The check in attendant was so kind at 10:30 pm when I showed up late at night. He asked if I was there for MSU graduation & I said yes. I felt like he was excited for me! The room was clean & comfortable, the breakfast was warm and fast, and the pool & hot tub made my daughter & I so happy after a very long few days. I was very impressed all the way around!

The pool and hot tub were gross. There was no chlorine smell so I take it that it wasn't clean. The water looked like dirty bath water and the hot tub had dirty foam floating on top. Such a bummer. Also, the hotel inside and out smelt like marijuana and cigarettes. Breakfast was served but the eggs were mushy and runny and yhe sausage patties were gray in color and slimey. Just yuck.

Cleanliness needs improvement
Hotel room was nice other than you could tell things were not wiped down, night stand had sticky residue like a cup was sat there and not wiped down, hair in shower, no conditioner, floor had some candy wrappers, so cleanliness was main issue. The pull out bed had trash and hair on it. Overall cleanliness of room was poor. Staff were polite and nice, complimentary breakfast was good, to be expected for a complimentary food. Pool cleanliness was not great, you could see hair floating in pool, alot of hair, hot tub looked like it was dirty, floaties in it, garbage from others by most chairs in pool area. Needed room for a power outage so it did the job for the night.

didn't care for the room arrangement - it said 'suite' but it just meant an extra pull-out sofa bed sort of in its own area. they tried to do too much with this sofa-bed: it was not a comfortable sofa, the leg's seating area was way to wide, so you couldn't rest your back on the back of the sofa and have your legs bend to the floor. the seating area took up so much space that the 2 queen beds then were crammed into the next area with little space around them. then there was a 'closet' area way away from the normal expected location that just didn't work for normal access. then there was the toilet, which ran all night because the shutoff float was not properly adjusted. The breakfast area was neat and clean, but some of the seat cushions at the tables were way worn out

2 night stay and the room was never cleared. Trash piled up in the hallway trashcans. Stained carpet everywhere. I asked for a copy of my bill or folio and was denied that. A new GM was manning the front desk at check out and would rather start an argument with me than supply me with what i requested. Good luck getting a hot breakfast in the morning. But had plenty of toast and butter. The next time im in Lansing , I'll stay in my car rather than use this establishment! I called the Marriott corp on monday morning and was told they would get back to me. I've heard more noise from crickets than from Marriott. Not what I expected from a Marriott hotel.

The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was good. The gym had adequate amount of machines for how many people were working out. However, there were no towels in the gym on my second day, the housekeeping staff never came to my room so I had to go ask for towels on my second day and the room and hallway was a bit dirty and run-down.

Never again . Remodeling was informed dust everywhere had to check out early and go to urgent care for asthma flair up due to the dust . I got a steroid shot and on 10 days of steroids and 3 different inhalers now

Dear Denise,Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey regarding your experience at our hotel.Our hotel posted a renovation alert back in November of last year to alert guests to the fact that we were looking to renovate the hotel as we do realize that not all guests have a desire to stay in a hotel where construction work is taking place. Our actual branded websites prominently place these alerts at the top of our page when guests are viewing which room types we have available. Unfortunately, Expedia, Hotels.com and their affiliates place these alerts in different areas, and we do not have any control in placement of these alerts on their website. Nonetheless, I did review the websites and did confirm that the alert is still in place.I do see that you checked into our hotel at 5:12 PM on May 1st, and then you checked out the following the following day at 6:52 PM. I spoke with the front desk associate who checked you out, and she informed me that she had offered to switch you to a different room, but that you still wanted to check out anyway, in which she did not charge you for the night, which we do normally charge guests for the night if they check out after our normal check-out time.While I am sorry to hear that you did not have a good stay, we are only able to offer you the one night as a refund. It may take 3 to 5 business days for that final amount to finalize in your bank account.

Check in and check out was very friendly and fast.. Breakfast was pretty empty at 9:30.. Pool was packed so unable to use.. Tub clogged after 1 shower and water wouldn’t drain..

The hotel itself was in the process of being updated. The room was larger than expected but the beds were small and pretty uncomfortable. The customer service and desk staff were amazing. My daughter accidentally left her Squishmallow Dragon in the bed when we checked out and realized it hours later. Thankfully, we were still in the area. We went back in to the desk and told them what had happened and the woman at the front desk took us up to the room to look, checked in with the housekeeping staff who was cleaning our floor, and then checked with the laundry staff. The whole crew took time out of their busy days to help find my daughter’s stuffed animal and was so kind about the whole thing. It’s hard to find good, caring customer service like that nowadays because everyone is so short-staffed and burnt out. We GREATLY appreciated it!!!

It was ok. The room smelled funny and my allergies were terrible after sleeping in the room. The staff was so friendly and genuinely kind. It was a bit off the highway, so not super convenient.
