Trisha is the perfect host who is both kind and understanding.
We arrived much later than expected due to problems on the motorway and Trisha was sympathatic and understanding, even though I am sure she had to change her own plans to accomodate us.
The cottage itself looks even more charming in person than in the photographs and much of this comes down to the many personal touches which Trisha puts in the house.
The location is completely as described and there is a big Sainsbury with a patrol station just 3 miles down the road which is really handy. The neighbours are a really kind and friendly family too which adds to the experience.
There are only 2 very slight negatives.
The first is the single-pane windows which lets in noise in the mornings, which is not really her fault since I am sure it is difficult to modernise the windows in a listed building. However, the cottage itself is on a fairly quiet road and the heating works wonderfully well, so this is really not an issue, but it is something I thought will be useful for people to be aware about.
The second is most definitely not her fault - Unfortunately, I think some previous tenants must have used a couple of her towels to mop up some motor grease or similar, because although all the towels are clean, soft and fluffy, a couple of these smelt bad when you actually hold it close to your face as you're using it. This is not easily evident and we only noticed it when we actually used the towels, so I will not blame this on the host. We simply used another towel. Sorry Trisha, I meant to tell you this before we left but I forgot.
Overall though, I will recommend this charming cottage to anyone and this is easily my first choice when I next venture to this beautiful area.
