The hotel was affordable and so conveniently located next to the Gloucester Tube Station as well as restaurants and stores. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was much larger than what we'd experienced in other European hotels. Upon close inspection, however, the room was in need of various minor repairs, like tiles that were cracked or poorly laid in the first place. All in all, though, our stay was great.

When 3 women checked into a triple deluxe room, there was 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. We requested more and 4 rolls were brought. The next morning we went to breakfast. I asked the maître D if breakfast was included in our room and he told me to go to the front desk and ask. Rather than leave my guests in the dining room I said I will just pay for breakfast. We did, and was sat next to a decorative glass wall with liquid stains dripping down it. All three of us subsequently got a bug and needed LOTS more toilet paper. We asked for the room to be cleaned expected more toilet paper. NONE was replaced. The bathroom has peel and stick tile. We had to repeatedly press it back against the bathtub, it was repeatedly falling to the floor. I went to the lobby and requested more toilet paper, since we were all ill after eating breakfast . . . an hour later I had to call and again ask for it. Two 1/2 rolls were brough to three adult ill women. We gave up, went to Waitrose and bought toilet paper. It's not worth detailing the rest. We stayed here only because the London Bailey had no availability. If that happens again, we just won't go to London till the Bailey is available.

Great hotel and location, but it is in need of a renovation soon. The hairdryer installed in the bathroom is out of order (we found a dryer in a drawer after we reported the failed one); the 110 volt power plug above the desk doesn’t work; the heating and cooling system wasn’t optimal for the month of April (the staff said it was too early to activate cool air, and provided us a portable unit to help cool off a too warm room).

Not a 4-star n my opinion. Old carpet in room with a lot of stains, crackeded and worn sink in bathroom. A noisy fridge (could not find the electric contact) with no purpose as it was empty.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. The room was good. However, we were a ittle disappointed that the window was dirty, and we couldnt look out of it very well.

A great location for visiting London, but very disappointing quality of furnishings and amenities in the rooms. This property is in GREAT need of modernization and re-modeling! One notable example was how the "marble" tiles around the bath were peeling off, exposing the rough tiles underneath. Again, quite disappointing..

Great value for money in terms of location and access. It is a very solid and comfortable tourist class with a bit more hotel. Nice sized bathtub, and generally did the job very well. I would stay here again. Check-in staff were, BTW, very very nice!

The location right next to the Gloucester Station was perfect for travel into London. Kensington Palace and Gardens are really close, there were two grocery stores less than a block away, and ample breakfast options less than a block away. Slight downsides were the courtyard of the hotel has a bar in it that played loud music one night (ended around 10PM though) and the shower/tube might be hard for some people to get into because it is elevated. Overall, would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other people.

Greeted from taxi by concierge and guided to disabled access. Checkin fine, the room was lovely but extremely hot with air conditioning fixed on full. Asked room service for help but she said it was broken, she said someone would come, they didn’t. I went down to reception asked for help, no one came, rang down, no one came. After 1 hour I want down again and was moved rooms. The room was clean but a bit of a downgrade from the previous one, no dressing gowns, tissues, water, hairdryer. I had to ask for breakfast tea and de caff coffee. Didn’t make a fuss as we had dinner booked before going to the Albert Hall. On leaving the concierge were very helpful, storing our luggage. When we returned to collect it later the concierge kindly charged my phone for me. Hopefully we will get to visit again without problems.

I really like the location and so easy to get to the Gloucester Road Station-Also probably one of the best breakfast buffet and congrats for this!!! I don't want to get in too many details -overall a good stay-maybe just please, please clean the elevators!!!

Reception looks welcoming but the rooms need a refurb - poor maintenance. Cleaning needs improvement - check the inside of the lift doors! My sisters room had no tv remote; it appears the reason for that is the tv didn’t work!
