The photos online are deceiving vs. what it is really like. It seems like everything is new but it’s old with some fresh paint. The room was missing amenities but was taken care of quickly by staff. I asked for turndown service early in the morning this first morning and was told "we can't, we only have two people working today". The staff I spoke with was very kind and friendly so I would blame ownership or management for staffing issues. The swimming pool which across the street next to an empty lot with many homeless hanging out was also a disappointment. The water was freezing, no way anyone can enjoy the water. The bedspread had cigarette burns, there was no mini refrigerator or microwave. For the cost I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. When I was asked about my stay via text I explained all this. The response was:
“ Hello, I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. The room you booked was recently remodeled and Expedia/Hotels.com has not uploaded our new pictures yet. I understand your dissatisfaction with the amenities we do provide, however I can assure you we do not advertise a refrigerator, microwave or a heated pool and our prices are in line with similar hotels. I appreciate your feedback and will be conversing with the team regarding not providing turndown service yesterday. As a courtesy, I will refund yesterdays amenity fee of $20 tax. Thank you.
