/3 of the lower level bedrooms had window units. We tried to make this work, but our son in the bedroom without a window unit was unable to sleep comfortably in the 79-80 degree room temperatures are night (his monitor displays temperature). We notified our house contact, Shelly, midweek with no efforts made on their end to fix this issue. This was our main complaint, but also the house seemed to lack a deep clean prior to our arrival (dirty baseboards, hair on the floors, etc) which was surprising for a rental so early in the season. And while tiny flies were around from day one, we discovered roaches later in the week. The rental company (which I guess uses VRBO as well although we booked with them directly) didn't do anything to remedy these issues. They did replace the outside lightbulbs promptly (we shared that they were not working when we notified them about the AC issues), but with the price paid for this early in the season we were hoping for a house that would be as described with working central air and clean/bug free. This house has potential, but these issues need to be remedied and customer service needs to be improved.

Lovely House

We loved staying at this house for our family vacation. Plenty of room for all of our family! We enjoyed the proximity to the beaches and the use of the pool. Only complaint we had was that the Queen bed was a bit uncomfortable for our liking in the bedroom with the bathroom attached. The hammock was cozy, the kitchen was functional and the decks were amazing with a view of the water in the distance. We hope to return here next year!
