Lovely flat in Richmond
My family and I enjoyed our stay in Richmond. The flat meet expectations and pictures. Location is very walk able to the near by train station, restaurants and parks. It also had a parking space. It is a quiet neighborhood, other then the sound of the trains out back, which did not disturb sleep. Overall a great flat!

Fabulous apartment close to train station
The apartment was very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. The kids even remarked on how much they liked it! The living area (with the pull out couch) also has a door, so offers privacy at bed time. It is less than a 10 minute walk to town and the train station. There was on site parking which was nice, since we rented a car. There are many pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Chris was a PHENOMENAL host. He was very responsive to any questions and offered excellent recommendations for dining and entertainment in the area. There was a beautiful cherry tree in bloom, in the back yard where we were able to see many different types of birds in the morning. I would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay in South Richmond
We were delighted with our stay here at the end of our recent road trip around the UK. It was exactly as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The off-street parking was a bonus and the location, within walking distance of Richmond, very convenient.

Highly recommended
This place was perfect for a London Christmas - absolutely spotless, lots of thoughtful touches and very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the neighbourhood and links into Waterloo were speedy and frequent. We were 24 hours late arriving due to a wildcat Eurostar strike and the very thoughtful owner even offered a part refund for the first night - a very kind gesture indeed.

We had a wonderful stay in Richmond thanks to Chris’s hospitality and well equipped property. Check in : Easy Communication: Great communication with host. answered any question and provided suggestions in and around. Transportation: 10-16 minute walk to Richmond station depending on your speed. It took a total of 20-30 minutes into central London. Apt itself: Well kept with attention to detail. Immaculate when we arrived. If you like nice dishes nice everything it’s a great place. Would definitely stay again:)

The location was great if you enjoy Richmond. It is a short walk to the train station. The property was clean, had everything needed for a week stay and check-in/check-out was easy. There are several places to eat within 200 meters and a great pub similarly close.

Best location
The heated floors and heated towel rack were so nice. The location is ideal. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but a very short walk to shops and pubs. The only thing we missed was coffee pods but there were so many great coffee shops around that we didn’t miss it for long.

We attended a wedding at Kew, so the location was perfect. Walking distance to the Kew Lion Gate. Twin room was great for the kids and next door to the main bedroom & bathroom. Owner was easy to contact and very helpful.

Lovely Richmond Apartment
What a lovely apartment! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location in Richmond, within walking distance of all the sights…Richmond Park, the Thames tow path and Kew Gardens. Ate at some lovely nearby pubs and also used the cute kitchen to make some meals. Chris was a wonderful host! Highly recommended!

Inside is lovely Outside needs help!
When we pulled up to the house, I thought we had the wrong address. The front yard was full of very high weeds plus paper and debris trash around the front door and bushes. The front door as well as the hall way needs a coat of paint plus a new rug on the stairs. However, when we entered the apartment door we found a very lovely, clean and well appointed apartment. Chris was very helpful.

Chris was a good host, meeting us at the flat. He kept in touch with us and let us know if there was anything he could do for us. The location was absolutely close to the underground. We would recommend this location and when we are in London, will stay here.

Our family loved this flat! Originally our 2 boys were going to share the room w the twin beds but they started to fight so I was thrilled the front room sofa converted to a bed. No more fighting! Shower was lovely and the master bed was amazing. Great place!

Great flat in beautiful area of London
The flat is beautifully presented with a huge bed in the main bedroom and a great twin which is perfect for kids as it’s not under the upper flat. The flat has double glazing throughout which minimises the tube and plane noise and keeps the flat nice and cosy (along with the underfloor heating). Off street parking was a real bonus for us! All in all, a fantastic flat, hosted by a very helpful Christopher, in a great location- can’t recommend highly enough and would definitely stay there again! Thank you

Great property in excellent location. Quick walk to train, bus and cafes. Communication with owner was excellent had a small issue during stay and he sorted asap. Perfect size for a family of four (2 adults / 2 kids).

Nice apartment great location
Overall a very well kept and very clean apartment. There are 2 rooms which suits 4 people ., any more might be a little cramped. The kitchen is small but clean and there are so many restaurants in Richmond area we never cooked , though a microwave would be handy . Chris was very helpful and available by text or email if needed. And the deposit got refunded very promptly. I’d recommend this apartment especially due to the location which is great. Close to the Richmond tube, the river (boats from Kew pier) and the M4. Yes there is noise from the trains and planes to Heathrow but with windows closed it’s not an issue . It was a warm week but Chris has provided some really good fans which worked well for us. Close enough to London but also a short drive to Windsor and other out of town sites . We had a great few days here so thanks again.

Great Location for Richmond and getting around and into London Central. Enough around Richmond to do. Plenty of shops and places to eat in close walking distance Flat is in residential area on 2nd Floor, its clean nicely done up and perfect for weekend or just slightly longer vacay. Could be done with a dishwasher.....

Comfortable property well placed for shops and trains in Richmond
The property is decorated and fitted to a high level which comfortable beds and sofas. The shower was excellent, Good TV and Wifi. There were 2 of us and it was just right, I would wonder if there were more than this number for a period of time it might seem rather crowded. We were unable to locate the manuals for the washing machine, oven and heating but managed with some help from Christopher re the heating. The kitchen would benefit from a small microwave and a new non-stick milk saucepan! Minor quibbles from a splendid 10 day stay.

A nice place to stay
What you see is what you get. Plenty of room for a family in a lovely, well appointed and decorated and furnished to a very high standard 2 bedroomed apartment. The area is just great, safe to walk about in with loads of food and drink options. We highly recommend Pier 1 for the best fish and chips served with brio by wonderful staff. There are lots of shops too. Chris, the owner is great to deal with and you get the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. All in all a great stay

Fabulous apartment in Richmond
Christopher Barnard was at the apartment when we arrived and helped us unload the car for our 4 night stay at his beautifully furnished apartment. We were treated to a huge bowl of fresh fruit in the open plan kitchen, which has fabulous marble worktops. The whole apartment was bright, clean, light and airy and the photographs on HomeAway give an accurate picture of this cosy flat. We really felt we were staying in a "home" rather than in an "anonymous" flat which was solely furnished for short term lets. Highly recommend this delightful 2 bed apartment, it's location within walking distance of Richmond, and the very professional and efficient way Chris handled all communications. Thanks Chris for creating such a lovely ambiance in your apartment--we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Flat in Richmond!
We had a great stay in the flat! It was all recently renovated -- the kitchen and bathroom were top notch. The entire flat was decorated beautifully (just as it shows in the pictures). It's located on a quiet street -and just a 5-10 minute walk from all the stores in Richmond. Chris was wonderful to work with, making sure we were all set with our plans prior to our trip and upon arrival showed us around the flat and made sure we had his contact information if we needed to reach him during our stay! He goes above and beyond...

Beautiful Stay in Charming Apartment in Richmond
Everything about our experience with Christopher and this gorgeous apartment was top notch. From our pre-booking communications and questions back and forth, our seamless check in and wonderful stay in Richmond, we could not have asked for more. Christopher was a great host and made sure we were as comfortable as could be not just in the apartment but also in town. The apartment's location is great, on a quiet street but steps away from food / grocery shopping, pubs and the Richmond Rail station with both underground and overground connections to Central London. We walked everywhere and always felt comfortably in reach of home and town. It was great. The apartment itself is beautifully refinished with every modern convenience anyone could want. Both bedrooms are wonderfully appointed and the bathroom was great. The eat in kitchen was also great but frankly with all the options for dining in Richmond and beyond you should be out enjoying your meals! Bright and sunny, we really loved calling this place our home for a short five day stay.

Great Location! Excellent stay.
I stayed here with my 15 year old son in Aug of 2017 and just loved the stay. Richmond is a very nice city with extremely convenient to the subway and the regional trains. Nice shops and restaurants. Great place to come home to after tiring days in London. The apartment was clean and everything was new. Beds were extremely comfortable. Christopher was kind to accommodate us for an early arrival. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting London.

We had a great stay in this apartment! the great location just steps from the best places, less than 7 min walk to shops and restaurants. The apartment is very luxurious, very comfortable beds and linens, super clean, and everything was new! Our kids also loved their room. The owner is very nice and attentive, and made great recommendations for places to eat, etc. Will recommend to all our friends. Hope to be back some day!!

Pretty place
We spent 8 days at this flat in late April 2017 and enjoyed ourselves. It's bright and fresh as advertised...recently remodeled. The fact that it's a non-smoking, no pet unit with hot water heat radiated from the floor were all significant factors because we have problems with allergies. We also needed a king size bed. Not many units are available with all those features. The other major plus was that a Chris, the owner, was available on quick notice when we needed something. The unit could have worked even better if the towels and sheets were washed with a non-scent soap...again, scented soaps also trigger allergies in a lot of people. We bought non-scented soap and washed the towels and sheets right away. Although the heat and hot water were great, they weren't working properly for the first day...probably because the last tenant fiddled with the boiler controls when it got too hot out. Chris fixed it pretty quickly once we understood that it was off. We also had a more spontaneous error in the system on the fourth day and the owner was out of town and not reachable. So, we spent a day unable to shower and do laundry as we had planned. Once the owner found out, we were able to reset the system with some phone instructions. It left us with the sense that the system is complex and not very robust. At the very least, we needed explicit instructions from the start. It would have helped to have instructions on how to operate the electric stove and oven, the washing machine and dryer, the boiler, and the heating thermostats. All were modern but not intuitive...and, we're fairly tech savvy. The instructions should also include where to find the hair drier, iron and ironing board. Paper towels toilet paper and trash can liners should be provided. Having said that, we'd be back. We thought it was good value, quiet and in a good location to see London.

Perfect Bijou hideaway in Richmond
I can only agree with the conclusions of previous reviewers...a lovely little hideaway in comfortable walking distance to Richmond town, links to London and fabulous Richmond Park. My husband and I were visiting under less than perfect conditions (medical tests) and found this property perfect for our needs. It is comfortable, well equipped, clean and a proper home from home. The super king sized bed and good bedding to me are essential for a comfortable stay and met our expectations. Finally, Chris and his wife are without question superbly accomdating hosts who from the first point of contact have bent over backwards to make an unpleasant journey easier. We have rented over 40 properties in London over a 20 year period and have never had a host who has genuinely been more helpful. It may sound a little over enthusiastic but Chris you've earned those five stars from us. Summing up....great property, thoughtful hosting that made all the difference. Thanks for making an unpleasant trip a lot more pleasant. We will most definitely be back.

Charming pied-a-terre in central Richmond!
We had a fabulous time here! The apartment was clean, fresh, airy and wonderfully decorated – I understand from Chris that he had just finished renovating the entire place and we were the first guests. He has done wonderful job! It’s really pretty, comfortable, modern and luxurious. It was just myself and a friend but a family would be very happy here as well. The location is great. It’s a five minute walk to the centre of Richmond but the apartment is off the main street in a sort of cul-de-sac so it’s a quiet location away from passing cars and any noise of traffic, and there are several good spots before Richmond centre – we had breakfast in Albert’s deli (wonderful croissants!) and dinner in the Red Cow pub which was great. Chris was a kind and helpful host. Communication prior to arrival was smooth and he was there to meet us. There was a small glitch with the heating on the second night but it was fixed with such speed and good grace that we felt very well looked after. Overall we had a great time and will definitely return for a longer stay. Second-to-none service in a wonderful part of town. Thank you Chris!
