'The owner and her father were very friendly and helpful. The room was a little too small for 1 week holiday and the bathroom could be more modern but all in all a must, especially considering the price. We had a slightly more expensive room with balcony on the first floor, facing the sea. The weather was beautiful and very pleasant for the end of October. On the other side of the street (on the corner) there is the possibility to get lunch and diner at a very democratic price. Recommended..'

'Fantastische locatie maar kamers moeten even goed aangepakt worden (vooral de badkamers)... en het eten is simpelweg slecht. Personeel moet ook nog wat leren over service. 'This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. 'One of the favorite places we have ever stayed in! The place is beautifully restored and you feel like you are really staying in a historic place. We stayed in a room that had ample space and enjoyed staying in. There is a lovely balcony with a hot tub. There were two friendly cats that hung out with us on the balcony. 'Summer Dream was the best hotel we could ask for. It was extremely modern, great view, and the town of Rethymno has a wonderful downtown area. If you go, I recommend Achinos, I believe it is spelled. The best food we had in Greece. Summer dream is also located next to many markets including SKYNKA, which is walking distance. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was the best part of our trip in Crete. '
