Mario and Blanco were fantastic hosts from helping us during our very late arrivals, to a wonderful breakfast each morning, helping us with suggestions on where to go in Old Town, making our dinner reservation & transport to the airport. 'From the moment I booked my stay at this property, I was already in constant communication with Freddy at the front desk for whatever questions I may have. Freddy set up my hotel pick both ways. It was easy and comfortable. Javier was also punctual as much as he can. I took the tram to the mountains to see the views of Quito then spent 4 hrs at the Middle of the World park. 'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

'We had a wonderful time at Casa Hotel Las Plazas. We really appreciated how attentive the whole staff (family) were to our needs, including scheduling of transfers. We loved the breakfasts and the explanations of the local foods and fruits.'

'The hotel was so cute, well decorated (I love the 'it's a museum' vibe). I love that the artwork inside went with the room name/theme. I had a room with two beds, though I only needed one and it had SO much space. It was a last minute reservation I just needed for one night, but I'm looking forward to returning and staying for multiple nights!'

'The hosts are so sweet. Breakfast is very good they will cook eggs and bacon fresh for you. The rooms are very clean with fresh flowers a lovely touch. There is a small bar where you can have nightcap. The area around has lots of restaurants and bars. The square seems a little sketchy but we had no problems and felt very safe. We would recommend a stay at this hotel.'

'Everything that was good about this hotel was quite average. There was nothing bad about it either. It's hard to explain, but the whole is worth less than the sum of its parts... I would probably choose somewhere else next time.'
