The property was close to the wedding venue at the mansion. When we arrived at the cottage and opened the door there was a heavy musty smell. The baseboards and vents were filthy. The bathroom door was clearly rotten from top to bottom. The entire bathroom is in dire need of a remodel.

Very clean, very cute. Easy check in. It would be nice to have tv’s in the bedrooms and a mirror in the extra bedroom to help get ready in mornings. I would definitely recommend.

Read other reviews on the mildew smell and don't let the pictures on VRBO influence your decision. The interior has been updated and decorated pretty nice, but like other reviews the musty/mildew smell is there from the time you enter to the time you leave. The house is located on a very narrow one-way street with parking on the opposite side, your alternative is parking around the corner in front of an abandoned house that sits next door. The outside of the house has no appeal at all. The grass looked like it had not been cut in over a month which seems to be par for the neighborhood. The positive, it's a 9-minute drive to Buffalo Trace, which is why I booked it, but would choose 2 rooms at the Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn the next trip down!!!
