It was a very nice place to stay for 125 pounds a night. The only thing I didn’t realize is the bathroom and shower is not in your room. This is not something I’m accustomed to. Michael was a dear who works downstairs in the kitchen. Cheers

Lovely bed and breakfast. Room was clean and absolutely loved the decor. Staff were super friendly and host was very welcoming. Easy access to transport. Just a shame we were in and out due to a show as would’ve loved to have had dinner there as have read great reviews on the food.

You are the gentleman who asked our Manager four times to show you how the keys worked. Which he happy did. We have ordinary doors with ordinary locks. Done of the doors are broken and when you left , you took the keys with you, which caused time money and inconvenience to have them recutYou obviously don’t understand how a door locks

My family's recent stay at a well-situated pub hotel offered both highlights and disappointments. The location was perfect, especially as I live nearby, making it a convenient choice for their visit. The pub itself is charming, and the anticipation built up from reading positive reviews had us looking forward to an affordable, enjoyable stay. However, our experience was marred by several hygiene issues. The most concerning was the condition of the bedsheets, which were neither fresh nor clean, evident from the presence of hair and stains. This lapse in cleanliness was particularly distressing as my mother, who fell ill and spent a day in the hotel, encountered these issues firsthand. Furthermore, the cleaning service seemed inadequate; despite the cleaner's visit, there was no noticeable vacuuming, and the toilet's hygiene left much to be desired. A bin overflowing with used period products indicated a lack of attention, especially since we were the only guests over the weekend. Under-bed discoveries of dust, a forgotten shoe, and wigs hinted at a deeper neglect in cleaning standards. While the room decor was both nice and original, these hygienic oversights dampened our overall impression. Another downside was the breakfast experience. The fruits were good, but the biscuits didn't sound fresh, and we were expecting more choice like to go downstairs in the pub and eat a proper breakfast, and the lack of chairs in one of the bedrooms meant we had to eat on the bed.

Yuk - no toilet roll and blocked drains
This is a six bedroom property with two shared toilets. There was no toilet roll and the toilet and shower drains were severely clogged. The hygiene implications of this combination are untenable.

There was no toilet roll, because some bright spark decided to block up the toilets with six toilet rolls, vandalism, it took the Builder three hours to unblock the toilets and shower However, if you look on our previous reviews, you will see the standard of our cleanliness is very high The fact is it’s impeccable. You can’t legislate for idiots in life and obviously somebody thought it would be great fun to block up the toilets. Personally it’s cost a fortune the shower was treated to another one of their criminal acts of criminal damage, shoving paper down the shower trap.I suppose it was inevitable that somebody would give a bad review rather than just come and point out what was happening to our very loved and beautiful place

I am sorry that you were unhappy with your stay with us, however it states quite clearly on the listing that the bathroom is shared, that said we have two beautifully decorated and appointed bathrooms plus an additional separate toilet thaws amenities serve only four rooms I checked the alarm and coffee maker and they both were working as normal

Absolutely fantastic stay. Lovely room. Bathroom is separate to the room, but not an issue, just be aware of this. Room is over a superb pub that serves food, has live music etc.

Cozy, affordable and great location!
I chose this place instead of a hotel just because I liked the decor of the rooms in the pictures, I have to say they don't disappoint! The place is wonderful, super unique decor and probably the coziest place I've ever stayed in. The bed was soooo comfortable I actually stayed in one day. Everything is very clean and the staff is very nice. I'd totally stay here again. The location is good, there are two tube stations about 10 mins away. I recommend going to Devon's Cafe for all-day breakfast, that place saved my life! And as a tip, they have a vegetarian English breakfast option 😍 it's like two or three blocks away from the b&b.

Me and a friend stayed here for the weekend to go to the 02, took us only 20 mins to get back via bus, souls definitely stay here again, rooms were lovely, bed very comfy, continental breakfast left for us each morning. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Charmigt hostel på pub.
Helt ok hostel, trevlig personal och fräscha rum och toa/dusch, väldigt sällan upptaget. Dock lite klen frukost och väldigt lyhört från gata och puben (dock lugnt å tyst 00-06 ca). Men vill man sitta på puben å mysa på kvällen för å sen smita upp på rummet är de topp.

Quirky rooms above a nice pub. Was only staying for one night to attend a concert at the O2. Great transport links to that. Check in and out, quick and easy. I was fully aware it was a shared bathroom but there were plenty of facilities for the amount of rooms upstairs. Was very grateful for the night tray that was left outside my door for my breakfast in the morning, have to confess ate some of it when I got home. Plenty of tea and coffee facilities. Will definitely stay again if attending an event at the O2.

Stayed at the angel of bow for a couple of nights while visiting an event in Victoria park. On the first night we arrived late around 11pm checking inn and was still made to feel welcome and shown to our room quickly. Clean and comfortable rooms and shared bathrooms and would definitely return if in the area and would recommend to family and friends!

Fantastic welcome and quirky pub..loved our stay.
We absolutely loved this place, the staff and owners so welcoming. The best home made chips and weloved the quirky decor.2 very small minuses wewere 2 but had only 1 mug and 1 towel. The breakfast was fruit and yoghurt and some cake which my husband was looking forward to a fry up lol. However the location for the Abba Arena and the pub itself more than made up for it. Also fantastically friendly locals so warm and helpful.

Super Personal, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend tolle Bar mit riesiger Bierauswahl und Cocktails umfangreiche Speisekarte und tolles Essen Zimmer sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet kleines Frühstück wird vor dem Zimmer bereitgestellt - alle Zimmer nutzen ein Gemeinschaftsbad (dies geht aus der Beschreibung nicht direkt hervor) war für uns aber kein Problem - Toiletten müssen regelmäßiger kontrolliert werden, wenn mehrere Gäste diese nutzen (vor allem die Herren, die sich im Stehen erleichtern, dabei den Rand beschmutzen und es so stehen lassen!!!) Sonst ein ganz tolles, inhabergeführtes B&B. Chef und Team sind vor Ort und geben sich größte Mühe, den Gästen alles Recht zu machen - vielen Dank :)

We didn't like the carpet in the room and that the toilet and the shower were outside of our room. The breakfast was very simple, only with croissants from supermarket and yoghurt and also some fruits. But the personel was very friendly.

It’s a standard grey carpet that you find in most hotels these days, it says quite clearly when you book that the bathroom shower room and toilet are shared.Our continental breakfast as you will see because when you booked it said breakfast excluded is complimentary and it’s a simple breakfast to go with the tea and coffee and biscuits that we offer as well.

Nous avons passé 4 jours dans dans ce gite. Le personnel est vraiment gentil et accueillant. Bien que le gite soit au dessus d'un pub, nous avons bien dormi. Le pub ferme a 23h en semaine. Aussi malgé que le lit soit particulierement mou, nous avons bien dormi. La chambre était propre ainsi que les chambres de bains et douche. La terrasse extérieure n'était pas entretenue comme sur les photos et pas aussi invitante. La nourriture au pub était tres bonne et les déjeuners à la chambre avec croissant, fruits, yogourts et café ou thé. Il n'y a pas d'activités autour, mais l'accès à la ville se fait tres facilement avec l'autobus, le DLR ou le métro.

Fabulous staff. Decent room. Convenient location
All the staff at the pub were lovely and I couldn't have asked for a warmer or more helpful reception. The room was nice and tidy and the shared shower room was clean and had a good shower. Sadly it rained in the night and I was woken by water dripping through the ceiling. The location is busy and close to the Devon's Road DLR - only half an hour or so from the West End of London and close to the Olympic Park etc. The busy-ness does mean that the road is a bit noisy, if you're a light sleeper. An excellent continental breakfast was put out for me and set me up nicely for the day.

We booked our stay, here on New Years Eve for 10th June for 4 of us and got a phonecall 4 days before we were meant to come, cancelling because we'd booked 2 rooms! Even though we'd booked 2 rooms 6 months prior, I was told they had no choice as we'd booked the 2rooms. Disgraceful and really let down with hardly any notice.

Great night and location for Bow
I don't normally leave and feedback. Stayed overnight for work and also to catch up with my Kids. We all ate in, the food was excellent and really enjoyed the "open mic". Loved the touch of breakfast being left at my bedroom door. Whilst the room wasn't en-suite this didn't matter as bathrooms were clean and next to room, would definately go back again. The whole feeling of the place was great

Very comfy and excellent facilities!
What a lovely, comfortable room with excellent facilities! I loved staying here and felt like royalty. The vegan breakfast was delicious and it was a nice quiet room with a very comfortable bed! Everything was very thoughtfully done and the fan was most welcome! Made my train to Stratford easily as is very near Devon’s Road DLR.

Die Unterkunft war gut und das Personal sehr freundlich . Selbst als es so warm wurde haben wir einen Ventilator zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen . Das Zimmer war schön groß und sauber allerdings war es nachts sehr laut . Die Gemeinschaftlichen Badezimmer waren schön gestaltet und sauber . Lediglich die Badewanne konnten wir nicht nutzen , da das Wasser einfach sehr heiß war und man diese nicht kalt stellen konnte . Schade war allerdings , dass wir an zwei Tagen nur Frühstück für eine Person bekommen haben obwohl wir zu zweit waren . Zusammenfassend aber dennoch eine gute Unterkunft , und man ist wirklich schnell in der Stadt

Would definitely stay again.
Absolutely loved this stay! The rooms were decorated beautifully and the staff couldmt do enough for their customers. An added bonus is the tasty craft beers and cider available in the pub which went well with in the beer garden which was a lovely sun trap. Although there was communal bathroom facilities they were clean, and to the same designer spec as the bedrooms which was a nice surprise.

Where do I start with this one. This is not a hotel it's rooms above a pub, there are no ensuites, no loo roll in the communal toilet, the rooms are dirty, the pub door slams EVERY time it shuts and no reception should you need anything (like loo roll) the "Continental Breakfast" is some cheese, ham and french toast left in the hallway on a plate the night before. The pub seemed ok with a varied and different selection of beers but that is probably the only positive I have. I thought it would be nice not to stay at one of the usual brands of hotel, this just highlights why we should have. Honestly go to the pub but dont stay at the hotel.

This review is not only unfair but the substance of it is incorrect, nowhere do we refer to it as a Hotel it is a B&B , no it does not have en-suites and it clearly states this on the information when you booked the room, it states that the bathroom, shower room and toilets are shared. The rooms are certainly not dirty as housekeeping cleans them daily, The pub door was a problem because the soft closer broke but that was replaced within one day.As for no reception you came to the pub which is downstairs to the B&B to check in and meet our staff, they took you upstairs and showed you your room, therefore if there were no toilet rolls why did you not ask the staff? They are available until 12:30am most nights.The Continental Breakfast which is complimentary is left on a tray outside guest rooms, we do that not to disturb the guest because it is normally left in the early hours of the morning.Once more it is not a hotel, our website quite clearly shows that it is a B&B I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us.
