Best sunset view
This house is in a great location and has incredible sunset views. When we first pulled up we were a little shocked about the outer condition of the house. When we got inside it was nicer than we thought it would be at first but still could use a lot of TLC. Staying at this house is like staying at your great grandmas house. Very quirky and old school. Kitchen was great. Beds were good. Views were stunning. Definitely needed deep cleaning. But we would stay here again for those views.

Agate Beach House
the location was great, and the house was accurately listed. they are correct in saying cell phone is minimal, 1-2 bars at the most! it is a short walk to Iceberg Point, and sitting on the beach across the street gave beautiful sunsets!

In rough shape
Absolutely stunning views and amazing private beach. Location can not be beat! The house however is in pretty rough shape, everything is old and outdated. There was still coffee in the coffee maker from previous guests… Apparently there is a washer and dryer in the basement but the door was locked and no instructions on how to get in there so we couldn’t do any laundry. Overall still enjoyed our stay

Older beach house, but clean.
This was a week long work trip, this older beach house has lots of amenities, just no internet or cell service. It needs a full size coffee maker. The house worked great for us and we will rent it again in the future.

Location, location, location
The setting can't be beat. Amazing sunset viewing (though it'd be nice to have a front deck or patio). Quiet neighborhood with very little local traffic on the road between you and the beach. We can definitely recommend the hike down to Iceberg Point--beautiful and not too challenging, even if you go all the way out to the west end. Lots of little things to nitpick about the house, but no show-stoppers. Check out the other reviews if you're curious. Seemed clean enough on our visit. Definitely fits into the funky/quirky category, and it felt somewhat overpriced for April, even with the lovely location. The shower head could use replacing as it's pretty well clogged with mineral deposits. Also, for a place that says it sleeps 6, we'd recommend a larger coffeemaker than just a 5-cup hotel-room model. We made two pots per day just for the two of us. The kitchen is newer, nice and roomy, and had enough plates and silverware to handle a 20-guest banquet. We did our dishes in the sink so can't vouch for the dishwasher. No Wi-Fi, cable, or satellite, as others have noted, but we were able to get 2 or 3 bars of Verizon service if we sat near the window on the bigger couch. Overall, I guess we'd probably try a different place if we come back to Lopez.

Great location, functional lodging
Clean and adequate. Furnishings are dated and home smells a little musty. Location is great and so is the beach. Kitchen was well equipped with the exception of coffee filters. A front deck would be a wonderful addition to this property.

Fantastic location, older but spacious home
Great location on south Lopez island, view of the beach from the front window! Easy access to a nice walk to Iceberg point and more great views. House has three bedrooms and a nice open living/dining area, perfect for our stay with three couples. Kitchen is very well stocked and updated, we had a great time cooking dinner after our outings. Some odd quirks with the bathroom, the shower door doesn't seal well and there are no towel racks anywhere. The water is very hard and the shower head was a little clogged up and drippy. No laundry or dryer on site. There also wasn't any toilet paper when we first arrived, hopefully just an oversight from the cleaning! Our stay was in December, so we did turn the heat on and the baseboards were a little noisy at night, bring earplugs if you're sensitive to that kind of thing. Overall, a charming beach house great for island adventures.

Agate Beach Property
The location of this property is amazing, with views to match. Is at the southern end of island so plan to drive into town for amenities and dining. Great spot for kayaking although kayak launch was tricky with drift wood to cross but once in the water, awesome! The water is so calm and the agate hunting and sunsets are unbeatable! House itself is fine, old and comfy with nice kitchen update but furniture shampooing would go a long way or just a vacuum would be nice. Dog friendly but we couldn’t even sit on couch because of the amount of dog hair on it. I would rent this property again but would reach out to vacasa to have their cleaners come back to vacuum. Also, no wifi and little to no service if you are Verizon.

Visiting Family on Lopez Island
The Agate Beach house on Lopez Island provided a great base camp for family to gather, nearby hiking opportunities, and for visiting the island. The house was clean and ready to use. Charming but problems
I feel it could have been cleaner. Our comforter needed to be washed. The dishwasher was in terrible shape and there was no soap for it. We needed kitchen towels and a decent sized sponge. There was one inadequate towel rack in the bathroom. In some ways it was charming but we were frustrated with what was lacking.

Special place
Just an amazing and special place. House was clean and comfortable. The view was absolutely stunning. We watched sea otters dive for food every morning at breakfast, and spent hours on the beach that was a 20 second walk away. Highly recommend this place if you want a quiet corner of the world to escape to.

Beautiful location on Lopez
We loved our stay at this rental property. It was the perfect home base to explore Lopez. It's a wonderful location in which to unplug, relax with a book, and catch some incredible sunsets out the picture windows.

Location is everything. It is Lopez Island that is the attraction here. The beach and hikes to Iceberg point are awesome. Sunsets and nice neighbors. A nice getaway from city life and not many people or traffic. No BBQ, A tent awning was the best thing we brought. We brought good yard chairs with us to sit in at sunset. No outdoor seating was provided. They are Dog friendly and we really appreciated that. We used our own linens and precleaned the place on arrival. Bring drinking water. We are coming again.

Excellent Location; Mostly Clean, Mysterious Check-Out Time
Check-in was easy, check-out not so much. VRBO listed 10am as the check-out time, but the rules in the binder and the rule sheet on the wall said 11am. I messaged the host 3 different ways well before 9 but only heard back at 9:50 that we were supposed to check out by 10. We had to unload the dishwasher ourselves after checking in - we made sure to run it by 9am when checking out so hopefully the next guests don't have to do the same thing. Don't expect much in the way of style, but the location really can't be beat.

Location, Location, location!
If you can stand being without phone and internet, you can discover this gem property at the very southern tip of Lopez island. A 30 minute walk took us to a headland, with 210 degree views. The house itself is spacious, the kitchen new and well designed, and your view out the picture window is straight out the Pacific!

My cousin and I booked this house to stay in April and work for a week. While the house and location we're beautiful there was no wifi and service was very spotty on the island. When we booked in January there was no call out that this was the case. It truly is a perfect place to get away and unplug.

Wonderful experience. The beach right in front and great hikes close by. The perfect place to get away and watch a storm come in and the sun emerge over the strait. Plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen.

Property is clean and well kept. Beautiful views and easy access to hiking trails. No WiFi and cell phone service is poor. Be sure to check with your cell phone carrier to make sure the provide service to Lopez Island. If you're looking for a secluded getaway with no internet, wifi or cell service this is the place for you.

First impression of house exterior was shabby. But kitchen, appliances, and bathroom have been updated. Walking access to Iceberg Point was wonderful. Views of sunsets and water were very relaxing. No internet. No cell service. Dishwasher needs repair. House seemed clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Magical Lopez Island
Beautiful location away from the crowds. We enjoyed walks with our puppy to the Iceberg Point, exploring tide pools and watching magical sunset! This is such a happy, peaceful place.

A barbecue would have been nice. If your going to advertise ADA accessibility a few more features would have been way easier for us. Pull up bars around the toilet area and lots of smaller area rugs are hard to maneuver. We had a lovely time and totally enjoyed your home...just a few challenges for our mom. Thank you so much!!!!

Could not stay there. Terrible smell in house
The home wreaked of mold/mildew. There were stains on the furniture. The bedrooms smelled like moth balls. There were air fresheners in kitchen and living room attempting to mask this smell. We started to get a headache while unloading the car, we just could not stay there. Packed it up and left. Took pictures and expect a full refund. Not looking for perfection, but am looking for sanitary conditions that don’t have a funky odor or mold in home and furniture I can use.

Overall the house needs a little TLC but it was warm and comfortable. The beds could use new mattresses and one bed squeaked like crazy but it was fun to spend time with family and they allow pets so this was a plus.

Old but comfortable
The accommodations are old but comfortable with a great kitchen for cooking. Not a lot happening on Lopez in the winter but our goal was to get away and the cabin is isolated enough to make that easy. Iceberg point is beautiful and an easy walk. In warmer weather kayaking and biking would be great. Over all a great base for outdoor activities and I would definitely stay there again.

Great home, great location! We had a wonderful time!
We had a wonderful stay at this home. The location is fantastic and the home met all (almost all) of our needs. Kitchen is wonderful, enjoyed the big screen tv, house was toasty warm, the ability to walk 10 steps to the beach was marvelous! The suggestions we have are: 1) coffee maker didn't work (espresso coffee machine did, thank goodness :)) 2) during storm on Thursday, the siding & roof was loud 3) no hair dryer, not a big deal, but wish I had thought to bring mine 4) bathroom shower doors do not hold in the water 5) good idea to mention that there is little cell service Great place, though! Wonderfully located beach house
This cozy house across from Agate beach was perfect for us and our three pugs. The sunsets and overall surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The biking is great right out the front door and there is plenty to do and see nearby. Not to mention the neighbors were very friendly.

Good location, terrible mattresses and pillows
I'm disappointed in the quality of the mattresses and pillows. They were quite old and I had a hard time sleeping. Very dusty and itchy. The water view was across the Main Street. The only bedroom with a view did NOT have a window shade. Thus, anyone walking or driving on the Main Street could see right into the bedroom. I'd like a refund since I could not sleep nor could I have privacy. Thank you.
