Lohme is located on the northern edge of the Jasmund Peninsula and borders the famous chalk cliffs and Jasmund National Park. One of the many hiking trails stretches above the harbor. It winds along the high cliffs, crossing small streams, rocks, and roots. You’ll hike through the protected beech forest to the highest chalk cliff in the Stubbenkammer region, the Königsstuhl. Once there, you’ll find the National Park Center, where visitors can learn all about the formation of the Baltic Sea, its treasures and secrets, as well as everything about the island of Rügen.
To enjoy a day at the beach on the fine-sand shore, drive to Schaabe, about 10 kilometers away. Here you’ll find plenty of parking and can choose your perfect spot in the sun along the 12-kilometer-long beach.
