Perfect location, great area.
Very roomy and charming. We didn’t get to stay long as we were in town for an event - we hope to be back. Location allows for walking to anywhere in town. Jeff is accommodating and responsive, ample parking. No issues.

Fantastic cozy rental
Jeff was very nice and quick to respond. Rental was clean, welcoming, and very comfortable with all the needed amenities and then some. Stayed with a friend and were both very impressed with the decor and how nice the place was. Highly recommended!

As a couple, this two-bedroom apartment/house gave us plenty of space. The location couldn't be better - a block from the center of town with its shops and restaurants. The kitchen was well-equipped but the lighting could be better. We are people who like to cook and we found the kitchen quite dark with not enough lighting on the counters or near the stove. And, although there were two "living/family rooms" to spend time in, the room with the television had a futon and two chairs. The futon was not really usable if you are a human with normal leg and back configurations. I'd suggest getting a basic couch for that room and replacing the old rocking chair. [Don't mean to make this overall review sound critical because, for the most part, we enjoyed our stay -- just a couple of suggestions to make the location even more enjoyable.]

Weekend get away, well stocked home in heart of Lee
Home exactly as advertised. In prefect location in heart of Lee. Host is terrific; kitchen and bathroom having everything you would want and tissues, TP and paper towels are top brands. Host Jeff very responsive to all communications through out entire process.

Enjoyable visit
While a little confusing which door to go in overall the visit was very nice. A nice location and a very comfortable place for 4 adults and one dog to enjoy. Marvelous kitchen, very comfortable and Lee Ma is a great place to visit. I would highly recommended this place to stay if you are visiting the Berkshires.

The house is located in a small town in walking distance to many stores and restaurants.

Fun old property full of history. I’m in a tough position leaving this review because we really enjoyed ourselves but I realized after we got home that the host left me a passive-aggressive message in app while we were there about being “respectful” of whomever was staying in the other half of the house. No specifics were given, but we are a family of four with a 3 and 6 year old on school vacation which I was clear about in the booking. We obviously weren’t partying so I assume whomever was “next door” didn’t like the noise of young children. Families with young children make a certain amount of noise and that’s really just the way it is.

Garfield House always wonderful
Friends and I have stayed at this property a few times for an annual shopping trip at the Lee Outlets, great local dinners, and always appreciated downtime and laughs in such a comfortable and inviting place. Honestly, we have become so comfortable it’s always like coming home! Jeff Is always incredibly gracious and the property is always absolutely perfect and inviting. We will continue our annual trips to the Garfield House as long as we are able because we trust Jeff and just love our stay here!

It is a very nice two bedroom first floor apartment with a large kitchen in downtown Lee. Walk to bars, restaurants, and breakfast places while enjoying a stroll down the Main Street. 15 minutes to Stockbridge 10 minutes to Lennox, and of course so convenient to the outlets

Absolutely fantastic Berkshire getaway
The house and property were both beautiful. The pictures were very accurate, I would even say the kitchen was nicer in person! I would just say to note that while there is a full bathroom, the half bathroom is just a washroom (no toilet). But a fantastic stay that we hope to repeat yearly.

Charming stay in Lee
Charming rental, simply charming!! The rental is in the center of the cute town of Lee. With lots of great little restaurants around it. There are like three antique stores within walking distance, a great diner that was the inspiration for a Norman Rockwell painting, and just a great overall small town New England feel. Inside the rental, the kitchen is modern rustic, with everything one would need. The decorations were perfectly charming in sync with the style of the house. We would definitely rent again next year for our annual trip to the Big E and visiting our friends!!

We had a delightful time at this house! We elected to stay in the bedroom downstairs (which is the smaller bedroom) just because it was more convenient to kitchen, living room and bathroom. Beautiful accommodations!

Spacious and comfortable rental. Great jumping off spot for touring and shopping your way around the Berkshires. Several good restaurants a short walk, so you can have a cocktail or 2 with no worries. Seamless and easy check in and out.

Great home base
We stayed at the Garfield house for three nights while visiting colleges with our 17 yo son. It worked well for us. It’s a lovely historic home which has been updated and is generally well appointed. It is on a Main Street and walkable to the handful of shops and restaurants in Lee. There is a also a Big Y nearby for groceries. Two things to keep in mind: the house is old and pretty creaky, especially the stairs and upstairs bedroom. With the only full bathroom downstairs, it can be a loud trip. The mattresses are old and need an upgrade. We enjoyed having the two living rooms (one with a smart TV) and large kitchen so we could spread out.

Large, fantastic place -- better than the pics!
My spouse and I visited with our two small-ish pups. Loved our stay. The unit has significant space, with two living room spaces on the first floor and a massive bedroom upstairs. The kitchen is lovely. The photos don't do the place justice. It has a wonderful feel, it's very cozy (and I'm not using that euphemistically to mean small!), and it's very well-situated in downtown and near the Mass Pike. We were very happy and hope to stay here again.

Charming, comfy, spacious home in the middle of downtown Lee!
We had such a wonderful stay here-we just wish it was longer!! The decor was beautiful and so charming, perfect for a cozy stay in the berkshires. The house itself is so spacious, and has everything you need! We loved having coffee at the table outside. The house is located in the perfect point for exploring Lee, Lenox and other towns nearby. All the communication was seamless -definitely recommend!

OK, but a bit disappointed
Although many aspects of the Garfield House were fine and as advertised, none of the beds were really comfortable - especially the one upstairs and the futon in the living room. We were also disappointed in the overall layout. The downstairs TV room would be much better used as a 3rd bedroom. The TV should be in the living room.

This was a guest that received every acccommodation including a substantial discount for his stay. He had several requests prior to his arrival including rewashing all of the sheets and towels where a detergent would not leave a fragrance. We did this at our expense. However, this was a guest that could not be satisfied.

It’s COVID time, I know. While we didn’t dine in at any of the restaurants in Lee, they were great with take-outs. Lee vibe was much more casual thanLenox, fyi. Great hiking in the area. House was clean and comfortable and kitchen was well-equipped. Close by Big Y provided all we needed. Loved the stay!

Great Stay at Garfield House
We had a great weekend stay. Jeff was great at communicating prior to our arrival and everything was as described. We stayed for a weekend of skiing and it was a 20 minute drive to Butternut. The house was warm and had everything we needed for a weekend away.

Holiday Visit
We found this home to be very clean, comfortable and well furnished/equipped. The location on Main St made it easy for us and visitors to find the house . Also easy access to stores and local restaurants, most were within walking distance. Communication with Jeff and Jane was easy and helpful. Perfect location for downtown Lee
We were spending the Thanksgiving holiday with our son and his family. This house was perfect. Kitchen was fantastic. The weather was on the "chilly" side and house was warm and toasty. Bedrooms are nice and large. The two living areas is perfect for families, members can watch TV in one and relax and read in the other. Jeff was easy to communicate with. Will definitely stay again. Perfect location to walk to everthing in downtown Lee.

Great kitchen
One of the best kitchens ever in a HomeAway - superbly equipped. So good we never used the living room. Good grocery store and liquor store nearby. Upstairs bed huge and comfy, but getting downstairs to the facilities at night inconvenient. Downstairs bedroom fine for our adult daughter. Owner acknowledges possible problem with traffic noise (it didn't bother us). Excellent central location for exploring western Massachusetts.

Jeff is a great renter. A clean, well appointed spot. Parking is easy, location key getting all around the Berkshires. Our one hang up was that this is listed as two bathrooms and it is only one. Upstairs is a sink and a camping toilet behind a dressing curtain. None of the women in our group felt comfortable enough to use that. Otherwise, great place.

Way better than a hotel!
After cramming our family of four into a regular hotel recently, we found this lovely condo in Lee For our recent trip. Our 4 year was thrilled to have her own queen size bed. My husband and I stayed upstairs. Our pack and play fit perfectly in our closet and we used a screen partition to create a “room” for our baby within ours. My only complaint, and it really wasn’t a big deal, is that there it is only one bathroom. There is a sink in the upstairs landing and the partition hides a camp toilet. I consider this property as having 1.25 bathrooms. The kitchen is BEAUTIFUL and was fully stocked. I also loved that the TV was a smart tv and we could watch Netflix and Prime Video. Great place!

Can’t wait to return
loved staying here walking distance to great restaurants and a short drive to many interesting and restful places to visit Downtown Lee is a nice relaxing low key place. The apartment itself had everything we could have wanted with a beautiful renovated modern kitchen and plenty of space throughout. The bed upstairs was big and comfortable. The hosts were extremely pleasant and friendly. Will plan to return soon.

Generously welcoming
My good friend and I of fifty years were looking for a place where we could spend a week of quiet friendship and writing. This apartment was perfect for us. The owners were available, friendly, and generous to us. With the wonderfully equipped kitchen we were able to make our own breakfasts and lunches, some of which we ate on the patio out back. Then it was a mere walk down the street to superb restaurants for dinner. And had we wanted, we would have been minutes away from the many wonderful offerings of the Berkshires as well. Our stay was so pleasant we are considering returning next year.
