This spacious 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo in Kure Beach's Ocean Dunes resort community has everything you need for a wonderful beach getaway with amazing oceanfront and beachfront views, resort amenities, nearby attractions and a peaceful atmosphere.

With two private decks overlooking the ocean, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise, catch a glimpse of dolphins or just relax. Guests have a private beach access next to the building with an outdoor shower, and an outdoor pool and gazebo just steps away.

ABOUT THE SPACE:
This end-unit condo is two stories and features two private oceanfront decks, an open floor plan, fully equipped kitchen, and is just under 1,200 square feet. It has two bedrooms, both with their own full bathroom, as well as a half bath. TVs are all equipped with cable and WiFi throughout.

The building is on pilings and does not have an elevator. The entrance of the condo is up one flight of stairs and considered the first floor.

First Floor:
• Kitchen: full kitchen (including Keurig single serve k-cup brewer & 12-cup coffee maker)
• Dining Room: seating for 8 at the table
• Living Room: oceanfront,TV, reclining sofa, and access to oceanfront deck
• Washer and dryer
• Half Bathroom

Second Floor:
• Master Bedroom has a queen bed, TV, and is oceanfront with private access to the second-floor deck
• Master Bathroom connects from the bedroom and includes a walk-in tiled shower
• Second Bedroom has a bunkbed that is a double bed over a double bed, with twin trundle (so it sleep 5 total people), and has a TV
• Second Bathroom connects from the bedroom and includes a shower/tub

Parking:
• 2 dedicated parking spots below the unit
• Guest parking is available nearby

Beach Gear:
• Six beach chairs, sand toys, and beach games are provided for guests

A starter supply of toilet tissue, paper towels, and trash bags, along with minimal cleaning supplies are provided (guests should plan to bring these items or purchase more). Shampoo, additional hygiene items, and beach towels are not provided.

This condo is new to the rental market, and is in pristine shape!

ABOUT THE AREA:
Located on the quiet southern end of Pleasure Island, our condo is perfect for the family or couple who enjoy peaceful evenings on the porch looking out at the ocean, with a lot of nearby attractions and excursions year-round. The condo is part of the Ocean Dunes community, which occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways and resort-like amenities that guests can use for free, including 3 outdoor pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, saunas, a common room, fitness center, 3 tennis courts, shuffleboard, basketball court, picnic area with grills, playground, and outdoor showers.

Located close to the Fort Fisher Aquarium, Fort Fisher Historical Site, and Fort Fisher Ferry to Southport makes day outings convenient. There are also many activities and attractions in the small town of Kure Beach, and Carolina Beach is only a short drive away. Enjoy great restaurants, live music, fireworks, outdoor movies at the lake, the Carolina Beach boardwalk with an arcade, Ferris wheel, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more.

Two nearby state parks offer hiking, fishing, and water activities like paddle boarding and kayaking. You are also only 30 minutes from Wilmington and the downtown Cape Fear riverfront area, which offers a wide variety of restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing.

Our condo is also right next to the rare coquina rocks along the shoreline, which you can see well during low tide. These mounds of seashell and limestone form tiny pools and puddles of water and are home to all kinds of interesting sea life. They are the only naturally occurring rocky formation in North Carolina and are a fascinating and rare natural wonder. They are also slippery, so be careful!

There are plenty of activities in the off-season as well, like the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

This is an ideal vacation spot any time of year, so we know you’ll enjoy your stay in this slice of oceanfront paradise!

Personal Getaway

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I’m an avid walker and so enjoyed the walkway down to Fort Fisher & beyond the rocks! The condo was just right for me - I like to stay in and just enjoy the ocean - which is right at your feet when you are on the deck! Did get out to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk - quite entertaining!. I would definitely recommend this condo - even for 4-5 people!! Host was incredible - responsive & kind! Fabulous weather too!

Perfectly quiet getaway

We returned to this beachfront spot because it's at the quiet end of the beach and gets tons of sun on the two decks. Catching rays even in the fall and walking an almost-deserted beach is our kind of fun.

Exactly as it looks.

The place is spacious and clean. The ocean is literally 50 feet from the balcony and, at high tide, about 10 feet. Some complained about the lack of a beach, but I loved being this close with a spectacular view. There is plenty of room to sit or sunbathe. The only drawback of our stay and it was unrelated to the condo is many places, especially in Carolina Beach, were closed due to the historic flooding a week before. Also, internet and cell coverage was poor across the whole Island due to the flood. I suspect this will be fixed soon. Anyway, you don't go to the beach to be on the internet. Otherwise, the place looks like it does in the pics and I would go back again.

Ocean Front at its finest

The views from this oceanfront home were phenomenal! The end unit was very quiet, and we really enjoyed sitting out on the porches and watching the ocean in the morning and afternoon. We did not have issues with finding a place to sit on the beach, although as other reviewers noted there isn't a large beach in front of the home. The owner was super responsive, and offered to change the door code to a number of our choosing after we arrived, which was super convenient for families with kids that will want to come in/out of the house throughout the day. The house furnishings and interior were more dated than we expected from the listing pictures, but overall the house was clean upon our arrival and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The only major issues we encountered was first having difficulty maneuvering our large SUV into the garage bay due to the deck from the row of units in front of this home and overhang from the front porch creating a tight space. Luckily we only had one vehicle, but for those with multiple large vehicles this would have been super challenging if not impossible. Second, the beach access stairs were covered with sand drift so we had to literally slide down the steep hill to access the beach. This would have been challenging with families with elderly members or small children.

Best vacation!

My family of four had the best vacation to Kure beach. The location of the condo was perfect. Literally on the beach with the best beach views we have ever had in an oceanfront condo. We really enjoyed the quietness of the beach and how uncrowded it was. The condo was cleaned extremely well and fully equipped with everything we needed for a successful week vacation at the beach. We will definitely be booking here again!

Perfect beach vacation spot!

The location of this beach condo is just perfect for quick beach access. We loved using the two porches for lunch, tanning or reading. Everything we needed was in the condo, especially a well-outfitted kitchen that made cooking a breeze. Great shower head pressure for those sandy bodies and lots of beach chairs and toys in a handy location. We'll be back!

Weekday getaway

We enjoyed being at Kure Beach. The location of the property is down near the end where sandbags are needed to deter the encroaching surf. There wasn't much beach to walk on as the water comes up kind of close to the condo. We didn't enjoy that part of our visit. The condo itself was very clean, neat and well supplied. No complaints there. The interior furnishings were a bit dated. Everything worked well and the property manager was very responsive and helpful. Next time we go, we will probably want to stay closer to the middle part of Kure Beach where there is more walkable beach area.

Beautiful views

This condo is right on the beach. You can hear the ocean waves all day and night. Really lovely and peaceful. The beach is easy to access and great to walk on. It’s very close to the rock formations and Fort Fisher ferry and aquarium. Nicely stocked overall and Steve is very responsive and super helpful. Would stay here again for sure!

Had wonderful time just doing nothing! I personally disappointed in Kure Beach due to all the houses and traffic. I owned a house in Kure Beach over 10 years ago in Kure Beach and it has really changed. Still a quiet place to stay but of course it was winter! Will be returning to my Happy Place!

Winter Beach Trip

Amazing trip! We’ve often rented condos on the beach, but this one is SUPER close to the surf - absolutely gorgeous view. I awoke to the sunrise and ocean waves every morning from the comfort of my bed.

Beautiful beach property

Our family loved our stay here! There were many personal touches that made our stay even more comfortable. The location is perfect is you’re looking for a beach vacation. Our kids absolutely loved it here and look forward to coming back in the future. Also, we appreciated how clean the property was.

Couldn't have a better location.

Wow, if you want to be a stone throw away from the ocean, this is the place to be. The view from both decks are amazing. You can watch the sunrise and sunset and enjoy a glass of wine at the same time. We also did a lot of walking. Very short walk to Ft. Fisher where we could walk on their boardwalk by the ocean. It was very nice. Steve was a great host. Any issues, he was right there to take care of them. Very nice getaway.

Beach Condo

The condo was awesome . It was exactly as pictured. It is Extremely close to the ocean and has easy access to the beach. The two balconies are wonderful for sitting and relaxing ocean front. The bedrooms and kitchen are equipped with everything you need. The combination lock gave all 4 of us easy access into the condo without worrying about keys . Steve was very friendly and helpful when we arrived . We loved this place!

Great vacation!

We were very impressed with the unit. It was spotless and had everything we needed. Views were excellent! Steve was a great host and even supplied a generator when the power went down. Couldn’t ask for a better place and host. Highly recommended!!

Perfect Vacation and Awesome Host!

Everything was wonderful! The unit was clean and comfortable. The mattresses felt like sleeping on clouds! Plenty of seating and room for 4 kids and 3 adults to enjoy beach days and movie nights.
