It is between Bairro Alto (a center of night life) and Alfama (the old part of the town with Fado clubs), there are also several amazing viewpoints very close (Sao Jorge Castle, Santa Maria Church and Miradouro de Graça), an organic food store across the street and the street itself is full of smaller stores with everything you need. There are view points from the terraces, which are small and close to the next building, but that's exactly the charm - you are able to enjoy Lisbon's street life as if it is a theatre and you were a spectator and since the street is one of the oldest streets in Lisbon, historical, long and angled, it's a pretty sight. Like practically everywhere in the center, there are various ways of life and people from all around the world, contributing to the city's diversity, like any city center around the world.
