'We loved our stay at the Milecastle Inn. Our little apartment was a perfect size for us, clean and well equipped. They even stocked it with snacks and breakfast items. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was cozy with good food. The most amazing part was that you can easily walk to Hadrian’s Wall from the Inn. It is also right next to the bus stop from Haltwhistle and the train station. Overall it made for a perfect vacation!'

'Interactions with the owners was easy and we gots lots of information, both before and when we there there. It's a gorgeous, tranquil spot, very central for exploring Hadrian's Wall. The pod was clean with everything you might need, and very comfortable beds. We loved the little outdoor area with fire pit too. 'Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. "The room was nice spacious but could use an update. And they made a fuss about me not wanting to eat in the special 'dog-area' because it felt like being put away... and too hot. i wanted outside but there they didn't serve... finally it was okay but i had to stand my ground and that was not so nice after a very long day's walk... beautiful sitting area outside though!"
