The front desk reception was poor/unhelpful when I checked in. That said, checkout was a breeze and a pleasant experience, staff was very helpful. Did not like the bathroom - the shower area. And on one of the days, music from the club below was too loud and filtered up to the hotel room and was quite disruptive (this was on Holi I believe)

It was just a horrible and worse experience of our lives ever.. When it comes to staying in a five star hotel. The staff had no clue what they were doing. We checked in , got our keys and when we went up to our room.. we swiped the card , door opens and we see a half naked man in the bed jerking himself off !!! We rushed out of the door .. went downstairs to the reception and they were not even sorry... just handed us another key and said it was just a system error. 2nd : we couldn’t sleep all night because they have night club in the same Bldg and it was too loud. 3rd: the bedsheet , pillows everything looked as if never changed, and stinky. Also, we prepaid for two nights but after thai experience we left the first night and decided not to stay the other night.. and we never got our money refunded. I had no energy to argue with the most unprofessional, untrained staff so we decided to let it go. One word : pathetic!

Just ok , nothing extraordinary
Check in requires more than 40 minutes, the in room dining service is pathetic although quality of food is good. It’s a pure business hotel would not recommend any one going out for leisure or couples trip. Mini bar charges are arrogant, can’t even enjoy dinner at their restaurant as they are most of the times booked for marriages or parties

Good location, breakfast and food in general. Run of the mill hotel and poor service! Bathroom was leaky and had water accumulation on floor from leaky faucet! Hidden charges for water bottles!

Had a bit of a troublesome start, however things got a lot better including complimentary wine and snacks as apology and free drop to the airport. Room service and check in are bit slow though. Love the location and tasty breakfast buffet.

First of all, I would like to thank Sansmit, the Assistant Lobby Manager. I was very upset at the way I was handled by the young ladies during checkin and their inability and/or unwillingness to resolve the problems I faced on the first night. However, when I brought the issues to the knowledge of Sansmit, he acted on it right away and took care of me extremely well. I can not but thank this gentleman for his help. He is the kind of staff that Park should have. At the end of the day, I am very satisfied and enjoyed my stay at Park thanks to Sansmit. However, I would suggest that Park employs staff that take care of the guests unlike the one’s who proved their ineffiency at taking care of me on my first evening there. I will stay there again if the Park management makes sure that they have the proper staff, whose duty is to take ultimate care of it’s guests. If you run into problems there, please bringit to the management’s notice. They will take care of you. That is what I experienced and commend the manager for taking quick action to satisfy the guest.

Hotel Park, Park Street Kolkata Once deemed as Kolkata's iconic hotel. Amazing stay experience. Best in class. Room Booked and paid for- Luxury, Room received- Economy room. No explanation, no refund Check-in: Delay by 30 minutes Electrical sockets: Not working Wifi: Not working Water bottles: Chargeable Food rates are quite cheap here- I ordered TWO DIET COKE cans and signed a bill of JUST Rs 1240. This is definitely iconic. I am definitely staying again!

For proposing that this is a 5-star hotel is a bit much. Although some of the staff was quite friendly, I was surprised by the desk staffs' difficulty to smile. Our room was quite small and not well maintained. The tops of all surfaces needed a good scrub, and the lockbox and hairdryer did not work. Furthermore, there were two nightclubs on the property. You could hear the thumping from the bass until the early morning (mind you we were on the 4th floor). I was not impressed when I checked in because many of the drunk club patrons had spilled onto the lobby during our check-in. Overall, the hotel requires a proper updating in terms of cleanliness and staff friendliness.

Clearly, the property needs an upgrade and the staff needs to be retrained. Check-in process is painstakingly slow. The room initially given was right next to the one where renovation of some kind was taking place - it was noisy, to put it mildly. Room service is slow, the menu needs updating. Room phone menu needs updating. Newspapers are optional, yet never told so upfront. There is enough revenue coming from the dance club and The Park, nationwide, seem to be benefitting more from that and that seems to be taking attention away from the hotel guests.
