The cabin was beautiful and very charming. We had an incredible time and were so happy to have found such a wonderful cabin to stay for the weekend. We have stayed in similar cabins over the years but this was by far the nicest. 5 Stars all around. We hope to stay again in the future.

Positief: Locatie
Stayed here for 2 nights while attending a concert at Hershey stadium. We were searching for something cheaper than the event inflated nearby hotels and this fit the bill. The biggest issue we had was the musty smell. It was overwhelming even after opening all the windows. Other things to be aware of are very narrow steps to go upstairs, very dim lighting inside and a tiny shower unit. Communication was great and the wifi worked well. As others have mentioned check-in is best during daylight. We arrived after dark and it took us a bit to find the house. Mostly because we didn’t understand the nature of the community. Some of the β€˜streets’ are pedestrian lanes.

The owners were great and the house is a bit of a museum with antiques throughout the house. It was hot when we arrived, but the fans and two air conditioners cooled the house quickly. The porch was lovely to sit on and be with family. Be aware, Mount Gretna has quiet hours that were strictly enforced by the neighbors. We were talking on the porch and laughing (nothing we thought was egregious) and a neighbor, very creepily, stood on the path in front of the house and informed us it was 11:15 on a Saturday and that we were being loud and if we didn't get quiet that we would see what happens. We took that as a threat and went inside. I don't blame the owner... it may be a Mount Gretna thing?

From start to finish, perfect family vacation. Days at the lake, evening walks and hours on the porch, trips for ice cream, just what I'd hoped for.

Perfect location!

We stayed here for the Celtic Fling weekend at the Renaissance Fairie. It was the perfect location! The place was well done with antique furniture and decor. The only drawback is the only shower...its tight. The only other option is a beautiful claw foot tub...maybe add a shower attachment to that?

Beautiful Mt Gretna

The house was a typical old Mt Gretna house. Lots (maybe too many) of old interesting antiques. The decor was dark and maybe seemed darker as we were only there in the evenings and early morning. It was a nice stay and comfortable.

Great location, spacious however, no soap had to bring sheets and towels and toilet paper. No coffee it was just lacking for the price of two nights a hotel would have covered these basic services.

Nice location in Mt. Gretna

This was a good stay and location for our group in Mt. Gretna! Lovely porch, bedrooms, etc. One caveat would be that the listing we saw said 2 full baths, but one of the bathrooms had just a tub (no shower or combo), which was a concern for getting lots of guests out the door in the mornings. Keep that in mind if that's a priority for you - otherwise, the stay was good and the location as advertised!

"Wooded Wonder" is a wonderful cottage-bungalow in the woods

Delightful bungalow loaded with old-world charm, style and atmosphere. Nestled among other beautiful cottages in the woods, the expansive wrap-around porch and period furnishings make this a time capsule to be enjoyed and savored in a relaxed and reflective setting. The owner has done an amazing job of furnishing and decorating the cottage with a keen eye to authentic details. Commendable. And worth your time to just "set a spell" on the porch among the wooded wonder of Mt Gretna Campmeeting. We enjoyed dinner at The Timbers and at The Hideaway.
