Ligging aan de rand van de stad, met parkeerplaats, is een goede uitvalsbasis. Het is een groot appartement. Het appartement was heel erg vuil.

Niet schoon
De locatie en de ruimte van het appartement waren goed. Helaas leek het alsof onze kamer niet in orde was gemaakt. De keuken, tafel en kookgerei waren niet schoongemaakt. En er hing maar liefst 1 rolletje wc papier. Toen we na een paar dagen vroegen of we wat bij mochten moesten ze eerst kijken of we er al wel genoeg nachten waren. Ook de uitrusting van de keuken was zeer minimaal. Zo hadden we bijvoorbeeld maar 1 vork en 1 mok. Een koekenpan zou ook wel fijn zijn geweest. En tot slot laten de bedden verschrikkelijk. Er lag een topper op een halve boxspring die er ook nog steeds vanaf gleed.

I am not really sure but have you seen all our rooms we advertise? :-) You booked one of the cheapest studio for 2 adults that is a very basic studio, and we do provide this category mostly for those who come to Iceland on a budget. We have rooms in a higher category with better design and equipment, however they cost more. I am very sorry to hear about the lack of cleaning. I wish you would have contacted us directly once you checked in, so we would have had a chance to improve the cleaning and provide what you were missing. Het is een handig systeem van inchecken via de codes die we ruim op tijd kregen. De locatie is prima, we namen de bus naar het centrum voor 400 ISK enkel. De bushalte is maar twee minuten stappen van de appartementen. Er is gratis parking voor de deur en een supermarkt vlakbij. De kamers zijn prima, het is niet nieuw, maar alles is proper en de bedden zijn goed.

Net appartement op de 4e verdiepeing met mooi uitzicht op Reykjavik. Handdoeken en werden vaak vervangen. Ook de bedden werden gedurende ons verblijf van 1 week verschoond.

Aardig en goedkoop appartement buiten Reykjavik
Before I voice my opinion, please let me stress one very important thing - if you've booked an apartment here you have to contact North Star Apartments to confirm your booking. They'll send you an email containing the code to unlock the front door and instructions plus another code to get the key to your apartment. Without these codes you can't get into your apartment without having to call the manager. This might not be a problem during the day, but perhaps you'll run into some difficulty at night so please, confirm your booking! During my short stay I've encountered more than one tourist who didn't and while the matter was resolved, it took some time (plus the fact that they couldn't even get into the building). Other than that, the apartment was nice enough. Don't go in expecting too much; there were a number of loose skirting boards/baseboards and the laminate flooring gave way easily because it has probably been laid on top of carpet which means your socks will get caught between boards. Also, the plug in the bathroom sink was stuck so the water wouldn't drain. Finally, the bathroom lacked a proper shower cabin, instead opting for shower curtain rather than a door which left the bathroom pretty much soaked. Note that your bed sheets won't be changed, but you do get clean towels. The staff (or rather, the odd cleaning lady I happened upon) seemed a little grumpy. All in all, you get what you pay for and it shows. But, if you're out and about most of the day it'll do.

Onze kamer was bezet, kregen een kamer die half was ingericht. Wij zaten drie nachten, geen ophaal van vuil, om over handdoeken maar niet te spreken.

Goede uitvalsbasis voor verblijf in Reykjavik
Het appartement was goed uitgerust en de zelf check-in werkt prima. Verder is er genoeg parkeerplaats voor de deur en is Reykjavik prima aan te rijden. Het appartement is absoluut niet gehorig en ons appartement op de bovenste verdieping had een mooi uitzicht. Daarnaast zijn voorzieningen als pin en supermarkt vlakbij en zit je met een huurauto snel op de doorgaande weg. De OV-voorzieningen hebben wij niet gebruikt.

Bushalte naar centrum om de hoek. Aan de overkant van appartement grote supermarkt. Veel stekkerdozen in appartement waarvan er 4 geen stroom hadden. Heb een vuilnisbakje in appartement gemist. Heb een afwasbak in de keuken gemist. De douchekop is erg ongelukkig gemonteerd waardoor douchen een waterpartij in de badkamer geeft. Heb een dweil gemist.

Leuk appartement nabij Reykjavik
Leuk en goed uitgerust appartement in een voorstad van Reykjavik. Binnen twee minuten op de snelweg naar het vliegveld of de stad. Tien minuten van het centrum (met auto). Goede uitvalsbasis voor het maken van dagtrips in de omgeving van Reykjavik. Mooi uitzicht op de baai van Reykjavik (als je aan de achterkant een kamer krijgt). Winkels en pinautomaat voor de deur. Gratis parkeren aan de achterkant. Wij zouden dit weer boeken.

Great location outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre but also only a short drive into Reykjavic. Self check in work very well with easy to follow instructions. Appartment was clean with all necessary amenities. A good selection of local shops inc a great coffee shop and supermarket.

Lovely and warm apartment ,well equipped which allowed us to cook (eating out pricey) Bess comfortable . Excellent communication - replied fo all Emails very promptly . Didn’t use the bus , but car parking good . Grocery store and subway deli opposite / next door . Check in times could have been more flexible . Overall , great stay !

We stayed here twice during our recent trip to Iceland. It was a “tale of two stays.” Our first stay was in a room with a broken bathroom door, non-functioning TV, and was noisy. Our second stay was much better. Bathroom door worked, TV worked. Nice clean and quiet room. Word of warning: The property managers will write you an email and ask for a photo of your ID and credit card in lieu of in-person check-in (there is no check-in desk or onsite staff). If you aren’t checking your email or it is filtered to the spam folder, that could be a problem. Also, the phone number they provided did not work—but they were quick to respond to emails.

Meine Frau und ich haben 7 Tage im Iceland Comfort Apartment in Kopavogur gewohnt. Wie ich bei der Reservierung informiert worden war, habe ich ein Tag vor unserer Ankunft zwei Codes per SMS erhalten: einen für die Außentür und einen für den kleinen Schlüsselkasten, der sich neben der Apartmenttür befindet. Wir sind pünktlich um 15 Uhr (reguläre Check-in Zeit) bei dem Apartment angekommen. Der Code für die Außentür hat funktioniert (Achtung: nach der Eingabe des Codes muss man die Tür kräftig drücken, um sie zu öffnen). Der Code für den Schlüsselkasten hat zwar auch funktioniert, aber zu unserem Erstaunen war da kein Schlüssel zu finden. Nach ein paar Minuten Ratlosigkeit konnte ich das nette Housekeeping-Personal im Apartmentgebäude finden und nach dem Apartmentschlüssel fragen. Da wurde ich informiert, dass der vorherige Gast das Apartment noch nicht verlassen habe. Nach ein paar Versuchen konnte ich das Verwaltungspersonal telefonisch kontaktieren (im Apartmentgebäude selbst gibt es keine Rezeption). Das Verwaltungspersonal war hilfsreich und hat sofort agiert. Um 19 Uhr konnten wir das Apartment betreten. Das Apartment ist ziemlich komfortabel und ist mit allem ausgestattet, was ein Gast für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Kostenlosen Parkplatz gibt es direkt am Apartmentgebäude. Supermärkte, Geschäfte, Bank gibt es ganz in der Nähe. Das Leistungs-Preis-Verhältnis war aus meiner Sicht fair.

Brilliant room. Fabulous views over the harbour a city. Spacious and clean. Lift and stairs option. Safe and easy access Into the building. Lots of restaurants options cheap eats inc subway. 24h supermarket. Bus stations 5 min walk. Fire alarm went off and nobody came to turn it off for 4hours so that was a problem but we had left for the day an returned wasn’t an issue for me specifically

Very happy with our stay! Clean and very comfortable beds. Short drive to Reykjavik. My only complaint is that we booked for 5 people and the sleeper sofa bed had no sheets or towel. Luckily it was my teenage son who used that bed and he didn’t care!

No thrills but absolutely did the job
Iceland Comfort Apartments is exactly what I thought it would be for the price I paid. 10 minutes from the centre of Reykjavik by car (I would 100% recommend renting a car) with free parking at front or back. Communal areas and corridors are spotless. Apartment itself quite basic though clean enough and adequately presented. Apartment we had was spacious, warm and looked north giving a good view towards the city. Bathroom a bit dated and as highlighted by others, taking a shower is a bit of an experience on two fronts - getting hot water and stopping water getting out and flooding the bathroom! Building was very quiet at night and no problems at all getting a decent sleep, though was woken early by some strange noises coming from the kitchen sink which I was advised is down to an issue with the pipes, and can’t be fixed. For us there were way more positives than negatives and, if travelling on a budget and having access to a car, then absolute stay here. If looking for something more luxurious and closer to the centre I’d look elsewhere. I would also add that this is a contactless rent and communication by email was excellent. No issues with key codes or gaining access and entry and leaving processes were seamless.

Descent stay. As we entered there was a very strong smell in the apartment as if someone just cooked a lot of spices and left. It took us a very long time and open windows to make it breathable. Hot shower was limited and the washroom too has a smell. Lights were dull. Location was excellent however and right opposite the supermarket. The check in process was extremely easy.

Great view and easy access to the buses and grocery store. Quick walk down to the inlet. The room had some good cooking utensils and pots and pans but sadly no cutlery. Not the end of the world but would have been nice to know beforehand.

We really enjoyed staying at the Iceland Comfort Apts. The area was lovely and we liked being able to visit local site. It was easy to get the #1 bus into town. But I would recommend a bit of upkeep and a refresh to the room. The bathroom needs a stronger vent fan as it has a fung when the door is shut. Also, a the shade were ripped in places and it needs to be refreshed. But don't let a lack of mascara and nail polish stop you from staying here. The little things can be over looked by all the positives. It's not in down town but it is close and quiet!

Pros: The apartment was a quick 10 minute or less drive to the attractions in Reykjavik which was nice. The free parking was also great. The staff respond quickly. There is a washer and dryer provided. Decently priced. Grocery store right across the street. Cons: The apartment itself is very simple and cheap. The furniture is scratched, wobbly, etc. You only get one towel and cloth for the whole week. The shower doesn't drain very well. The walls and curtains have stains/splatter on them that could be easily wiped or washed off but minimal effort is put toward overall cleanliness, just the bare minimum. The dishes were dirty most likely from the previous tenant as well as the sponges and brushes provided, being dirty with food stuck on them. There was also very limited dishes (Ex: 1 bowl to use for a meal). The teflon coating was scraped off so metal and parts of the pan would get in the food. The floor was incredibly sticky and you would not want to walk on it without shoes, there was spilled coffee stains under our bed when we first walked into our room. It can be loud at times. The laundry option was nice but it the room is in the basement with a 4 foot tall ceiling and the room is messy. The code pad to get in the apartment is incredibly dirty and should be wiped off frequently to assure others can't figure out the code. I would rate this place a 2.5/3 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for super clean or luxurious, this is not the place for you. Overall, an ok stay.

Great location ( having rental car) 10 minutes to downtown and all shops/mall/attractions. Easy process to check in and out. Amenities were very outdated like microwave, tea pot had a crack. Silverware was very limited with only 1 knife that was only good for bread. Shower curtain needs to have some weight on the bottom to prevent it flying all over you while showering.

The apartment itself was nice and clean, in a decent location. The blinds, however, didn't close all the way and there was a lot of street lights and sound when trying to sleep. It was also extremely warm with no area to adjust the temperature. Overall though not bad, these were just two things that made our stay meh.
