Come stay at our lovely home on Lake Palestine and bring your boat! Picture perfect two-story, 3 bed and 3 bath lake house with a separate air-conditioned garage. Fully-furnished with a waterfront backyard, private boat dock and fishing pier. Public boat ramp is less than 1 mile away. High speed internet is available free of charge. It is the perfect getaway from city life, no matter a weekend family vacation or a birthday party for children. Enjoy getting back in touch with the outdoor activities by going fishing, riding a kayak, having a picnic or making a bonfire. You will forget time when hanging out in the backyard. Overall we had a great stay at this property. Just a couple of things that keep this one from being a 5 star house. Nothing major and one of them the owner can do nothing about. They are at the mercy of the county to fix the road going in to the property.

This was such an amazing location for a family get away. Very clean house, amazing back yard leading down to the lake and more peace and quiet than we expected. We will be back again!The host was very responsive to us and ensured we had all we needed for our stay.

The house was great, plenty of space and beautiful views. Everything we needed was there, the house was fully stocked with dishes, towels and linens. Check in and out process was very easy. The grass needed to be mowed and there were aunts and wasps on the porches and boat dock, an easy fix and maybe just overlooked the timing of our stay. Would recommend this place for a family weekend getaway.

Communication was excellent. Access into the house was easy. Owner mentioned that the road to the house was bumpy, but we didn't expect it to be that rough. Beautiful home but needed a more through cleaning, but overall we still had a great time at this location.

Don’t Bring a boat and expect to park easily.

Other that the 45 point turn around and inability to unhook boat from truck due to incline it was a very pleasurable weekend away.Wonderful neighbor to help get the boat backed in.Great place. Great boat garage if you can get it in.We would stay again despite my fishing addiction.

Very pretty lot. Roads around area very poor and area is rundown. The three beds were smaller than we anticipated, and the upstairs loft needed more privacy, such as a petition and curtains on the windows. The sound and lighting made it difficult to sleep. The toilets were not very clean and dusty in some areas. Still a nice cabin and enjoyed our time there. We had six people and only four coffee mugs were there. We would definitely go back, but would love to see more privacy upstairs, and these other things taken care of.

We stayed here while visiting family for the holidays. The view of the lake is beautiful! The beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of four which included an older teen and college aged kid.

Peaceful Lake & Quaint Town

Our group of 6 had a great time at the lake house. It’s not always easy to find three bedrooms with three full bathrooms but this comfy lake house met all our needs and then some. This may sound odd but the detached garage was super impressive! It was the perfect spot for yoga each morning. The host was very attentive and accommodating. The town of Palestine (30 minutes away) was so charming that we went back a second day for pie, antique shopping and more!!! We would definitely return.

Stay for a Family Reunion

We attended a family reunion at a nearby neighborhood, Brown’s Landing. House is in good condition. Beautiful view of the lake. I am glad we decided not to bring our boat because our boat never would have made it out with all of the exposed tree stumps. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Property is very dark behind the house leading to the dock and one of the benches at the dock was broken. Main bedroom had curtain rods but no curtains so light from outside and early morning light shined in. creaking doors could use some WD40. Could not get internet to work. Oven did not work properly. Cooked a cobbler for 1.5 hours and it still wasn’t done. Had to take it to cousins house to finish cooking it. Bathroom in loft area was full of bugs. I not sure what the cleaning fee is paying for if they are not doing a great job at keeping it clean and we have to put our own towels in wash and take our own trash out. Neighborhood getting there is a little sketchy.
