Tiny House Luna | Cozy Wooden House & Country Views

Summary:

Tiny House Luna is one of the original tiny houses at Da Silva Surfcamp, built entirely by hand in 2019. It offers a cozy and authentic surf-camp experience, surrounded by nature and the peaceful Portuguese countryside. The Tiny House features a small kitchenette, refrigerator, private bathroom with toilet and shower, a comfortable sleeping area and a private terrace with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Luna is located somewhat closer to our bar than some of the other tiny houses, making it particularly convenient for guests who enjoy being close to the social heart of the camp. From April to October, breakfast and two BBQ evenings per week are included.



The Space:

Tiny House Luna was built by hand in 2019 by Leopold Tomaschek, who was only 18 years old at the time, together with a friend. Leopold had previously built a similar tiny house in his parents' backyard. During the winter of 2019, he spent some time at Da Silva Surfcamp and, together with his friend, built two of these tiny houses. The unusual project even attracted television attention. Today, Luna is a small piece of the history and spirit of our original tiny houses. It is a cozy and practical accommodation for guests who enjoy a simple and authentic surf-camp experience. The Tiny House has a small kitchenette, refrigerator and private bathroom with toilet and shower. The sleeping area features a comfortable double bed with a 140 × 190 cm mattress. The private terrace offers beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, relax outdoors or simply take in the peaceful atmosphere. Luna is located a little closer to our bar, which can be a real advantage if you enjoy being part of the social life of the camp. At the same time, please be aware that you may occasionally hear some sounds from the bar, especially during busy evenings or events.



Guest Access:

Guests have private access to Tiny House Luna and its terrace. You can also enjoy the shared facilities of Da Silva Surfcamp, including the swimming pool, bar and outdoor areas. Surf courses and mountain bike tours are available at the camp, and the skateboard mini-ramp is also available for guests. The property is home to ponies, goats, chickens, ducks and geese. Please note that several friendly dogs roam freely around the camp grounds.



The Neighborhood:

Da Silva Surfcamp is located in a peaceful rural setting on Portugal's Atlantic coast, surrounded by fields, countryside and small Portuguese villages. The popular surf beach Praia da Areia Branca is approximately 2 km away. The long sandy beach is well known among surfers and offers several surf spots as well as beach cafés and a relaxed seaside atmosphere. It is a great place to surf, swim, enjoy the sunset or simply spend the day by the Atlantic Ocean. The area around Praia da Areia Branca and Peniche is particularly popular with surfers because of the variety of beaches and waves. Back at the camp, the atmosphere is relaxed and social. The bar is a natural meeting point, and karaoke nights are a popular way to spend time with other guests.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended if you would like to explore the surrounding area independently. Praia da Areia Branca is approximately 2 km from the camp. Peniche, Lourinhã and other beautiful beaches and coastal villages are also easy to reach by car. Within the camp, the shared facilities are all within easy walking distance.



Other Things to Note:

Please note that several dogs live on the property and roam freely around the camp. There are also various other animals, including ponies, goats, chickens, ducks and geese.

We are happy to help with recommendations for surf spots, beaches, activities, restaurants and places worth visiting in the area. Da Silva Surfcamp has a relaxed and social atmosphere where it is easy to meet other guests, especially around the bar, during BBQ evenings or while taking part in surf, skate and outdoor activities. Tiny House Luna is a good choice for guests who enjoy having their own private space while still being close to the social heart of the camp.
