Leuke jeugdherberg
Voor deze prijs mag je natuurlijk geen grote luxe verwachten. Wij sliepen in een kamer voor vier personen. De kamer was proper, bedden waren ok. Gedeelde badkamer was ook inorde, wel wat geurhinder van de toiletten.

I gave these people time to compensate for their outrageous behavior before posting this. It seems they were happy to accept our payments without providing accommodation. In our room, all nine of us were awakened at 8 am and told that we had to leave by 10 am because someone alleged he saw bed bugs. That is disgusting enough. But wait there is more! They provided no plans for alternate accommodation in spite of the fact that there are many other St Christophers in London.This was on Good Friday and because it was a weekend AND a holiday weekend, scrambling to find shelter at the last moment was particularly difficult! Can you imagine the unnecessary stress? We were promised a refund that never materialised!! We are exploring legal options. Please learn from our experience. You cannot depend on your reservation here. Look elsewhere.

Where to begin, but never again. Stained mattress and bed cover. Guests smoking at window. Alcohol (Swearing) in bedrooms until 5am, laughing and crying. AirPods stolen. Never again.

Good for short stay
The bunk beds had their own curtains, so it blocked off the lights and the bed was comfortable. The downside was we couldn’t keep the window during the night even though it was warm inside because there is a bar underneath is and people were talking loudly so you could hear them even with the windoe closed (there are fans in the room). The staff were helpful and nice!

Cheap, not cheerful
Value for money but not at all what was advertised in photography, rooms are a bit bare and sad. Pack an extra pillow because the one supplied is thinner than the duvet. My room key also stopped working on night #2; luckily there was still someone cleaning in the (closed) Belushi’s downstairs whose attention I could grab to fix it. Fine if you’re in a pinch or on a budget, but for me it was more a reminder why i haven’t stayed in a hostel for over a decade.

It was okay for the price. Showers dirty and don’t bother using the woman’s only shower as it leaks all over the floor and is just a push for water. The rooms were incredibly warm despite going in winter, lockers don’t lock but the beds were comfy! Other than that some of the staff were absolutely lovely<3 and it was nice to have a good common area. Would only return if absolutely necessary.

J’ai pris une chambre pour femmes avec 4 lits. La chambre est correcte, tout qu’on peut s’imaginer d’une auberge de jeunesse, ni trop grande ni trop petite. Chaque personne dispose d’une cage pour ranger ses affaires. Concernant l’auberge, elle est assez propre si on ne cherche pas trop à regarder les détails. La réception est le bar juste en dessous. Il y a une salle commune pour chauffer ses repas, les mettre au frigo, avec canapés, tv, tables, mais qui nécessite d’être aérée de temps en temps! Le lieu est pile en face du métro donc c’est très très très pratique !! Avec des bus en face aussu qui desservent le centre ! C’est le gros point fort ! Le point faible assez conséquent serait le bruit… les murs sont très fins et on entend absolument tout ce qu’il se passe dans le couloir surtout quand il est utilisé par des ados qui crient toute la soirée. Le bruit du bar aussu est très audible même si la musique se stoppe à minuit. Globalement c’était juste : bien.

Basic hostel overpriced as are most in London. It's bearable but not great with a large amount of beds packed into a cramped room. The toilets etc are enough and service was pleasant but it's not the greatest hostel around, I think around £10-£15 a night would be fair

Wonderful and lovely staff, but filthy facilities
First day of the stay made me terribly uncomfortable, as the room was very stinky. The lockers are filthy. Either please remove the lockers, or maintain them. With the staff, I loved everyone of them. The staff is really good, especially Damiano, Avaran and Artiola. The rest other staff is good as well. They help you to every extent, and are very energetic

Good location, but otherwise disappointing
Good location and staff were helpful (easy check-in and check-out). Sadly, the rest of the facilities were not great. The beds were uncomfortable, and as a bigger person I really struggled getting in and out of the top bunk without the bed nearly tipping (I had asked for a lower bunk at the time of booking but there was apparently not one available). There was no A/C or even fan provided in the room (in the middle of summer) so it was unbearably hot even at night. The shower didn’t work either (no hot water) and wasn’t exactly clean, though I might have been unlucky and used it after someone else left it a mess. To be fair, given the price I wasn’t expecting much. It was OK for a couple of nights, and the location is ideal for camping/early queuing for any gigs at the O2 Empire which is a 5 min walk away, but I don’t think I’d stay again otherwise.

I was the only person in my room of four who didn't walk into my room one night to find the hostel had booked someone else in my bed. And that happened to one guy in my room twice. Manager also barged into our room at 2am, no knock or anything. Unacceptable. Also they had hand sanitizer next to the sink and no soap? That's not how that works, guys. Staff were friendly, however and the surrounding area was nice.

Worst stay ever! Extremely bad hygiene with dirty toilets and bathrooms. The environment is sketchy and dusty. I was supposed to stay for five nights but with this horrible condition I decided to leave after the first night.

Turned away, lied to by manager, no refund.
I travelled all the way from Newcastle to London for a break away with my two sons and was told on arrival that we couldn't all stay as everyone in the party must be over 18 (despite booking a private room) and we all needed to have a passport with us. I accepted this but then needed to book alternative accommodation and was assured by the staff and manager at st Christopher's that they would not request the money from hotels.com for the stay due to the situation. The lady I spoke to at hotels.com was helpful and put through a refund request while I was on the phone at the hotel, however, despite her calling the hotel and me being next to the hotel manager at the time, he did not answer the phone and assured me that they would respond to the email from hotels.com instead. They did not and then upheld the charge for the room for the night, despite assuring me that they would allow a refund. I complained to hotels.com on the back of this as this was a hotel that came up in my search as suitable, even though I put the ages of my two son's in the search (one is under 18 which I later found out this hotel does not allow) I queried why this was in the search results and asked for my complaint for how the situation had been handled to be take further over live chat and enquired as to when I would hear back about this. The answers were vague but eventually after being disconnected from live chat on several occasions, I was told to expect a response within a week, still nothing.

Very good
Baring in mind that this is hotel, I found the room to be comfortable, quiet and clean. There were lockers (bring your own padlock), a female only bathroom and a free breakfast. The area was well connected too. I would come again
