We were very disappointed with our stay overall. The house appeared grungy, outdated, and was not as clean as expected upon arrival. We immediately noticed signs that it hadn’t been properly cleaned, including used sucker sticks and crumbs on the floor that looked like crackers. The couch was stained and had an unpleasant smell, and the beds were also very uncomfortable.There was also mold in the downstairs bedroom, which was concerning. The bathroom shower had visible mold inside on the glass door. The home also had very poor heating and was freezing during our stay. We couldn’t safely use the wall heaters because we were worried about our child getting burned, which made it very uncomfortable throughout the trip. We also found cockroach traps placed around and spray stored under the upstairs bath, which made us feel uneasy and worried about the possibility of pests and even bringing them home with us. The only positives were that the kitchen was well stocked with supplies and there were plenty of clean towels provided for showering. The view from the house was also beautiful, and we appreciated the backyard area with chairs and a table for outdoor dining, which was not shown in the listing photos.After going back and forth regarding the cleanliness issues and finding pest control items, we did receive our cleaning fee back. However, we did not feel the situation was fully made right. We also requested to be moved to another property but was denied.
