'Wonderful stay, special thanks to cheryl, the lovely breakfast lady '

'Prettig hotel, goede kamers. Lange gangen met veel deuren en trapjes. Vooral met bagage een heel gehannes.'

'The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. 'Prima kamer, maar ouderwets '

'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 'Property was beautiful. Fixtures & fittings high quality. Parking free and easy access into the Town Centre on foot.'

'Friendly helpful staff in a lovely setting.😊'

'I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.'

'Great location for a place to stay in Shrewsbury. Abbey Foregte is close enough to the town centre for walking in, but quiet enough for staying. Parking was plentiful at the weekend. Room had everything you needed - plenty of tea & coffee, as well as corkscrew and wine glasses 😉. Would recommend staying here.'

'- very nice room - great food - very comfi dining area - very large seating area outside - great selection of ales & beers - very friendly staff'

'Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last.'

'The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and give good advice of the area. It is a lovely walk into the town too. The food was exceptional everything of choice you could possibly wish for.'
