Seneca Lake Home Finger Lakes Wijngaarden Galore 4 BED 4 BATH

Ga er even tussenuit en geniet van de vruchten van het schilderachtige Central New York! Zoveel te doen in het hart van de Finger Lakes Region, van de Waterloo Outlets tot Watkins Glen! Rijd naar wijnhuizen, brouwerijen, restaurants, het nieuwe Del Lago Casino en winkelen. Loop naar Lodi State Park en breng je boot op weekdagen gratis naar de openbare bootlancering. Neem de kano of kajaks voor een ritje op het meer.

Het hele huis is onlangs gerenoveerd! Grote privé oprijlaan (voldoende ruimte om uw boot te parkeren!) leidt naar een enorme met bomen omzoomde tuin; perfect voor buitenactiviteiten. Loop naar de open veranda met uitzicht op de schilderachtige Seneca Lake met adembenemende zonsondergangen. Stap binnen naar de woon / eetkamer.
Schilderachtig gescreend in zijportiek komt de keuken binnen. Elke verdieping is een aparte entiteit en heeft twee volledig uitgeruste keukens met granieten aanrecht, comfortabele, ruime woonkamer met eethoek (mis de extra grote ligbank niet!) elektrische open haard en grote flatscreen-tv met kabel en gratis WiFi. 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers op elke verdieping (grote slaapkamer met bijgevoegde ligbad op elke verdieping). Elke slaapkamer op de eerste verdieping heeft een eigen ingang. De bovenverdieping heeft zijn eigen trappen ideaal voor koppels of familie die wat privacy willen. In het laagseizoen informeer naar de helft van het huis.

Ga terug naar buiten, stap naar uw semi-privé stenen strand met verlengde steiger, picknicktafel en vuurplaats (stoelen meegeleverd!). Bekijk de ongelooflijke nachtelijke hemel met miljarden heldere sterren, dit is een ervaring die je niet wilt missen!

Geschiedenis van Lodi
De gemeente Lodi werd in 1826 opgericht uit een deel van de gemeente Covert. De
Latijnse geleerden die na de Amerikaanse revolutie het grondgebied grenzend aan het Seneca Lake noemden het Lodi naar de Lodi in Italië, een fort met hoge oevers. De klif langs Seneca Lake varieert in hoogte van tien tot vijftig voet. De hoofdstroom is Mill Creek met de 150 hoge cascade die bekend staat als Silver Thread Falls. De soldaten van generaal Sullivan staken Lodi over in 1779 als onderdeel van de campagne om de Indiase nederzettingen van Iroquois te vernietigen en de Britten te helpen tijdens de Amerikaanse revolutie. De eerste blanke kolonist in Lodi was Silas Halsey in het voorjaar van 1792. Hij richtte een hut op Cooley's Point (Lodi Landing). Hij bouwde de eerste korenmolen in 1794.

Yearly family vacation

Over the span of twenty-five years, we have extensively rented properties along the east side of Seneca Lake. This year, we selected a particular cottage for our retreat, which was conveniently located near our family's cottage. The property exceeded our expectations; it provided a high level of privacy, was impeccably clean, offered ample space, and featured breathtaking lake views that are difficult to articulate. Furthermore, our host maintained excellent communication throughout our stay and provided exceptional service that surpassed our previous experiences with hosts.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was by far the best place we have stayed.

Excellent, relaxing stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lodi Lake house. Everyone in our group of 7 commented how relaxing the house and property was. Being right on the lake, with a dock was great. The host (Bill) was attentive to us and easy to get in touch with. We especially enjoyed the bird watching at the property. All kind of birds through our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Annual October Girls Trip

This house is literally amazing. Essentially, each bedroom has its own bathroom. The big kitchen downstairs became an evening hang out! The views from the house are stunning and the owner is SO helpful and genuinely wants you to have the best time. We can’t wait for next year.

We had a great stay. The only thing that we did not know before we arrived was that it was two separate units but it was not a problem. We didn’t realize you had to go outside to get to the upstairs. The stairs are very steep, but we did not have any issues.

“Gruppi dei sei” at Lake Seneca

We were a party of six friends that have been traveling together since 2008. We have been to wineries in Napa, Willamette Valley, Temecula, Asheville, and Stanardsville, VA. We have almost always booked through Vrbo and have never had a problem or disappointment with any house we have booked. Lodi Lake House was no exception. Bill Snook, contacted me shortly after I booked house. He provided me with a list of wineries in the area along with places to eat and places of interest. Links were provided for each item on the list. Bill was available to answer any questions that I might have. Shortly after we arrived at the property, Bill contacted me to make sure that everything was ok. There was booked on the kitchen island listed emergency phone numbers, rules for the house and other important information. The house was clean, the kitchen was supplied innumerable pots and pan, two coffee makers and plenty of dishes and silverware. The refrigerator was large and had a welcoming bottle of wine waiting for us. The living room was comfortable and has a large screen TV. The house’s location was quiet and convenient to wineries, breweries and restaurants. The view from the front porch was soothing. We spent time there with our morning coffee and evening glasses of wine. The bedrooms are large and have ample space for clothes. The house wasn’t perfect, but no deal breakers!

Perfect vacation rental for our family. The air conditioning worked great in the 90+ degree weather. We used the provided kayaks many times. The location is excellent for visiting wineries on the east side of Seneca. The house is very clean, sunsets are awesome and the communication from Bill was great. We will be back!!!

Relaxing Week On The Lake

Property was exactly as posted. Communication with owner was above and beyond from other places I have stayed. A quick text to the owner and we would get recommendations on local spots for food, fun or day trips to enjoy the hiking and swimming spots. The dock and beach area are the perfect spot to start and end your day. 6 out of 7 nights we had perfect sunsets. Can’t beat this spot. Would recommend this spot highly.

We enjoyed the house. It has a great set up and location. The host was extremely helpful with recommendations for where to go and visit. The kitchen had everything that you needed to cook while there. There are several kayaks and plenty of lifejackets to enjoy time on the water. Overall a great find that we would be happy to return to.

This house was perfect! Great location, very, very clean, and it provided everything we needed! We loved the view and the firepit by the lake's edge was the best!! We would highly recommend this house!!!!

Perfection!

Everything was ideal! The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space to be hanging around and all of the furniture was comfortable too. Both kitchens were well-equipped, but we only used the downstairs one. The air conditioners worked well and the ceiling fans were helpful too. The screened in porch was a great landing spot for all of our stuff, the garbage was easily accessible. There were so many details that made our stay great. There are electric fireplaces for nice ambience, movies to watch, music to listen to, and books to read. But we were too busy outside! The location and view were amazing! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the lake, we loved having our morning coffee and tea on the dock. There was plenty of seating outside by the fire pit and plenty of wood to burn. The picnic tables on the water's edge was a great spot for dinner. There was a bbq but we didn't have a chance to use it. There was also a firepit close to the house which we didn't have a chance to use either. Bill thought of everything! He also shared plenty of places to visit both for the outdoor enthusiasts and for people interested in checking out wineries/breweries and some ice cream places as well. My family had a blast using the boats and watching the family of ducks swim about the dock. Bill was quick to answer any questions and give help if needed. Our only disappointment was having to leave. We will be back for sure!

This place was perfect for 4 senior women hiking the area. Close to everything yet secluded and quiet. We enjoyed walking to Lodi Point State Park and watched a fabulous sunset. Would book this place again for sure.

The Best House Ever

Our friend group was so comfortable in this gorgeous house. The bug kitchen island was the perfect place to gather for snacks, wine and laughs. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom so plenty of space to spread out. The amazing electric fireplaces kept us warm and cozy and the view was breathtaking. Def click book when this property comes up!

Friends first time getaway

This property was great! The owner was so easy to work with and very accommodating to our needs. The house was clean and well stocked. There were 4 couples and we each had our own room and bathroom. We had a fire at night down by the water which was a great start to our weekend. We cooked a steak dinner on the grill provided. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend so we didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks provided at the house but we didn’t let the weather stop us from having an awesome time!! Highly recommend this house!
