Lovely Cabin

The location was quiet and peaceful and close to restaurants, gas station and stores and the cabin is very cute and cozy. Would have loved the location more if it was a little closer to Hocking Hills State park. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.

When we pulled up to the house, our first impressions could have been a little better. The yard wasn't super well kept and the outside of the cabin seemed a little rough. However, it was beautiful on the inside and ended up being quite a nice place to stay. It was also close by to several prime hiking spots, which was nice. It's a small house, but perfect for a couple getaway. Definitely had a nice cozy feel to it.

Cabin

The cabin was ok but outside could have been more presentable. The drive was hard to see,the grass wasnt that mow so it was hard for me to walk to the cabin. The grass was growled up around the cabin but we had a nice time visiting my daughter.

A neat cabin

The cabin was nice, pretty clean, and cute. Only thing that really sucked is there was a storm and the power went out for a few hours. I guess it's a common occurrence for the area.

Hiking the Hills

Very tidy and comfortable cabin. Enjoyed our stay, very quiet area, even saw a Buck cross the yard. Very easy to contact the owner. Might suggest to have a cheap hair dryer available for us girls after a shower ;)

Awesome cabin

For the price this has to be one of the best little cabins to stay in. Several attractions are within 10 minutes and overall the cabin is really nice. The pictures do make it seem a little more secluded than it really is but all in all. It's is in a nice location. My only real gripe was that the shower seemed to be hastily installed and did leak a decent about.

It was a very unique cabin. The woodworking inside was 'interesting', very creative but not at all skilled. It was in a nice secluded area a couple miles from Laurelville. It had all the amenities as stated. The main issue we had was the cleanliness when we arrived. The master bed had a very stained comforter. It was definitely washed, but looked like mud stains had settled in. A wad of hair was found on one of the pillows. Looked like it stuck to the pillowcase during dryer cycle. The bathroom had a few cleanliness issues. The loo was clean and worked properly. The toothbrush holder looked like it had forgotten to be cleaned or removed. Toothpaste residue lined the holder. Countertops were clean. The shower walls were dirty and stained. There were strands of hair stuck on the shower walls. A thorough cleaning of the shower is necessary. The water pressure was on the high side but manageable. The kitchen/living room were great. Good usage of space and comfortable couch. The kitchen only had enough plates for a single day, which did not affect my stay as a sponge and soap were available to clean up.The double-wide cabin had great character and was reclusive and with a better cleaning job, I'd recommend this as an excellent place to stay.

We loved this property! Very safe and quiet, we had an issue with our water when we first arrived but the owner quickly got a hold of me and helped us fix the problem. They provided everything in the cabin that we needed and the fireplace in the back was very nice. It’s very secluded away from all the noise of life. The floor and towels that were provided were not the cleanest but easily fixable.

2/10 – Verschrikkelijk

Negatief: Netheid, communicatie, locatie en accuraatheid advertentie
The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There were dead bugs in the shower. The bathroom sink had previous guests hair and there was tooth paste residue in the tooth paste holder and on the sink. The bed blankets do not look like they have been cleaned as they had a stain on it. We thankfully brought our own blankets and pillows. We decided to look past this on the first night we arrived. Although on the last night, it was pouring rain outside. We started to get ready for bed and on the queen bed closest to the wall, there was water pouring from the ceiling onto the bed. It went through two pillows (one which was ours from home that had to be thrown away) and onto the bed. We contacted the host and he was unhelpful and just said he will send maintenance the next day. We sent photos and a video. It was supposed to be a romantic getaway but one person had to sleep on the couch and one on the twin bed. The next morning the host offered a 50 credit. We contacted vrbo as we did not think this was fair. Vrbo live agent said the host would not budge. The live agent did not think he was fair either and said he wished he could do more. This host is rude and does not care about his guests or their stay. I do not recommend staying with this host.

Cute little cabin

It was a cute little cabin perfect for us three. I was disappointed that the grass was over grown picking ticks off of us because of it the grass looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. This was a holiday weekend too. Messaged owners if they were going to mow got no response. The location was kinda sketchy. Its not really in a town but a little no nothing village. The floors were dirty and dead ants on the floors in the rooms.

Cozy Cabin

The cabin is comfortable for up to 4 people. A sizable yard allows families to play, cook out on a charcoal grill, enjoy a fire pit and relax in peace and quiet. Any issues I may have had were resolved immediately. The owner even came by (with permission) to say hello. (His son and mine are going to same college) I did suggest he add a few more cooking pans and glasses. I will stay again.

Weekend excursion

Traveled to the Hocking Hills area for the first time. Attending a wedding and a little exploring. We were looking for a simple, clean, cozy cabin (myself, son, wife, and 3yr old grandchild). This was that. Weather hit the area and power was lost, but not us. We remained high and dry. The bathroom was quite tight but is to be expexted in a "cozy cabin". Overall, we got to do what we came for. It was a sweet, relaxing weekend....despite the weather.
