'My Niece and I stayed at the Blue Birdhouse for her Spring Break and to see if we wanted to visit this area in the summertime, as we had never been there. The Owner of this house was gracious and kind and very responsive to any questions or requests. We also took our dogs with us and they had a blast in the fenced back yard! 'This rental is right by Indiana Dunes and in a nice neighborhood. Main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower needs repaired. There was not a cloth to wash dishes with. The skillet in the cabinet still had food in it. We did walk around the block to get Uno Pizza which is in a speakeasy setting. Nice place. It was early for swimming but we did take a dip. Don let us stay late to enjoy the sun. The pool is well cared for. Overall a good rental.'

'Our stay at Black Cabin was great! It’s in a very quiet location and has an awesome back deck and fire pit. We really appreciated all of the amenities that Eddi included; we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a hotel room this may not be the right choice for you. But if you’re looking for a quiet cabin like location that is close to all Valparaiso has to offer, I think you’d like this spot as much as we did. Eddi was a great host and easy to communicate with.'

'The yard is awesome, of course the hot tub at the top of the hill was the best, and we enjoyed the firepit as well. The house was a tidy little cottage at which we enjoyed our stay. It’s within a short walk to the National Park and downtown Miller Beach. The neighborhood is fine, pretty secluded, and still close to most attractions.'

'The property was as listed and well kept. Check in was hassle free and location was perfect for us as we were visiting the dunes for the beach and hiking trails. The whole family came and appreciated that there were a few games to play, a private outdoor space and needed items for cooking a meal. 'Our fam of five 6, 8 and 12 year olds LOVED our quiet little getaway. We knew the water would be a bit chilly on Lake Michigan but boy was it beautiful...and only a few blocks away! Our kiddos slept in loft. We made every meal there, hiked some trails, played some of the games there and some we brought. There were plenty towels, bath and beach as well as kitchen accessories. It was a perfect getaway before our busy theatre rehearsals and sports camps begin! We definitely hope to come back!'
