Sleeping 15 people in seven en suite bedrooms, Chalet Goville also boasts a wine cellar, a ski/bike room with boot warmer, and a fabulous wellness area with a sauna and a stunning hot tub room with panoramic views of the Aravis mountains. It's a great place to get together with friends or family, and with 450m2 of space, privacy will never be an issue.

Throughout the renovation, the owners have used glass panels wherever possible to make the most of the views and the natural light, but they have also retained the original architecture which brings such character to this wonderful home.

There are some bars, restaurants and shops around the ski lifts a short walk away, and more in La Giettaz, a 3km drive away.

Whether you decide to visit in winter or in summer, you will never be short of something to do. Winter sports such as skiing, boarding and snow biking are always popular and in summer, the mountains are a magnet for bikers, walkers and paragliders. You can also try summer luge, climbing, or just take the lift up the mountains and enjoy the view over a picnic.

The spacious accommodation at Chalet Goville is set over three floors. The main entrance on the ground floor opens on to a hall with a cloakroom and then to the vast open-plan living area. The large kitchen is planned around a wonderful original chimney, which rises up through the chalet to the roof. There's plenty of room to cook on the big Lacanche range oven, and there's a central island, with plenty of space for several people to share the work!

A recent addition to the property is a large indoor garage which accommodates up to 6 cars and offers guests the option to charge electric cars. This feature will very convenient in the winter, keeping your cars ice and snow-free will save time when dashing to the slopes and ensuring they remain immaculate.

There's room for everyone to sit down at the dining table, which was custom-made using wood from the old chalet, and after your meal, you can gather around the fire in the cosy seating area to catch up on your day or perhaps to enjoy a film. The dining area and living area both have access to separate balconies and the flat garden, where you can get together for a barbecue or just soak up the sun.

There are two double en suite bedrooms on this floor - one with a shower room and one with a bathroom - as well as a separate toilet.

A lot of imagination has been used to make the most of this stunning farmhouse - glass floor panels above the kitchen make the most of borrowed light and allow everyone to see what is happening below! A large floating staircase takes you via the glass-floored landing to the first floor, where there are five more large en suite bedrooms, all of which have access to terraces. Three of the bedrooms also have useful dressing areas. Four of the bedrooms have large double beds, which can be arranged as twin beds if you prefer, while the fifth bedroom has a double bed which can be separated into twin beds and two bunk beds, perfect for a family. It also has a shower room and a mezzanine chill-out area with bean bags. The owners have used glass panels on balconies so that nothing interrupts the breathtaking views. There's also a useful laundry on this floor.

The lower ground floor is dedicated to sport and relaxation - there a large ski and bike room with a boot warmer, a ski technical room and a wonderful wellness area, with an exercise bike, workout mats and table football. There's a large sauna and shower room, but the focal point of this area has to be the sunken hot tub, surrounded by floor to ceiling windows with views over the ski lift and the mountains. It's the most incredible place to wind down at the end of an active day. There's also a wine cellar on this floor.

ABOUT THE AREA

Just 450m from the chairlifts and 3km from the busy village of La Giettaz, Chalet Goville is in a great location for skiers, walkers and mountain bikers.

The link from Le Plan to the ski areas of Combloux and Megève means skiers have lots of choice - more than 100km of pistes in the Portes du Mont Blanc area, and stil more in the larger Evasion Mont Blanc area, which covers covering Megève, St-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas de Veroce and Les Contamines. If you're still looking for more, you're just a short drive from the La Clusaz ski area, which has more than 200km of pistes.

There's just as much to do in the summer - choose from walking, climbing, mountain-biking, summer luge, picnics, or just enjoy the 360-degree views from the top of some of the ski lifts. The Col des Aravis, a familiar scene in the Tour de France, is also nearby. The owner, a keen cyclist, is happy to take guests on road bike tours in the summer, when the ski room becomes a useful space to store and maintain your bikes.

The medieval town of Annecy is just 45km away - close enough for a day trip. Explore the narrow streets and canal side restaurants or enjoy a day on one of the lakeside beaches. Or head to "Le Palais" sports centre in Megève, via Flumet, it's only half an hour away.

PLEASE NOTE that the maximum occupancy of the property is 15 people. In accordance with the fire safety regulations, the property complies with the provisions of the January 31, 1986 decree (later amended) for residential buildings. Therefore, although the property has beds for 16 people, the maximum occupancy of the chalet must not exceed 15 in order for it to comply with the provisions of the decree of 22 June 1990 related to establishments that provide public access.
