An over priced gimmick. The place barely has any staff. Breakfast experience is a nightmare. Good luck getting a place to sit and good luck getting any service. Took 45 minutes and chasing services to finally get a coffee that was cold. Nice concept - but not the service is non existent!!!

Il Borro is the very best of Tuscany! An exceptional retreat with fantastic service, great food, and some of the best wine in Italy. Not to mention horseback riding — the resort has more horses than staff. The perfect way to unwind and spend some great time together as a couple or a family. We will definitely be back!

Impeccably clean, fantastic service, and as unique a property as you’ll find in Tuscany. Spend a night or two embedded in the medieval village Ferragamo bought and restored, maintaining its charm and authenticity throughout.

Bella struttura ma un po dispersiva
l'arrivo al Borro e' senza dubbio molto suggestivo con un magnifico viale fiancheggiato da cipressi e dai paddock con i cavalli.Poi pero' per raggiungere le stanze bisogna lasciare l'auto e salire su una navetta che ti accompagna sino all'hotel diffuso sito in un piccolo villaggio mediovale ristrutturato con grande gusto,anche se a noi italiani probabilmente le piccole botteghe artigianali risultano un po' fasulle.La stanza e' curata nei minimi dettagli,con macchina per l'espresso e un bellissimo bagno. La piscina e il bistrot dove pranzare al contrario hanno uno stile modernissimo ed inoltre sono piuttosto lontani dalle stanze. L'insieme quindi risulta poco armonico e non immediatamente fruibile,anche se l'immersione nella natura assicura comunque un soggiorno piacevole

Overall a disappointment! For this price, there are a lot of other hotels you could stay in that are in a better location (the drive to the hotel is particularly unattractive) and have better amentities. For a small hotel, I found the service a bit lacking and impersonal. The grounds were also very disappointing (don't be fooled by the marketing materials, they are not well kept). Weeds, brown water in the fountains, and the gardens are not maintained. The biggest disappointment however was the restaurant, the food was pricey but uninspired (my bf had roasted meat and mashed potatoes that looked like wedding food) and not very interesting. The one pro is the wine is very good but still definitely would not recommend staying here!

Beautiful real estate, but mediocre service & food
The premises are beautiful from the outside, clearly 5-star quality and unique. The rooms were also nice (we booked a suite, good but not extraordinary). Also, the room prices are fair for what you get. BUT: - the service is disappointingly very mediocre. A majority of the staff feels like they are hired from Manpower (except from the executive staff, who had a more professional feel). The staff didn’t feel that enthusiastic about the work. - The food: The breakfast was not good - the bread stale and the cakes dry. It seemed like everything had been prepared a day before. The bistro/pizza restaurant: ah, where to begin - I’ve never tasted pizza that boring in Italy before. The food at the osteria was also a bit soul-less. And again: all bread was toasted. You get the impression that the toasting was to hide that the bread was old. - the gym: extremely poorely equipped. Also, the area does not have classical Tuscany nature/surroundings. For that’ll you need to head further south to Val d’Orcia.

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Il Borro. Der Service war mittelmässig. Die angestellten der Réception waren entweder überfordert oder unfreundlich/überheblich. Der Concierge Service war top.Das Hoteldorf ist sehr sympathisch. Da die Anlage im wald liegt, gibt es allerlei Insekten, extrem viele Mücken. Das essen in der Osteria ist viel zu teuer un nicht überaus gut. Das Bistrot hingegen war angenehm mit einer köstlichen Pizza. Alles in Allem hatten wir uns mehr erhoft für den Ruf den das Il Borro hat.

The place is beautiful and the room are very pleasant, but the staff is not very professional, young and unprepared (for example, at breakfast one waitress took from our table the bottle of orange juice that we ordered so that she could pour some juice to a lady at another table, "because they did not have anymore juice"!?) , there was not enough staff at night (we had to wait 15 minutes to get the entrance gates opened one evening after dinner, because the only person working at at that time was occupied driving some other guests from the main receipt to the rooms, which are located 5 minutes walking/driving from the reception), the rooms have a heating problem (we were 6 people in 3 rooms, one of which was freezing for all the 3 nights we stayed, even if we asked to find a solution, while another was boiling hot all time, even with the heating set on OFF). Also, this little holiday was a gift from my father to his son and daughter and their respective wife and husband, but the hotel left on the last day in each room the bill of the hotel, so everyone saw it. The structure of Il Borro is beautiful, even if very unpractical: to have breakfast you have to wear your coat and walk 5 minutes to the breakfast location. Also, there is no indoor swimming pool, while we saw a photo of a indoor pool when booking, which is actually part of a private villa in Il Borro, and therefore not accessible. All the above is not in line with a Relais & Châteaux hotel and the cost of this place.

Tuscany at its best
This an amazing property in a most beautiful Tuscan setting. The heated infinity pool is incredible. The restaurants are outstanding and the estates wines our brilliant and make sure you book a wine tasting with Florence. The staff and all very friendly and most professional. The view are incredible and our suite was more like a luxurious Tuscan villa, massive bedroom, bathroom and living room including a large dinning table. The property as great walking trails, golf course and even its own ancient chapel and castle ruin. This is a very special property in a beautiful part of Italy.

Lugar incrível uma linda vila, quarto amplos, muito bem decorado e super confortável. O café da manhã é bom acho que poderia ter mais variedades. As bicicletas disponíveis tem custo extra achei que seriam complementos para os hóspedes, pois nesta região é muito bom pedalar !

The location is a bit off the beaten path, which is nice for us but may be challenging for some. Definitely cannot understate how nice this place is though. In all respects a very enchanting experience. I would recommend a longer stay. There is a lot to do, and with the distance you have to travel to get there, you should set aside at least a day to just relax. The staff will make that easy for you, they handle everything very promptly.

Facilities good but not all available. N.B. Pools are not heated. Restaurants were fully booked during our stay (considering this is a resort, we had to leave to get food which was not what we were expecting). Sadly, the 'resort' is open to public as the suites are in converted medieval village buildings and is itself a tourist attraction so was not the serene/peaceful resort we expected. Beautiful location, sadly poorly executed. Service excellent.

Un hotel muy original.
Por su caracter de pequeño pueblo convertido en hotel le da un aura muy especial. Las vistas de nuestra habitacion eran excelentes, Habitacion “Orufo” altamente recomendable.

My Wife and I had a great stay for our anniversary. The rooms, restaurants, and service were all top notch. It's a unique property with great character. We loved the cellar tour and tasting as well as the horseback riding. The spa was great and I loved getting out of their golf range and 3 hole course as well. I would highly recommend

The gourmet restaurant food and service let us down. But the bistro, rooms and overall experience was incredible particularly the horse ride in the vineyards.

Brilliant
Awesome place - you won't want to leave.... We stayed in one to the villas - benefits of private villa in Tuscany with the services of a 5 star hotel. Nice wine cellar, great food, wonderful area, very warm people...just great. Only issue was that we didn't want to explore the area as so much to enjoy at the hotel!

A hotel that does not care for individuals
Not so good - check in staff abrupt and unhelpful. Were if not for the superb staff (with one exception) at the restaurants and the overall quality of the restaurants, we would have left. Service POOR compared to Il Botaccio (another relais & Chateau where the care warmth and quality were second to none). The balance between 'mass tourism' -buses, groups, roll them in and out; and personal service to individual guests such as ourselves is wrong. Your advertising (web page) is AGGRESSIVELY misleading, intimating a beautiful building as the main residential location rather that a difficult to get to medieval village with no real 'life' to it. Parking not good at all -difficult and indeed a little dangerous. A pity given its outstanding potential

まるで中世の田舎に迷い込んだような素敵なリゾートホテルです。 再生した村一帯がホテルになっており、メインエントランスからホテルのあるヴィレッジまでは車で案内されるのですが、 そこにも係員がいて呼べばすぐにきてくれます。部屋はすべてスイート。 デラックスにとまりましたが、プレミアムでもクラシックでも良さそうでした。 ロマンチックなプールが２つ、そこで寝そべってお酒を飲むのもよし。 山歩き、ワイナリーの見学など休日を満喫しました。 レストランは同じ建物にカジュアルとクラシック（グルメレストラン）がありますが、オススメはグルメの方で 値段はほとんど変わらないのに、前菜やミニデザートがサービスでついてきて、チャージはつきません。 味もグルメは抜群で、責任者のマウリッツオさんに任せておけばお腹のすき具合に合わせた素晴らしいチョイスをしてくれます。 難点は場所が高速から離れた田舎にあるところで、慣れないとGPS頼りに４０分くらいかかりますが、慣れますとスムーズにいきます。フェラガモ家経営の有名なリゾートホテルですので迷ったら聞けばだいたい教えてくれます。 またここのワイン「イルボッロ」は日本でも流通していますが、我々はここのセカンドワインの「PIAN DE NOVA」が大変気に入りました。 フェラガモ経営にかかわらず、ホテルにフェラガモ製品がほとんど置いてないのも好感が持てました

It was an incredible experience. Easy drive to both Florence and Siena, with amazing amenities and an amiable staff. It has my highest recommendation.
