Negatief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Although the resort looked lovely in pictures, its age showed upon arrival. Lobby/lounge area seemed small for the size of the resort and amenities were very basic, if any. Several requests to place 3 families together, 1st upon booking in January w adjouning rooms for teens, to 2nd call yhe morning of arrival so accomodations for 3 families to be on same floor- were not made. Niece and her 3 young children were placed on the floor below my sister & I, which made it difficult to feel connected in a family vacation. IMO, there was no considerations made in a $3,800 booking.
The Dancing Bear, while we thought would be a nice food/drink option, was adispointing hot mess from the moment we arrived. All 4 screens fixated on the Hockey Game ( yes i realize its Lake Placid/the Olympics) but it shared the day w the Daytona 500, an equally important evnt in the racing world- not one screen in the entire resort would accomodate a request. Mind you there was a another bar on the resort dedicated to all Olympics the entire time... yet this one & the lobby screen would not budge. Dinner that evening, we believe was retaliatory to the grumblings for a channel change. The waiter was incredibly rude, distasteful & barely spoke english. He said something incredibley personal, rude, inappropriate & when questioned on it, he suggested they take it outside. Seriously, a waiter, in the hospitality business suggested they fight it out, incredibly bizarre. We left and didnt go back.
