Stukje paradijs op aarde: rust en ontspanning!
Heerlijk niets doen een paar dagen. Alsof je alleen op de wereld bent. We hadden bij 'one bedroom villa' wel een losse slaapkamer verwacht en bij 90m2 wordt de buitenruimte meegeteld dus iets om rekening mee te houden. Zwembaden zijn geweldig met werkelijk de mooiste uitzichten!

ligging in de "jungle" met mooie villa's. complex is zeer ruim opgezet met dito af te leggen afstanden. je moet goed ter been zijn om overal te kunnen komen. prima en uitgebreid ontbijt. vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Geweldig!!!!
Zeer aan te bevelen. Uitgebreid ontbijt. Dinerprijzen zijn conform de accommodatie en het eten is erg lekker. Erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Een geweldig zwembad met een paradijselijk uitzicht. Ze zien ons zeker nog eens terug.

Zeer mooi en schoon complex. Rust rust rust. Super aardige medewerkers. Wij hadden huisje 109 bestaat uit een mega woonkamer en twee slaapkamers met eigen douche en toiletruimte. Zicht op zee en zwembad en lekker dichtbij restaurant. Ontbijt was de beste die we in Thailand gehad hebben. We hebben bij aankomst gelijk 2 dagen bij geboekt. Scooter huren net buiten het complex. Heb je wel nodig. Complex niet echt geschikt voor mindervalide mensen. In het Hotel wel Europese prijzen. Maar buiten genoeg (Halal) restaurants.

Ultieme rust
Leuk hotel met authentieke uitstraling. Je komt hier helemaal tot rust. Als het je te rustig wordt is het leuk om een excursie via het hotel te boeken (goede guide, Mr. Gift) of een motorbike te huren bij de ingang van het resort om het eiland op eigen houtje te verkennen. De kwaliteit van de gerechten in het restaurant is wisselend. Voorgerechten en desserts zijn prima, hoofdgerechten en met name de lunch dramatisch slecht. Wij hebben bijna elke middag en avond bij Chil chil @ pai gegeten (het restaurantje bij de ingang van het resort); goede gerechten voor een lage prijs en super lieve eigenaren. Qua service valt er voor het personeel nog wat te verbeteren om echt de ultieme beleving te kunnen leveren. Als je als vakantieganger het “standaard protocol” volgt zul je niks merken van eventuele tekortkomingen in service, maar als je er iets langer dan een week zit en soms een vraag wilt stellen of een verzoekje hebt, dan kan je vast komen te zitten in een “lost in translation-momentje”. Ik vroeg bijvoorbeeld “where is the bathroom?” aan de bar waarop de barman vroeg “would you like one or two?”. Soms moet je echt even geduld hebben en je bedenken dat er veel locals werken die simpelweg niet zo goed Engels spreken en dat is op een bepaalde manier ook wel weer charmant en dit past in de eilandcultuur van Ko Yao Yai. Maar dus wel goed opvolgen dat je verzoeken goed worden uitgevoerd en check de hotelrekening goed bij check out. Het gedoe met de bonnetjes is niet ideaal.

Perfect island stay
koh Yao Yai Village is the perfect place to unwind. Everything breathes relaxation (the staff, the rooms, the surroundings). Rooms are very spacious and clean, with giant comfortable beds. The pool has a beautiful view on the sea and was never crowded. Food in the restaurant is great, though a bit pricier than food elsewhere in Thailand. Only complaints: wifi is very, very slow and the hot water in the showers runs out rather quickly.

zeer rustig en comfortabel hotel
Prima hotel. Personeel doet z'n best voor een aangenaam verblijf. Zoek je rust dan is dit een goed hotel voor 3 a 4 nachten maximaal. Mooi zwembad en lekker eten. Niet veel te doen op het mooie eiland maar met een scooter kom je overal. Eilandbewoners zeer vriendelijk. Beperkt aantal restaurants op loopafstand van het hotel (2x). Hotel organiseert ook trips.

We had an amazing two night stay for our honeymoon. This was our favorite accommodation on our two-week trip in Thailand. Lovely rooms with a beautiful outdoor shower. Private veranda with lounge chairs and couch. The pool area was extravagant, with a very large infinity pool that overlooks the beautiful sea and islands (great sunset!). Plenty of seating. Happy hour drinks (and prices) were great, and we indulged in plenty of fresh mojitos. We booked James Bond island group tour through the hotel and it was just us (but even with four other people it would have been great). Our guide spoke good English and was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was incredible as well as all the other meals we had. We loved this place and cannot wait to return some day!

The property was in a very quiet location, not much else around. We booked a beach front villa. It was not exactly on the beach and the beach was not very impressive. We had a view of the beach but had to walk a bit to be on the beach, and you couldn't really swim in the sea as rocky.

The property and resort was really quite nice! The pool was divine and the real highlight. Food and dining was excellent, however a snack bar or another small cafe on-sight would have been nice. Can’t say enough about the staff. They were kind, friendly, accomodating and attentive.

This property is amazing, it truly is a paradise! They upgraded me to a ocean view sweet for my stay. not to say the least, it was jaw dropping and so private. I’m usually not a fancy hotel guy, but this is not your typical place, it is filled with jungle life and everything cabin is far enough away that you really don’t have any one close!!! Amazing property. The staff was fantastic. Front desk made things so easy to get to hotel via boat with shuttle waiting for us. Restaurant was great, private beach dinner worth the price, rooms are huge, clean, outside shower, kitchen, ect. The wildlife is amazing I never felt unsafe. Beach amazing!

Personal sehr freundlich und engagiert, das Frühstücksbuffet könnte effektiver organisiert sein. Die Anlage und die Unterkünfte sind sehr schön gestaltet. In den Hütten fehlt es an offenen Regalen für die Kleidung.

Staff were very helpful, location is isolated, calm and just what we wanted. If all you want to do is kayak, swim, eat & sleep it’s perfect. Excursions available at extra cost but some not ideal in low season-eg snorkelling

BEAUTIFUL
Gorgeous hotel, beautiful rooms, lovely pool area and pool bar. Staff are so helpful especially Rooddy!! Views are breathtaking, on the beach and close to Phang Nga Bay which must not be missed. Excellent breakfast, lunch is good but dinner is very disappointing. We ate in both restaurants, the grill was good but the staff were unable to understand our request for a simple grilled pepper which was a little bit frustrating. The other restaurant has a very odd menu and it was just impossible to get anything changed, for example I asked for prawns instead of chicken in a curry and I was told no so the result was poor food (prawn cakes were huge and tasteless) and poor service. We waited over 30 minutes for drinks at the bar and in general the service was very slow. The staff don't really understand much English and they don't really have any customer service skills. We went to the restaurant at the top of the lane which was absolutely fantastic! We went into the village but most shops/bars/restaurants have closed due to Covid. Beautiful island and a beautiful hotel.

Relaxing with great view and island feel
Fantastic view from main pool area and restaurant. Great with the big family sized sun beds for keeping little one between us to play and enjoy the view. Good food in restaurant although a bit expensive. Rented scooter from place just outside resort to see more of the island - highly recommended. Nice to be able to go on tours from beach just in front of hotel.

We LOVED this place. We stayed at a few different places while traveling Thailand but this one was a favorite. The staff were personable and friendly. Took care of all the details for us. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was also just a unique location and so beautiful all around us. We loved it and I highly recommend it!

Virkelig lækkert resort med helt fantastisk infinitypool og enestående morgenbuffet. Personalet var evigt smilende og hjælpsomt. Man skal nok bare være indstillet på, at der ikke er andet end selve resortet plus at der er lavvandet meget af dagen.
