Deze ruime woning voor 14 balanceert de natuurlijke rust en stilte van het gebied met een grote selectie aan activiteiten voor bezoekers het hele jaar door! Deze uitje ligt in een afgelegen cul-de-sac vijftien mijl ten noorden van Shaver Lake Village. De winkels en restaurants van de stad liggen op een steenworp afstand wanneer u ze nodig heeft, maar u zult omringd zijn door wuivende bomen en een prachtig uitzicht op het bos vanaf de dekken op elk niveau. Er is genoeg ruimte in dit huis voor iedereen om lekker en comfortabel te worden. Gebruik de gratis WiFi om een recept te vinden in de goed uitgeruste keuken. Je kunt binnen dineren of je eten naar het dek brengen voor wat frisse berglucht. Wanneer de avond valt, verzamel je rond de houtkachel en daag iedereen uit bij een van de vele bordspellen die beschikbaar zijn voordat je een goede nachtrust maakt.

Wat is in de buurt:
Als u in de zomer op bezoek gaat, moet u stoppen bij Shaver Lake (24 km) om te vissen, zwemmen, watersporten of gewoon op het strand te picknicken. Je kunt ook naar het Huntington Lake gaan (slechts 7 mijl afstand). Als je offroadtourent bent, is de trailhead van Red Mountain OHV minder dan anderhalve kilometer van de hut. China Peak Mountain Resort staat in de zomer open voor mountainbiken en is ook een populaire trouwlocatie geworden voor zomerse bruiloften! Mono Hot Springs ligt op 42 km afstand en is de thuisbasis van meer dan een dozijn natuurlijke minerale warmwaterbronnen langs de rivier San Joaquin. Er zijn tal van nabijgelegen wandelpaden.
Een bezoek aan de winter, ga naar het skigebied van China Peak Mountain, op slechts 6 mijl afstand, waar u kunt genieten van de ongerepte ski-pistes!Bezoek een van de nabijgelegen Sno-Park-gebieden om met het gezin van rodelen te genieten. De Red Mountain OHV-paden zijn een populaire bestemming voor snowmobilers in de winter.

Snow getaway

We planed on going up to Shaver lake during snow season to enjoy nature and the home was really close to the lake. Awsome place loved the whole house we will definitely book this home in the future. The bbq grill was a plus.

Horrible service

Where to start … this cabin could be amazing , prime location to China peak however vacasa the company that they use to take care of their cabin is HORRIBLE. Check in was supposed to be at 4 at 430 they were still cleaning it .. my family of 10 just waiting outside after a long day of snowboarding.It was still dirty . They left us 9 towels not even 10 for. 4 day stay , no laundry pods to even wash the towels they gave us . 3 nights 4 days no trash bags and the worlds smallest trash can in kitchen . I reached out to the company they eventually brought towels and said that they were doing it to be nice that they actually don’t have to and then told me I needed to buy my own trash bags that they are not provided lol what ?!? We book a cabin every year for a snowboarding trip this was the worst stay . So rude and upsetting . If 10 ppl are staying in a property for 4 days and u are not providing trash bags let us know also 9 towels for 10 ppl is not even realistic. My sheets were dirty there was nasty napkins soaked in the poker table cup holders no hand towels in the kitchen . I reached out trying to get any of these things and they were u helpful. I hope the people who rent out this cabin drops vacasa as their agency because it could be wonderful.

Great location bad property management

We arrived at our check in time of 4pm and the cleaning person was still there. She was by herself and continued cleaning for 45 more minutes. When I asked her how much longer until she was done she said she would leave the sheets for the loft and I could make the beds myself so she could get out of our way and go to another job. I said no she could do it. We also had to ask her to empty the trash compactor as that was full. The place was large and the location was amazing. It was not cleaned very well and could use a deep clean and some maintenance. One of the sliding glass doors doesn’t lock, the railings are very wobbly on the decks, and there was a rusty nail sticking up on one of the decks. Both can openers in the kitchen didn’t work. A lot of the drawers/cupboards are dirty as well as some of the items were dirty-example pans were greasy and needed to be washed before use and a glass had lipstick on it. The worst thing about this place was the sheets. They are terrible quality and are all flat sheets. Everyone in my family thought they were terrible. The sleeping loft also could use curtains for the sliding doors so you don’t wake up with the sun. The place is very unique and could be amazing. The property management company is terrible about responding to questions. I will be very careful not to rent a property managed by Vacasa in the future.

Beautiful Home

This mountain log home felt like a retreat! Everything about the home is custom, warm and welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, gadgets and small kitchen appliances! The oven was brand new and in perfect working condition. I really appreciate that there was enough soap and dishwasher pods for our whole stay. The rooms were warm with lots of blankets, which were great for snowy winter retreat! The game table was a fun! There are games there but we brought our favorites. We had a slight issue with the T.V. But the property manger work with us. The only thing I’d recommend is bring your own firewood to enjoy the beautiful fireplace!! We really enjoyed our stay and we thank the owners for sharing their home with us!! 5 ⭐️

Great stay for a family Headed to China Peak

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house has a great upstairs loft for kids to hang out, play and sleep, even a big group of them. The kitchen counter was large enough to accommodate our entire group to sit for a meal. The living room is comfortable and the wood burning fireplace is working. The location is easy to get to and close to China Peak if you’re headed out for the day. It’s a quick drive down the mountain to get into the town of Shaver for any necessities that you may have forgot, or passes for sled parks. Some things are a bit dated, but I believe the owners are updating those items. The stove is fun, but the oven door sounds like it’s going to break every time you open and close it. The sheets on all the beds could do with an upgrade in quality but the blankets are warm. Some of the cookware has been used roughly but overall the kitchen is stocked with all items that you will need to make and enjoy a meal. The cupboards are not stocked with things like ziplocks, coffee, seasonings are minimal etc. We would recommend this day to a friend, or come back ourselves .

Beautiful Beautiful home! Stocked kitchen was disappointing

The home is extraordinary. The kitschy design and decor appealed to me very much. The bathrooms were stocked with crisp white towels and the basic shampoo and conditioner. Our favorite part was the vast DVD collection. The kids enjoyed that very much. We also appreciated the baby gates for the stairs. Now for the negatives. I hate to emphasize these, however I think it will help others make accurate decisions for themselves and their families. The boardgames were very disheveled, and were either broken or had missing pieces. The kitchen was the biggest disappointment for us. There were ziplock bags in drawers that were either empty (already used) or half full of items such as sugar, coffee grounds, etc. The pans were all worn. The plates were chipped and not organized. And the shelves and drawers were dirty with crumbs and stains.

Cabin Brought the Magic of the Holidays

Fantastic cabin in a great location close to China Peak and Shaver Lake Amenities. My family and I stayed there and had an early Christmas celebration. The snowy weather and the cabin's Austrian charm added to the magic of the occasion. The only trouble we had was that the oven did not work -- which was a bummer because we had planned on backing a Christmas ham. After contacting the property manager, they were able to get us some propane for the outside grill and some electric roasters which allowed us to cook. I believe the issue with the oven will be resolved shortly. I would definitely recommend a stay at this charming residence.

Wonderful Vacation Home

Wonderful place to stay. The entire family made good use of the poker table and we have some great memories around it. The Kitchen is amazing in terms of amenities. I will give this place a 4.5/5.0. Bedding can be made a little nicer especially the pillows. Bathrooms were super clean. It will be good if the laundry room door can be closed. It can be noisy especially for those using the loft (since it is not a closed space).

Great family friendly rental

We had a family gathering for this stay. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. The kitchen was very nicely equipped. We had to wash everything before we used it. The shower portion in the kitchen level bathroom was broken. Overall the place was very well kept. There is no Wi-Fi and very little cell signal, so be prepared for that. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was extremely peaceful. There was a bear there one night and the next night there were a bunch of beef cattle roaming the area. Pretty cool to watch.

Great place, bad communication

Loved the home. We are in the process of building a cabin in the same neighborhood, & we know this home. It’s spectacular. My only rub is/was the communication from Property management. I sent a message days before arrival asking to be contacted regarding the possibility changing the arrival date. At that time, the dates were wide open at both ends of our trip. I would have accepted a yes, or a no, but it was not good that I did not receive a reply. I had no other way to make contact prior to arrival than the message section the VRBO app & no one got back to me. As it was, we only stayed from 6pm Saturday night until 10am Sunday & it left a bad taste in my mouth to pay over $1k for an 18hr stay without even a chance to move the date up. Had someone contacted me, I would have accepted any solution they would have given me, including a flat “no” to changing the date by a day. I just didn’t like being ignored. PS: The cell phone extender worked pretty well! We could get 2 bars when in the main living area, which is more what we ever get anywhere else in the neighborhood.

Fabulous Cabin in the Snow!

My family of 4 shared this cabin with our friends. We tried to cook frozen pizzas and the stove was functional but difficult to us. We were there a half hour when management came to check on us which was really nice. The cabin was spotlessly clean with fresh new towels to use. We all had a blast playing games and laughing together. We are absolutely going to visit next year! We were thrilled with the cabin and how warm and comfortable it was!

Confusing to locate the key

Initially I was instructed to use the lockbox located to the left of the garage. Unfortunately the lockbox was not functioning as the code wasn't working. Since it was dark outside with zero reception it was difficult to ask for help. Luckily there was another lockbox around the house which managed to work.

It would have been better if the description would explain the distance from town, the elevation and that there is no internet or TV. The lock boxes on the door described in the instructions did not work. Luckily, after about 45 minutes, I found another lock box around the back on the gas meter. The Keurig coffee maker and the CD changer did not work. The grout in the master bathroom was missing/loose.
