Dit volledig gerestaureerde huis in het Amish-land van Lancaster County is het perfecte toevluchtsoord voor de zorgen van het leven. Gelegen op een hectare langs landwegen omgeven door landbouwgrond, kunt u genieten van de achterporch of patio met houtgestookte vuurplaats. Ons huisje biedt moderne gemakken met een vleugje vintage stijl, zoals prachtige, originele hardhouten vloeren, zichtbare balken en gerestaureerde open haard. U kunt ontspannen in het rustige, gezellige huis met een volledig uitgeruste keuken, inclusief een fornuis, oven, magnetron, grote koelkast, ovenschalen en potten en pannen, of slechts een paar minuten rijden naar vele attracties en restaurants.

We zijn in de buurt van Sight and Sound Theatres, American Music Theatre, Strasburg Rail Road, Dutch Wonderland, Rockvale and Tanger Outlets, en Lancaster City markten en galeries. We zijn in de buurt van het Village of Intercourse, Kitchen Kettle Village en vele andere Amish-landattracties.

The cottage was beautiful and welcoming from the first step inside! Delicious homemade cookies to greet us. Cozy bedrooms, kitchen stocked with essentials, great fire pit with seating for all 5 of us comfortably and the view and souroundings that will take your breath away! Close to attractions but just far enough away from the noise! Beautiful home that has been taken care and hosts were quick with responses. Would definitely stay again in the near future!

Well restored and maintained. The original wood was outstanding. Cookies were a nice touch. It was an idyllic spot within easy drive of every place we wanted to go. Ran into a few cobwebs in the bathroom and had an issue with yellow jackets, but that is just nature! Everything we needed was there. Too much light in the middle bedroom, especiallt the light under the top step.

This is a sweet cottage away from the hustle and bustle. It is situated on a corner and affords a beautiful view of farmland and sunrises/sunsets. The bedrooms and bathroom are all located upstairs. We loved the beams and antique furniture. There’s a griddle in the kitchen that makes cooking breakfast easy. We appreciated the air conditioning.

This is a beautiful property. It was clean and so charming. We loved our stay here. We loved the old farmhouse feel of the property and all the antique furnishings. The hosts were thoughtful and quick to respond to questions. We usually take this trip annually and hope to stay here again.

Loved It!

This was our 3rd stay in this lovely home. The location could not be nicer. It is so quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed watching the Amish farmer next door plant tobacco and the ongoing horse & buggy traffic. The house is one of the best stocked houses we have ever stayed in. John & Deb have thought of everything to make it feel just like home, right down to the fresh baked cookies waiting on the kitchen table. There is not a thing I would change about this house. Thank you John & Deb! We can't wait to stay with you again! :)

A gem surrounded by farmland

We loved our stay here. The home is on a quiet road away from the bustle of the tourist areas, yet just a short drive to all the major attractions. It is surrounded by farmland and the views are so peaceful. We loved seeing the sunrises and sunsets. The home has been lovingly restored, keeping the historic feel alive with exposed brick and beams and furnishings. We loved the refinished wide plank floors and even the slight floor slant in the master bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with supplies. We didn’t get a chance to sit around the fire pit as it was raining one day and the other days were a little windy and chilly, but John and Deb supply all you need to start a fire in the pit. We were welcomed with homemade cookies which was such a nice touch (they were delicious!). The home was very clean, very comfortable, and well cared for. If you want to experience all Lancaster has to offer, but also want to relax in a peaceful setting, this home checks that box. We will be back!

Amish Country Relaxation

This is the 3rd time my husband and I have stayed at this farmhouse. It's in the perfect spot if you would like to immerse yourself in an Amish area. The farmhouse is not in the tourist area but very close by. We travel from CT to the south occasionally and this is the perfect place for us to take a break from a long ride and do a little shopping!

Mom’s Getaway Perfection

We were three tired moms looking for some quiet and a place to catch up with each other and this home was so spotlessly clean, charming, and peaceful that we were able to recharge and head back to our homes ready to face our sweet families. The house has been beautifully restored. The owners have been able to keep so much charm, while adding modern touches. The house was also VERY clean. Peaceful and Relaxing Getaway

Charming cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay. This was our second stay. Just as good as the first. We always enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful views and sunsets. Look forward to returning. One of our most favorite places to stay when we are in the area.
