'Love this hotel! It is in a great location with an easy walk to downtown. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We even got complimentary wine glasses, tasty pastries, water and juice (which was somehow already in our room from the time we selected them at check in). This hotel is a gem! 'Were it not for a hurricane, the grounds around the main house would be beautiful. The owner/operator family, like other victims, is building back as quickly as possible. The interim condition of the exterior shows what they went through. The unaffected main house and our guest room were well-appointed and very attentive. The breakfast buffet provided to all their guests was extraordinary extravagant, as delicious and varied as you’ll find anywhere! A true 5-star experience.'

'One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery.
