I originally booked this cabin to be able to attend my sons wedding that was taking place within Gilbert State Park. Communication with the owner during the booking process was quick responses and polite messages. The stress going into a wedding weekend was high, but the moment I turned off the road and drove up the driveway to this cabin I took a sign of relief and could feel the stress reducing. The cabin was beautiful, secluded, and quiet. There is a front deck on the cabin that was perfect for relaxing, reading, listening to the stream and nature in between the days events. The back patio was perfect for a different view and to check out the stars in the evenings. Inside there were 3 very comfy beds to rest, a bathroom that was nice with hot water, the washer and dryer on site helped and were nice to have. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to prepare meals during the stay. The living room was spacious and a very comfy relaxing couch to read on and relax. When I looked out the windows or up from my book on the deck I was often kept company by the deer grazing across the driveway and grass. Plans changed on this trip and it was just me staying there at first and the quiet was a much needed getaway. My parents came up surprised me with a visit, and they were very impressed with the accommodations and surroundings. Never been to the area before, but after this stay I will be sure to be back and stay at this cabin! highly recommend renting this place. A
