Our family of five spent two weeks in Italy and La Casa di Bruna was our favorite accommodation. The home is even more beautiful than the photos and Elisa is a most gracious hostess. Upon our arrival, she made two trips to the train station to bring our family and all of our luggage to the home. Yes, there are a few flights of stairs to climb up to the house, but most of our apartments were located up four or five flights of stairs, so we were very accustomed to this. This is a quiet, residential neighborhood and such a treat after spending many nights in busy cities!
The home was spotless, all of the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed to make a wonderful meal to enjoy in the back yard. A short walk into the town and there is access to everything you might need ~ grocery store, bakery, open air markets, shopping, etc. The port area is beautiful with ferries available to Portovenere, Cinque Terre and other destinations. We loved the backyard patio filled with lemon trees and lavender and a swing! I truly enjoyed sitting on the swing and watching the sun rise in the morning and set at night. The lemons are wonderful, so aromatic and full of juice!
We stayed for only two nights, but wish it had been longer. I highly recommend La Casa di Bruna and would definitely stay again if we return!
