Prachtige lokatie, direct aan zee.
Het hotel is prachtig gelegen, met uitzicht op zee vanaf de diverse terrassen en restaurants. Kamer op de 3e verdieping liet qua grootte zeker te wensen over, en de badkamer was zeker onder de maat voor een 5 sterren hotel. Ontbijt is uit de kunst.

This hotel has one of the best views from the room we booked. The design of the hotel is wonderful and the staff are very helpful. Staying at the hotel added to my experience in Portugal. It was a pleasure to stay at the Farol hotel in Cascais. What a gem.

We spent four amazing nights at the Farol Hotel. The staff was outstanding …the breakfast was delicious and our room, 206, with all the amenities couldn’t have been more perfect not to mention the incredible view of the ocean. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. From check-in through to the end, every single member of the staff was friendly, and made the stay feel personal. The rooms are beautiful, but cozy, and the view of the water is spectacular. The breakfast every morning was so nice, and the bar was a relaxing, fun place to visit. It is very convenient to everything, but off the beat and path enough to be quiet. They even had bikes for us to ride! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Eine super Lage, sehr nettes Personal. Gutes Frühstück, die Kunststoff Designerstühle im Wintergarten des Restaurant versuchen beim aufstehen unangenehme Geräusche. Gummiteile unter den Stuhlbeinen wäre ein echte Verbesserung

The hotel was exceptional. Great decor and an excellent location next to the picturesque Boca do Inferno and close to the Cascais Marina. Also very close to several museums including the Paula Rego museum. The staff were excellent, friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. We had breakfast included in our package and the selection was very good. Lots of choice, fresh and tasty. My friend and I are already planning our next trip!

Beautiful hotel with amazing service
The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and in a fantastic location right on the ocean and within walking distance to the town of Cascais and all sightseeing points. The staff is great, kind, helpful and accommodating. They have an amazing bar and fantastic Sushi restaurant on site. The freshness and quality of the fish and the fantastic Sushi Chef make for an unforgettable experience. We stayed in a large, spacious, super clean and well appointed room with ocean view. At night we could hear the waves crashing. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean with a fantastic rain shower. We received a complimentary bottle of wine and pastries. The breakfast is also very easy, delicious, well presented with lots of options. We would stay again in a heartbeat and can only recommend this hotel due to this wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous Farol hotel
The Farol hotel is a boutique hotel in Cascais. The hotel is on the coast and it’s fantastic to sit in the lounge and watch the waves crash against the harbour wall. The staff are super friendly and efficient. We had a side sea view room. It’s good to open the door and listen to the waves going up the gully. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was big with different jets. We ate in the restaurant and the food for lunch and breakfast were of a very high standard. Even my handbag had a buffet.

They have both morning and evening turn down cleaning schedule plus they left Portuguese sweets and healthy drinks to recover from days tiredness. The hotel concept is innovative. Very well located to have a nice relaxing time while being able to go to town. However, even though the property needs a refurbishment, the rooms are quite nice and so are the amenities. Definitely would stay there again.

Excellent location
The location can't be beat. The bar and poolside area are fantastic. Service outside is friendly but a bit slow and seems confused. Daily breakfast is delicious with an incredible view. When you book your room, try not to get one of the rooms on floor 3 with a giant wood beam in the middle of the room.

Needs to make a much bigger effort
I booked 2 nights at the hotel as I had drinks there on my last trip to Cascais and it was so nice, I promised to return. Some things can always be ignored but for a highly rated hotel that has no problem charging high rates for B&B and drinks etc, it falls short on more than a few areas. Too much furniture in the bedroom (random sofa bed), poor quality balcony furniture, small bathroom, broken serving dishes at breakfast, pool area badly managed with towels, glasses and unfinished food left uncleared and loungers untidy. THe location is great and some of the staff is very nice but some at the front desk never had a greeting, or made eye contact. The hotel is trading on its location and a once good name, but needs some attention.
