Definitely a 10 out of 10
Excellent 10 out of 10. Our 3 day Xmas period stay with our dog was from arrival absolutely superb. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful; the room was warm, comfortably and clean. The food throughout our stay was excellent with a menu to suit everyone and the Xmas lunch was fantastic. This is definitely a place to revisit.

Booked for 1 night for a business trip. Been past here a few times when travelling but wish I had stopped before - it was absolutely wonderful The staff were very attentive. The room cleanl, tidy, comfortable and with a wonderful vieiw The food was delicious both the evening meal and the breakfast Great friendly staff too and nothing was too much trouble Will most certainly be back here to stay later this year Thanks for a great stay

Short Break
Lovely three night break in North Yorkshire. Accommodation was excellent, together with very friendly staff and great food. Close to places to visit, such as Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle. Would definitely recommend staying here and would certainly stay again.

We had a great 2 night stay here, smiling staff.....Ned deserves a special mention for faultless service and attention to every detail combined with real likeability The food was excellent, lovely comfortable beds and spotlessly clean rooms. Only downside really was being disturbed by the rather noisy road at the front of the property.

Stress killer
Wonderful 2 days again following on from stays at other venues saved the best till last have been to this stress killer before and will definitely be going again staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble food is outstanding quality and quantity beer is spot on housekeeping spot on can’t fault this place thanks to the team again.

What a beautiful spot, had a party close by and an ideal location to stay but we will return and stay again. Spotless clean and food amazing! Ned was an amazing host too, couldn't do enough for us.

Amazing place to eat and stay!
Fabulous family-run establishment with a super-friendly barman, Ned, although he’s so much more than that and who made us feel welcome from the get-go! Nigel (the owner) is passionate about what he does and this comes over in the superb food he serves and the amazing rooms on offer. This is a little gem and I can’t recommend it enough!!

Great overnight stay at Wyvill Arms. Warm welcome by Ned . Spacious comfortable room with French doors to private outdoor seating area, Evening meal and breakfast was superb. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

The room was spacious and clean, with great view across some fields. The staff were fantastic, polite and courteous. The food was gorgeous, nice portions and the flavours were great. The location was great, close to local sights and easy to get to. I would highly recommend and for me a must stay for the local area

What a great find. The food was exceptional and staff really friendly & accommodating. Comfy 4 poster bed and the bedroom had great views overlooking fields. Shower was fantastic, so pleased we stopped over for the night.

Enjoyable
We had a really good stay, the room was lovely and the bed very comfortable, however a couple of points. Feels more like a restaurant with rooms than a pub. We were disappointed to find the Bar closed until 4pm, so don’t plan a walk with an afternoon drink at the end . Also the evening meal was nice but slightly over priced.

We didn't like leaving, the wyvill arms is an excellent place to stay and the staff were superb, and the food is extremely good. Unfortunately we had to leave halfway through the stay due to my wife's back giving out and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

The room was well appointed and the breakfast good. Service was friendly but we had to keep asking for basics, had to order a tonic water at least 3 times before it turned up. Food was over priced for basic pub grub. The fish and chips were a disgrace at £15

Nice country pub, friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and huge comfy bed and stylish surrounds. Interesting choice of cows smoking spliffs as wall art, but different. Food was good but pricey and Egyptian Stew was a weak broth with 15 peices of swede not really what we expected and needed cous cous or rice. Lamb shank and puddings were delicious . Breakfast was excellent, overall a brilliant stay

We saw all the positive reviews for the Wyvill Arms before we booked but were still blown away by our 7 night stay. We had one of the top rooms (room 7). It was large, immaculately maintained, really comfortable, well designed and with fast Wi-Fi. The bathroom was equally large with a superb shower. Every meal was superb - so good that we ate in every night. The produce was locally sourced and cooked to perfection by Nigel, the Chef/Proprietor. Portions were massive - perhaps slightly too large. Breakfasts were equally good. The property is family owned and run with a couple of external team members who fitted in seamlessly. Slick, professional service but completely informal - true Yorkshire hospitality. We loved the hotel and will definitely return. Can’t really think of anything negative to say!
