Ervaar de ware magie van de westkust van Fuschia Cottage. De locatie is opmerkelijk omdat u vanaf de voordeur de brede Atlantische Oceaan ziet, links van u de Cliffs of Moher en aan uw rechterkant het dorre Burren-landschap.
Fuschia cottage is een familiebedrijf en wordt gerund vakantiehuis en dit is zeer duidelijk in de hi spec inrichting, niveau van comfort en netheid verstrekt. De eigenaren, Frank en Marian Sheedy, begroeten al hun gasten persoonlijk bij aankomst en zijn altijd beschikbaar om te helpen op welke manier dan ook om ervoor te zorgen dat hun gasten een echt geslaagde vakantie hebben. Het hoge aantal terugkerende klanten getuigt hiervan.
Dit huis is gebouwd om de ouderwetse charme van een traditioneel Iers huisje te behouden en tegelijkertijd alle moderne gemakken te bieden die de veeleisende reiziger van vandaag nodig heeft. Het lijkt op thuis ver van huis, wat waarschijnlijk verklaart waarom zoveel gasten jaar na jaar terugkeren.

Het huisje bestaat uit 4 slaapkamers - 2 queen size tweepersoonskamers, een twin en een single - twee badkamers, volledig uitgeruste keuken, woonkamer met kachel op natuurlijke brandstof, serre, terras met BBQ, tuinen en voldoende parkeergelegenheid aan de straatkant.

Men zal overvloedig vermaak vinden in de omgeving ... dagtochten naar de Aran-eilanden, bezoek Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves, Doolin Cave, paardrijden, zwemmen, surfen, bergbeklimmen, het verkennen van de Burren. Doolin dorp bekend om zijn traditionele muziek heeft een ongelooflijke hoeveelheid fantastische restaurants en ambachtelijke winkels en ligt op slechts 10 minuten rijden. Altijd een pint en een beetje gek daar te hebben.

Ons zusterhotel The Wildberry Cottage ligt op slechts een paar minuten afstand en biedt ook dezelfde prachtige uitzichten en zonsondergangen.

Green Cottage Dream

We arrived after dark, so the next morning we woke to the view from the porch and wow! The home exceeded our expectations in loveliness. Well cared for and owners thoughtfully catered to the details of our stay. The cow next door snubbed us though 😂

Absolute gem!

A beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and with breathtaking views to the coast. Situated between the cliffs to the south and the Burren to the north, this slightly elevated situation makes a perfect spot for the cottage. It’s a little too far to walk to Doolin, but Frank put us in touch with Peter, a great fella with a taxi big enough for 7 (we were 5) and he did us proud with pick ups and drop offs. Doolin has lots of great pubs, all serving good quality food. We went to different pubs each evening and enjoyed live music in each one!

The BEST vacation home we have stayed in

The location was stunning! Views of The Cliffs & the Burren & the Islands were amazing but that wasn’t even the best part. The home was so cozy and perfectly set up to relax and enjoy the views. It is minutes from the heart of Doolin. We easily made our way all over Clare Co. from here. Marian is a doll and was so accommodating even though I was terrible about seeing & responding to her messages. This is my 2nd stay in Doolin area and the Fuschia Cottage really made this stay spectacular.

Beautiful Home - Great Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Marian and Frank's gorgeous home overlooking the Aran Islands with views of the Cliffs of Moher to the south and the Twelve Bens of Connemara to the north. True to it's name, the driveway and property were lined with fuschia and the home gave the feel of an Irish cottage, albeit a large "cottage." All the amenities one could hope for were available and Marian was quick to respond to messages or offer helpful guidance. We especially enjoyed the sun room where we felt part of our surroundings yet protected from the elements. The amenities and entertainment of Doolin and Lisdoonvarna were moments away and all the sights of Clare were in easy reach. This home met or exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Frank and Marian for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

Splendid cottage, astonishing views.

Our first trip to Ireland was enriched in every way by this perfect “cottage” house. It slept our extended family comfortably, contained everything we needed to cook, work, stoke a fire, and had a view that even had our teenagers raving.With cows nearby! I still cannot believe how beautiful it was. And it was so clean when we walked in. Great location so we could easily drive to The Burren, Galway City, the Cliffs of Moher, and many area castles (in fact there is a ruin just across the field). It rained a lot but this home made it all seem so cozy. Our hosts were communicative and trusting and very supportive of our stay. Could not recommend Fuschia Cottage more highly.

Great cottage

We've been renting vacation cottages for 25 years and this cottage is #1. The cottage was immaculate, beds were comfy, appliances were up to date, kitchen was fully stocked, and the view was unmatched! There was plenty of room for all of us. Marian responded quickly to all our questions and is the ultimate host. Can't wait to go back!!

Gemütliches Haus mit Traumaussicht

Das Haus liegt wunderschön auf einer Anhöhe mit Blick auf die Küste mit ihrer tollen Aussicht. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal- gemütlich mit irischem Flair. Besonders der Wintergarten war toll. Die Ausstattung ist vollkommem ausreichend - wenn auch etwas älter. Aufpassen sollte man nur bei den Nebenkosten, da die Geräte und die Heizung ordentlich Strom und Gas fressen.

Lovely Stay Great View

We had an amazing stay at Fuchsia Cottage. A really lovely home with everything you need to feel right at home. The bedding and towels were terrific and the house immaculate. Loved the fact that there were two bedrooms and a bath downstairs. I spent a lot of time in the sun porch reading and enjoying the magnificent view. The kids loved the 5 minutes to the beach where they played till 10:00 p.m. Doolin is a lovely little spot. Quiet and serene and convenient to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs and Burren. The family was very sad to leave the cottage at all. Thanks for making our first few nights in Ireland a memorable beginning to a magical family trip.

Everything was perfect!

I feel so very lucky to have stayed at this property for the first four nights of our first visit to Ireland! What we loved: Stunning view of the water…tastefully decorated, clean and well stocked cottage…lots of natural light…modern utilities…cozy wood burning stove…easy day trips to Cliffs of Moher, County Kerry and County Cork…excellent, friendly and helpful hosts : ) I highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Ireland.

Stunning Views

We just finished up a perfect Irish vacation and spent four nights at the Fuschia Cottage. Frank and Marian were perfect host, from pre-trip communication to greeting us when we arrived. This cottage is an ideal location to explore Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Short drive to many pubs with outstanding traditional, Irish music of the evening - McDermotts was our favorite. Until our next trip to Ireland, I'll be dreaming of the stunning views from the Fuschia Cottage!

Immaculate, spacious, charming

This “home away from home” was well kept, clean, more spacious then the listing presents. Our family of 6 enjoyed our Christmas here. Warm and cozy, everything provided that is needed for home cooked meals, easy drive to Doolin, cliffs of Moher, Ennis. The Burren was so close and amazing! The hosts were personable, kind and so thoughtful. Lovely trip and if we are back this way this would be our first choice to stay!

Captivated by County Clare

If we could provide a rating of more than five stars, we would! From the moment we pulled up to Fuchsia Cottage we knew we had found THE perfect place for our Irish holiday. We can't say enough about the breathtaking beauty of the setting that offers sweeping views of the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, and the Burren. The house itself is more than we could have hoped for ~ it offers all the modern amenities (including a clothes dryer which was greatly appreciated after getting completely soaked during a windswept, rainy hike :) while retaining the charm of its Irish heritage. We loved nothing more than returning to our "home away from home" and relaxing in front of the wonderfully aromatic peat fire. There are so many lovely touches throughout the house ~ warm throws on the backs of each couch, locally created artwork adorning the walls, the clever use of an authentic grain bin and scale for holding firewood ~ all thoughtfully placed to create the ambience of being in the home of a dear friend. Despite the demands of running their own award-winning bed and breakfast in nearby Doolin, Marian and Frank were attentive and gracious hosts. In the weeks before we arrived, Marian warmly welcomed us and made herself available for any questions we might have about the area. We eagerly look forward to coming back to County Clare, the Wild Atlantic Way, and the many charms of Fuchsia Cottage.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit außergewöhnlichem Blick

Wir haben die Zeit in Fuschia Cottage sehr genossen. Mit 4 Kindern hatten wir genug Platz. Der Blick ist fantastisch auf die Aran Islands und den Burren. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter bot das Haus alle Annehmlichkeiten incl.Kamin und Wintergarten mit Ausblick. WiFi extra Daten kosteten extra, am Ende wurde Gas und Strom abgerechnet. Der Preis war ok, aber es fehlte die Transparenz, da wir nicht gemeinsam abgelesen haben. Wir würden gern wiederkommen! Danke an die sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber, die uns einen wunderbaren Abend im Pub bei Livemusik ermöglichten! Danke Frank und Marian!

Picturesque Fairy Tale Cottage

What a spectacular find! This was an exceptional spot to enjoy and experience so much that County Clare has to offer! Everything from the breathtaking views from the cottage to the morning "hello" from the neighboring cows and the delightful walk to the castle in the back yard. A fabulous family vacation

We had a wonderful week at this cottage! The house was more than adequate for our family. Plenty of room to be together and find quiet spaces to be alone. Kitchen was well equipped and laundry room an extra bonus. I love the wild side of Ireland! The scenery is wonderful and there is so much to do in the surrounding towns. I really hope to get back again.

Delightful Doolin cottage, home-base for many family adventures

The Sheedys were flexible and accommodating with rescheduling due to the Pandemic. Such warm and welcoming hosts. We loved being a few kilometers from town with amazing views of the Burren and the Aran Islands. Nice hikes out the door with a castle, Famine house and cows galore! A highlight was a ferry ride to the Aran Islands complete with a family bike ride. The cottage had everything needed for family meals.

Ein tolles Haus mit tollen Ausblick

Die Lage und der Ausblick waren wundervoll. Ein toller Ausblick auf die Arran Inseln sowie auf die Cliffs of Moher. Das Haus bietet alles was man braucht. Tolle Badezimmer und schöne Schlafzimmer. Super Breakaway Spot

Really relaxing stay in Clare. Lovely comfortable peaceful holiday home with a wealth of activity options nearby: Fanore Beach for swimming and surfing, Ballyvaughan for sea karaking and paddle boarding and both Doolin and Lisdoonvarna easily accessed, along with magnificent walking and hiking options. Recommended.
