Strandhotels in La Alcaidesa

"Ik kan begrijpen dat dit hotel 50 jaar geleden een sjieke uitstraling had, maar nu zie je toch vergane glorie. De kamer was niet proper, ontbijt was redelijk uitgebreid en goed. Buitenzwembad is uitstekend, maar sluit om 20u, wat naar Spaanse normen heel vroeg is. Binnenzwembad was gesloten, maar heb je in juli niet nodig. Dinerbuffet is met 18 euro goedkoop en voldoende keuze"

"Prachtig gelegen hotel, maar kan wel wat renovatie gebruiken. Ik boekte kamer met zeezicht, maar moest mijn nek verrekken om vanaf balkon om de hoek de zee te zien. Ontbijt was wel heel erg goed. En ja de ligging van het hotel is natuurlijk super."

"I'm glad I changed to this hotel last-minute, since it is very close to the airport and the border. I'm pretty sure I had booked a room with "city view", but got a view of the pool, the Gibraltar rock and the Spanish harbour. Even though it was very quiet in the hotel, they still served quite an extensive breakfast. Prices for drinks at the bar are very acceptable. Staff is friendly, rooms are fine. I noticed that about a third of the hotel is disused and totally blocked off, but I think most people won't even notice. The part that was open was well kept. Recommended for sure. Way cheaper than hotels in Gibraltar and getting accross the border on weekdays (in january) is a breeze. "

"The hotel looks great, but is out dated. We stayed 3 days in a suite, but the room is quiet dark and worn out. Sealing on the bath gone, wallpaper comes loose, old nescafe coffee bags. The service in the restaurants and bars is ok, but the employees look tired aswell as their clothes."
