'Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing '

'Het was heerlijk rustig, je hebt er een geweldig uitzicht, fruit bij het ontbijt komt uit de tuin, de twee zussen die de Bed and Breakfast runnen zijn zo aardig, behulpzaam en lief. Ik en mijn vriend willen er graag nog een keer heen. Alle vragen die je hebt worden beantwoord, de kamers zijn super schoon, je kan daar de lekkerste Gallo Pinto eten (lekker vers en zelf gemaakt)'

'Beautiful location, with beautiful swimmingpool with view over the Ocean, Ara's and whales. Friendly employees (95%), but for a 5star expected I more... For my Birthday I got a special dessert. Massage was nice with the sounds of the Ara's and ocean at the background. Spacy room and good beds. At sealevel an extra place to stay. I can recommend this hotel!'

'El lugar es muy lindo y está muy bien equipado. Sin embargo la limpieza de las áreas exteriores del apartamento como los balcones puede mejorar. Un punto importante de mencionar es que los colchones necesitan un cambio y las camas son realmente muy viejas. Los colchones es lo que me hace poder esta puntuación. El mobiliario en general necesita renovación. Es muy antiguo. Los colchones no dan más están realmente en mal estado. A excepción de una de las habitaciones. '

'Room was clean and had everything you need. Staff was friendly. Dinner at the hotel restaurant (Peppers) was phenomenal. Me and my husband only stayed one night because that’s all they had available. We stayed at a different hotel in Jaco the second night and drove back to eat dinner at Peppers. We definitely plan on staying here again.'

'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...
